Amazing experience and incredible food, the chef was great and very friendly and hands on checking in with all guests. Also included a complementary shuttle from our hotel. Gotta try the lemon tiramisu it’s a must!

We had just arrived in Positano and the hotel owner recommended this restaurant to us. Besides the incredible view, we received exceptional service from the owners and all the staff. The food was very well-prepared, delicious, and fresh – because I know good food! It was a success, not to mention the lemon tiramisu, which was delicious! I recommend it 100% with great affection!

Salvatore and his wife (and the rest, of course) really gave us a fantastic evening! We were picked up at our hotel by van from Positano town center. The food was fantastic and the wines were top-notch! The homemade cookies were the icing on the cake; we even got a bag to take home! In short: go eat here!

My partner and I love trying new restaurants, but we rarely take the time to leave reviews — this experience absolutely deserved one. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making us feel completely at home. The view from our table was stunning, and the food arrived quickly while still being beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish was exceptional, and the complimentary sides and sorbet at the end were such a thoughtful touch. The service throughout the evening was outstanding, with staff who were attentive, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. Thank you to Il Ritrovo for a truly memorable 5-star dining experience.

Everything was delicious 😋 First, we received bruschetta from the kitchen as an appetizer. Everyone ordered their main course and salads. Everything was placed in the middle of the table and shared. Truffle ravioli, carbonara, seafood, and pasta with lemon sauce. Everything here is simply delicious, no matter what you order. 🥰👌🏼 This is exactly how we imagined real Italian food to be, and we weren't disappointed 🫶 We also tried the wine and limoncello. My husband and I only drink very sweet wines, so we had a Moscato. Both the wine and the limoncello were very tasty.

My partner and I dined at Il Ritrovo on a weeknight in May 2026. We arrived excited given the restaurant’s reputation and location, but unfortunately left feeling underwhelmed. The positives first: the service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely accommodating throughout the evening. The shuttle service was punctual, and the driver was friendly and informative during the ride to the restaurant. The ambiance is undeniably one of Il Ritrovo’s strongest qualities. The restaurant offers stunning views overlooking Positano and the surrounding coastline, creating a very romantic atmosphere. The dining area was clean, organized, and thoughtfully maintained, and nearly every table appeared to have a spectacular view. Unfortunately, the food did not match the level of the service or setting. We started with the bruschetta, followed by rigatoni, the local fish, and grilled vegetables. The bruschetta was disappointing primarily because of the bread, which was extremely hard and difficult to cut, even with a knife. It made the dish unpleasant to eat. The rigatoni had good flavor and the pasta itself was well prepared, but the dish was overly salted to the point that it overwhelmed the other flavors. The local fish was cooked properly and presented well, but overall lacked the depth and freshness we were expecting from a coastal restaurant in this region. The grilled vegetables also fell short. They tasted as though they had been prepared in advance and reheated, resulting in a dry texture and very little flavor. Overall, Il Ritrovo delivers excellent service and a beautiful dining experience visually, but based on our visit, the food itself did not live up to the standard suggested by the atmosphere and reputation.

Words do not do justice to the experience my family had at Il Ritrovo restaurant. We traveled to Italy specifically to honor my father-in-law after and to visit this restaurant. We have a restaurant here, in Sheboygan, WI by the same name. Little did we know the friendship between Chef Salvatore and our Sheboygan restaurant location. Chef Salvatore's passion for sharing food was evident with him personally serving our family - highly recommend his lemon tiramisu (photo attached!)- my favorite dessert from the entire trip! After a delicious lunch, our family picked out fresh vegetables at il Ritrovo and were personally helped in selecting a wine to pair for our evening of cooking at home. Chef Salvatore even shared a jar of his lemon cream sauce and pasta for us to add to our menu. So, we had the chance to bring a bit of Salvatore's cooking home with us that evening. Salvatore and his staff treated us not only as guests, but truly as family. Thank you for an unforgettable afternoon full of outstanding dishes, thoughtful conversation, and lasting memories!

An incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing — authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — and the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. You can tell they care about every detail. Without a doubt, one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. I’ll definitely be coming back!
