09/12/2025: We were there with a group of five. During our five-day stay in Meta, we ate there three times. The pasta was incredibly delicious and, in my opinion, the best I've ever eaten in Italy. The carbonara is highly recommended! The location right on the sea is breathtaking. Therefore, I recommend coming in the evening to enjoy a wonderfully delicious pasta while watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the waves. The staff was always friendly and attentive. For the small town of Meta, this is an absolutely outstanding restaurant and a must-visit for any pasta lover! If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely come back.

12/01/2026: Yesterday we went to this restaurant for lunch. Since it was Sunday and it was very crowded outside, they decided to seat us in a small indoor dining room. Upon arrival, we were greeted rather coldly by one of the waiters, who initially wanted to seat us at a table for two despite there being three of us and plenty of space in the dining room. Only after we asked for a larger table did he accommodate us, but in a rather annoyed manner, probably because we weren't local. Unfortunately, there were several unpleasant incidents during lunch: a dirty fork at the beginning, the menu not explained properly as was done at other tables, and, most seriously, a huge piece of plastic in the wine glass. Part of the wine was neither replaced nor accompanied by an apology, which none of the waiters ever provided. At the end of the meal, the bill came to €153, without being offered coffee or an apology. We won't be returning. The only positives were the quality of the food and the gentleman who came to sing in the dining room.

11/01/2026: Birthday dinner. Very high expectations. We were looking for a decent little place. Sadly disappointed. I ordered tagliolini with scampi. I had a hard time chewing them. They were definitely undercooked. The sauce was very salty. The same taste was found in the paccheri with lobster that my companion ordered... (The lobster was almost as big as my scampi... the price definitely needs reconsidering...) Inside, next to the stairs, there was a lot of clutter in plain sight... I definitely won't be returning. It's a shame, I always follow the place on Instagram and it seemed much better.

04/01/2026: Salvatore, a pleasant discovery, a guardian of true Neapolitan tradition. Whenever I found myself returning home, if I wanted to be on the safe side, I always opted for the Osteria Gobbetto brothers or the more famous Nennella. Being close to my accommodation, I decided to try Salvatore, and I'm sorry to say, but it exceeded our expectations, so much so that we returned twice in 5 days. There are things that take me back to my grandmother's dishes: parmiggiana and sausage, and broccoli rabe above all. I have to make a noteworthy comment about the Genovese: everyone now has this trend of deglazing the Genovese with red wine. Salvatore, however, doesn't... as tradition has it, he prefers a white Genovese, just drizzled with a few cherry tomatoes. I'm sure the next time I return, it will be difficult to find a table at Salvatore's. ❤️ Keep up the good work.

25/11/2025: We got welcomed even if we got there in low season and without booking. The owners are super friendly and I love how the place is decorated. I ordered Ravioli with rabbit (outside the menu) and they were one of the best meals I had in Italy. Lovely place

09/11/2025: DON’T COME HERE! The Food sucks!!! I got the spaghetti and meatballs and was very salty and meatball wasn’t fresh. It’s not even an Italian thing. They charge $4 euro for water and $2 a person for cover charge, ripped off!!!

18/10/2025: Given the great reviews here, we had high expectations - which were not met. The food was good, but not outstanding. Drinks and appetizers are way overpriced.

13/01/2026: We had dinner at this beautiful restaurant. Cristiano welcomed us with kindness and professionalism, punctuating our evening with his pleasant presence. We ate the chef's spaghetti allo scarpariello, an exceptional first course. This was followed by two delicious cuts of meat. All accompanied by a red wine recommended by Cristiano. An impeccable choice, a light wine that paired perfectly with our food. To finish, we tried their cheesecake. This dish, too, was nothing to complain about. Delicious! One of the best restaurants on the island.

11/01/2026: I tried both the pizza and the exceptional first courses. We were with friends (many), and the service was quick and courteous. The pasta and potatoes are worth a try.

The superb food, the kindness of the owners and waiters, the antique furnishings, and the wonderful view of Capri make Antico Franceschiello a restaurant dear to our hearts. It's always a pleasure to return! Definitely worth a try.
