14/02/2026: We went to this restaurant to celebrate an anniversary, choosing it precisely because of its reputation and its Michelin-starred listing. Unfortunately, the experience was profoundly disappointing in almost every way. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait "only ten minutes," yet we were left standing at the entrance for over a quarter of an hour, in a very small space, amidst waiters passing through the kitchen and customers at the register. To "apologize for the wait," we were offered a glass of bubbly and a wine, but served on an empty stomach and without any appetizers. Drinking alcohol standing at the entrance, without so much as a breadstick or an olive, is not exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Once seated, in an extremely small, noisy space with tables very close together, the service remained confused and inattentive. It was also too hot. We had ordered two raw fish appetizers, one each: only one arrived, and only after we notified them was the second one brought. The staff seemed disorganized, distracted, and inattentive to detail. The wait for the next dishes was about an hour. In the meantime, no bread or anything to accompany the drinks was served. The cacio e pepe with raw fish was bitter and heavy, so much so that it remained undigested all night. The amberjack with bergamot and pak choi was the biggest disappointment: the bergamot was barely noticeable, the cooking almost seemed fried, and the dish gave off an unpleasant odor that prevented me from eating it. For a bill of €210, without dessert or coffee (we didn't have the energy to continue), we left the table hungry, disappointed, and sincerely bitter. I don't question the effort, but given the price, quality of the food, and level of service, the experience didn't even begin to live up to expectations or the Michelin star.

20/10/2025: Excellent food, carefully prepared and with an innovative touch. Friendly, attentive, and pleasant staff, attentive service. The atmosphere is warm, pleasant, and relaxing.

04/10/2025: I usually never leave reviews unless I try a place at least a second time, but this time I'm making an exception. The restaurant deserves five stars for the quality of the food, the owners' passion for their craft, the charming location, and, last but not least, the Palestinian flag at the entrance. I ate a delicious boreto on a cold October evening; I hope to return soon to try other dishes.

19/01/2026: I stayed in Trieste for a weekend at the end of December. I was impressed by this restaurant, which I went for lunch and then returned for dinner. The menu offered a wide selection of carefully prepared dishes. I tried the "cauldron di mare" (seawater boiler); I still remember the flavor of those shrimp, the best I've ever tasted for freshness and quality. Spaghetti allo scoglio (seafood spaghetti), a super-abundant and delicious dish, flavorful yet delicate. The cod, the fried calamari.... the fish menu was a total hit! The table service was very friendly and efficient. Attilio was quick to serve, attentive, and helpful. The quality-price ratio was excellent. I will definitely choose this restaurant when I return to Trieste.

10/01/2026: We went to eat at the pop-up restaurant just around the corner, Skaramanzia, and it's still the same owners. We'd read that you could get their best sellers, and we wanted to try both the ravioli and the seafood. In the end, we ordered these two starters and also made some different appetizers by mixing the two menus. Wow! My partner and I were thrilled and have already booked for next week, when we're bringing more friends! Well done, guys, and see you very soon.

09/03/2026: Excellent experience, even for someone like me who's very picky. The bean and shrimp soup was fantastic. The first course was also excellent: egg tagliolini with prawns alla busara. The very kind people welcomed us even without a reservation and when the restaurant was full. Prices were reasonable.

01/03/2026: We had a great time. It's been a while since we've had such fresh, beautifully cooked fish. The wine pairings, offered and recommended by the staff, were perfect, and really enhanced the food. My only complaint was the atmosphere: it's welcoming, but it could use a bit of a makeover. Overall, we were very happy, and it's a place I'd recommend, and we can't wait to return!

08/02/2026: I really enjoyed this experience, especially because I ate very well. The atmosphere was very welcoming, as were the waiters. It was only because I'd finished a dish and had even mopped up the bread with breadcrumbs that a waiter hugged me because he wasn't expecting a guy to eat bread gnocchi with prawns and truffle (a dish I recommend). In my opinion, where does this place go to win four restaurants? In 2016, it was competing. The only problem is that the place is very small, as is the bathroom, and it's cluttered with things. This is something I didn't like, except that these things were all old-fashioned, so they were shown on old TVs like Carosello.
