23/04/2026: At the end of August, we were returning from vacation and stopped for two nights in San Vito Chietino. Our host recommended La Kantina because we wanted to try a fish soup. Excellent advice, and the fish soup is delicious, but you obviously need to order it. The only thing I'd say is that, not knowing the dish, we ordered one each. I'd say perhaps a bit too much, because the portion is generous and that's fine for the variety of fish. However, we had to leave the sauce aside, even though it was delicious. I'd say one fish soup is enough for two people. When we're back in the area, we'll definitely be back.

19/04/2026: We returned here after several years, and honestly, I wouldn't go back. 1) There's no menu with prices, which leads to unpleasant surprises at the cash register. 2) The appetizer was €18, which includes the cold dish (which you see in the photo), and we had two, and then the hot dishes, which you also see in the photo, and that's for two. 3) The roast, which you see in the photo, was a steal: €20 for 1 red mullet, 1 sea bass, 3 cuttlefish, and 1 shrimp... 4) The fried portion deserves credit. The portion you see in the photo is for one person, so it's excellent, even for the price. 5) In total, we spent €90, including free water, coffee, wine, or anything else. A bit too much, I'd say!

13/08/2026: We had a delicious mixed fry and a really good pizza both in terms of cooking and quality ingredients, everything excellent, impeccable service, very kind and helpful waiters, all accompanied by a spectacular view. Congratulations.

11/03/2026: I've always enjoyed this restaurant, which offers a splendid sea view, delicious fresh seafood dishes, and impeccable service. There's ample on-site parking and prices are in line with the menu.

02/06/2026: We went for lunch as a group of 8 and ordered 8 seafood spaghetti dishes to avoid long waits, 4 fried fish dishes, and 2 French fries. We were told the wait was for the first course to be cooked (we thought 10-15 minutes), but after an hour, still nothing. So, we asked how the dishes were going and they rudely told us they were cooking (without even checking in the kitchen). Then, asking if we had 8 risottos, we immediately said no, as we had all ordered spaghetti. After 10 minutes, they brought us the risottos, at which point we reiterated that we had spaghetti. After 15 minutes, they finally brought the first course back, and instead of spaghetti, we had egg chitarrine. We ate without saying anything because we were very hungry. They told us that the man had made a mistake in taking our orders with risottos instead of spaghetti, but we don't know why the chitarrine. The fried dishes went well, then the climax came at the cashier. We got to the cashier expecting a special treatment for the wait and the mistake, but instead🙈, the bill was 213 euros. We asked him, "Divided by 8, how much is that?" He told us 31, which makes 30. 213 divided by 8 is about 26. We naively didn't recalculate, we trusted the special treatment. To top it all, after more than an hour we ate what we hadn't ordered, plus a €5 surcharge. We were cuckolded and beaten.

02/06/2026: Unfortunately, it was a very negative experience. There were eight of us and we waited about an hour for our first courses. After all this time, we received risotto, when we had actually ordered spaghetti. We then waited another 10 minutes for the correct dish, which turned out to be egg chitarrine, not the spaghetti listed on the menu. We waited another 20 minutes for the fried food. When we received the bill, we mentioned both the long wait and the mistake in our order, but no one apologized adequately, nor did we receive any kind of thoughtfulness. In fact, when we checked the receipt, we realized we had paid about €4 per person more than the correct total. Our mistake for not checking immediately! It's a shame because the food was good, but the service was slow, disorganized, and rude.

15/06/2026: Very nice and relaxing place. The background music is very pleasant. The wine list is extensive. The seafood risotto is good.

19/08/2026: High prices and meager portions. €8 for a piece of lasagna is excessive. The fried food is served on a small plastic plate (the one used for desserts).

17/08/2026: Enjoy your lunch by the sea. Very good seafood salad, relaxing atmosphere. They even cooked me some gluten-free spaghetti in a separate pot.

08/08/2026: Beautiful location, attentive and helpful staff, but you can't bring hot and cold appetizers accompanied by borlotti and cannellini beans, not even cuttlefish...at least accompany those with peas!

21/08/2026: We sat down at 9:00 PM and ate at 11:00 PM. The service took a long time and there was no warning of delays (we had to ask several times). Quality food, very good. The terrace overlooking the sea is pleasant. Courteous staff.

20/08/2026: I went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends...a real disappointment. The food was poor quality, the pasta dishes were poorly seasoned (the pasta with clams seemed overcooked and had only a few clams), and above all, the wait was inhumane (over two hours for the first courses). I strongly advise against it.
