01/03/2026: I went to Il Portico pizzeria on Wednesday evening and was truly satisfied. I tried the Carmela pizza, with tomato, corte d'assise sauce, fried meatballs, and basil, as well as a Margherita with baked potatoes. I also tried the skin-on French fries and the carbonara frittatina, but that was the only dish I wasn't entirely sold on due to its somewhat bland flavor. Finally, I finished with a truly excellent tiramisu. Everything else was impeccable: the flavors were well-balanced and the presentation was meticulous. The staff was also friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant. The prices are average, but the quality of the dishes makes them more than adequate.

06/01/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance and had the pizza. The pizza was really good; you can taste the excellent quality of the ingredients; it's thin and super digestible. The wood-fired oven always adds something extra. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. We were in a bit of a hurry today, but we'll definitely be back for more; the menu was really interesting. Well done!

18/02/2026: Excellent dining experience at the only Michelin starred restaurant in Bologna. Food was delicious, surprising, well executed, and went beyond just flavor. Service couldn’t have been better. The water menu which had options going up to 50EUR a bottle felt overly fancy, but if it appeals to people … nothing wrong with that. Definitely a good option for a special occasion!

21/03/2026: We came here for lunch on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Excellent service, special food. Extensive wine list. Attentive and friendly staff, never intrusive. Not touristy; we seemed to be the only non-Bolognese guests, a plus for us. Definitely a place to return to. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Fresh and well-prepared seafood cuisine, dishes with balanced flavors and carefully presented. The service is friendly, attentive, and professional, without being intrusive. An ideal place for both a romantic dinner and a relaxed lunch, where quality and simplicity meet. I will definitely be back. Recommended!

02/04/2026: Interesting menu and an outstanding tasting menu for under €80. The fish and seafood were cooked to perfection. The dining room was impeccable, with a great sommelier. The extensive wine list features many local selections at a variety of prices. Wine by the glass is available for €6, for example, to accompany dessert. As for the cheeses (why the French selections???)... the pecorino was powerful and well-aged.

18/10/2025: Best service ever! We were treated like royalty. Food was art for the mouth, flavors and presentation were beautiful! Everything was amazing! Highly recommend for fine dining.

25/01/2026: Unfortunately, I wouldn't return to this restaurant. We waited 45 minutes before they came to take reservations. I'm still waiting for the first course. The cappellacci with chestnuts were tasteless and overcooked. The tagliatelle with mushrooms were also forgettable, without any flavor. The baked potatoes were raw. Those who had fish had a better experience. I'm waiting a long time for the dessert combinations, but at least they were very good. I was very disappointed.

21/09/2025: We ordered spaghetti with clams (not real, but tasty), mixed grill (the best dish and a good value) with a side of roast potatoes, and two pizzas (average). One minus was the wait for the grilled food, which was a bit excessive. Another minus was the bench seating, which became uncomfortable after a long wait. Gianni's remains a must-visit for anyone passing by on Viale Dante.

The kitchen is fully equipped, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the location is ideal for exploring everything. Service: The service deserves special mention. The entire team is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always eager to anticipate our every need. Conclusion: The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair at this level. Every penny is worth it. We felt completely pampered and relaxed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!
