12/05/2026: Our lunch consisted of a salad starter, ziti with onion and beef ragu, grilled squid on a salad. Perfection from start to finish. Our server was fantastic. We were seated indoors, which was very comfortable. The tables were nicely separated, so it was easy to have conversation. Highly recommend if you are in Positano.

07/06/2026: This restaurant surprised me with how good the pasta was for a restaurant with such a beautiful view. That said, the caprese salad was probably my least favorite of the three I tried in Italy. Not bad, but not a stand out either. The pasta on the other hand had an amazing sauce that tasted like the sea. Yes, it is expensive for lunch, but the view is unbeatable. If you compare with other restaurants in town, the price doesn't seem so bad because everything seems expensive here.

05/06/2026: I organized my birthday dinner entirely remotely, managing everything over the phone, and I couldn't have made a better choice. From the first call, Mr. Raffaele proved to be an exemplary professional: exceptionally hospitable, kind, and available. He took care of every detail with great attention, making me feel at ease despite the distance. On the day of the event, everything was perfect. The food was simply excellent, with carefully crafted dishes and high-quality ingredients that delighted all the guests. A huge thank you to Mr. Raffaele and all the staff for making this day special. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend this restaurant.

16/05/2026: Truly excellent food, carefully prepared dishes, and acceptable service. The only negative: I was served a dish labeled 'baccalà alla Lucariello,' but the fish didn't taste like cod fillet at all. It's a shame about this lack of transparency, because the overall quality of the cuisine deserves better.

11/05/2026: An unacceptable experience and total disorganization. Unfortunately, I can't rate the food, which I had fond memories of, since I wasn't even given the opportunity to sit down. Despite having made a reservation on Wednesday, May 6th, for Sunday, May 10th, Mother's Day, we were left waiting for over an hour and ten minutes. On my second attempt to make a reservation within the time limit, I was offered the "tavern," a place my father couldn't comfortably access due to his mobility issues. It's inconceivable that a restaurant would accept reservations if it can't manage the flow of customers or respect their schedules. After 70 minutes of fruitless waiting and total indifference from the staff, who, instead of seating us, kept offering us a welcome "spumante" (which we obviously didn't accept), we decided to give up and go eat elsewhere. Poor management, lack of professionalism, and total disregard for other people's time. We wanted to celebrate a family anniversary, but it all turned out to be a nightmare. I'm so sorry, because the quality of the food is worth a visit, but if you're looking for a place where reservations are worthwhile, look elsewhere. It's an experience you'll never repeat.

30/05/2026: Wow! Finding a non touristy place in Positano is not easily possible. While this is not touristy area their prices truly are but the food is so so amazing. Good - all items we ordered as vegetarian including dessert were wonderful. Reserved the nicest seats before you arrive Bad - they provide shuttle service to your place but we waited for 40 mins and nothing and then when someone shows up they didn’t take us because we are not on their route! We spend $120! And restaurant staff was not helpful at all.

30/05/2026: Came in here in 2016, and returned twice in 2026 when coming back to Positano. The plating won’t wow you, but the taste has you coming back for more. The views are impeccable, and the fact that this family run is inspirational. There are so many flashy and flavour lacking restaurants in Positano - this spot bucks that trend. Simple, tasty and memorable. It’s a long hike up from the action, but absolutely worth it. Also, it’s always easier walking down than up after you eat - especially with a deliciously full stomach. So just do it. Photos are from all 3 trips spanning a decade :)

09/06/2026: We ate there on June 7th, 2026. There were four of us, and the food was wonderful. The location is spectacular, with a sea breeze and right on the beach. We'll be back! The person who served us was very attentive.

08/06/2026: Great setting, the manager is fantastic, very attentive, always has a kind word, and the food is delicious. Plus, you can relax on the beach afterwards! I'll be back!

30/12/2025: I enjoyed both the restaurant, which has a spectacular view, superb seafood dishes, and impeccable service, and the hospitality. The rooms were spacious and clean, with large, comfortable beds and kind, professional owners. We couldn't have asked for more.

03/05/2026: A lovely lunch. Seems like this is an attraction for musicians touring their tambourines for contributions for little effort. Not the restaurants fault obviously.

30/04/2026: Lovely spot to eat! The gnocchi alla sorrentina was really delicious. The staff wasn't pushy, but actually super friendly. If we had to give a small downside, it would be that the food arrived very quickly, even at the same time as our aperitif.

09/06/2026: Local excellence from a courageous entrepreneur who believed in his region. We went there on Friday evening for dinner. The cuisine was refined and satisfying, both for the palate and the budget. We'll be back whenever we can.

12/05/2026: Perfect place to stay in a town full of climbing! They have a private beach with food and bar service! And from uour balcony your looking right at the Mediterranean 💙💙💙. Room was clean and the bathroom was great {American great}.

10/05/2026: Best location if you arrive by ferry☆☆☆☆☆ Porter service available (FREE) Attentive and friendly hotel staff☆☆☆☆☆ Clean rooms and bedding with great views Even the breakfast is perfect Come twice, come three times. It looks much better in person than the photos on the platform. I would stay at Pupeto again if I came back.

16/05/2026: Everything was perfect: exceptional view of the Bay of Naples, spacious and clean room, pleasant staff. The restaurant is very good with extremely reasonable prices. There's a daily shuttle to Sorrento town center. Thank you to the owners for this perfect stay!

14/05/2026: First time in Sorrento and this hotel exceeded expectations. It is quiet, clean and the Family that owns it is amazing. Highly recommend it if you want to step away from the hustle outside your window from the main tourist area down below. We stayed in room 106 and it was spacious and very clean inside. The only critique was the a/c didn't work while we were there but the weather was cool enough we had the door open and they provided an oscillating fan. The breakfast is simple but more than sufficient to get your day started with a fresh assortment of pastries, a fresh orange juice machine, plenty of coffee and some other various items to enjoy. The shuttle provided stops hourly most of the day leaving you right above the main tourist area so it is convenient. Don't forget to try their Restaurant for dinner! We are there our last night. Not only was the food Amazing. It was one of the least inexpensive meals while in Sorrento. You must try it! Overall Il Nido is highly recommended. Grazie Il Nido Familia
