I'd say the combination of raw carpaccio and fish soup is worth a try... The fish soup is truly excellent and generous. Definitely worth a try.

My happy place when I visit my friends from Ortona... A sea-view terrace to enjoy the sea breeze, an old-school "classic" seafood restaurant atmosphere, as tradition dictates. Simple, fresh seafood, but the simple kind you like, not the banal kind. Lately, gourmet trends have focused on aesthetics over substance. Giorgio, the owner, is a smart and knowledgeable guy; I hope he continues like this! Will I return? Of course! It also has reserved parking, which, given the area, especially in the summer, is a huge plus.

A restaurant overlooking the sea and dog-friendly. Managed by Giorgio in the dining room and his mother in the kitchen. Giorgio is a wonderful host, a young man who is competent and professional in everything he does! We stopped for lunch. The menu, featuring seafood as the main focus, includes local specialties. Everything is delicious and incredibly fresh. The dishes are made to order, so relax and enjoy the sea view. We wish Giorgio and his family all the best. See you soon.

23/04/2026: At the end of August, we were returning from vacation and stopped for two nights in San Vito Chietino. Our host recommended La Kantina because we wanted to try a fish soup. Excellent advice, and the fish soup is delicious, but you obviously need to order it. The only thing I'd say is that, not knowing the dish, we ordered one each. I'd say perhaps a bit too much, because the portion is generous and that's fine for the variety of fish. However, we had to leave the sauce aside, even though it was delicious. I'd say one fish soup is enough for two people. When we're back in the area, we'll definitely be back.
07/02/2026: We've been satisfied customers for many years. Excellent seafood cuisine based on simplicity. The freshest ingredients. Excellent value. The owners' kindness is priceless, and the atmosphere is quaint and family-run. Highly recommended.

Trabocco Vento di Scirocco

03/06/2025: Siamo stati in un giorno festivo e il trabocco era ovviamente pieno! Il pesce è stato buono, le quantità sono ridotte! Ho apprezzato molto i modi gentili del personale che pur trovandosi in difficoltà (perché gestire il tutto con una cucina così piccola non è facile) si sono dimostrati molto pazienti e disponibili! Non sono amante dei menù fissi .. ma se volete apprezzare il fascino di mangiare sospesi sopra al mare … questa è la scelta giusta! Bisogna avere pazienza per un po’ di attesa… ma se si va per vacanza… teoricamente dovremmo apprezzare il tempo lento … ovvero l’opposto del ritmo frenetico delle giornate lavorative! Complimenti al personale! Ci avete lasciato un bel ricordo!!
02/06/2025: La proprietaria è stata gentile a farci accomodare nonostante il ritardo rispetto alla prenotazione. Per questo non ci hanno potuto servire il primo. L'antipasto assolutamente da bocciare : tre mini porzioni ( compreso un salmone affumicato decisamente fuori contesto). Buona la frittura. Formula menù fisso che io non apprezzo affatto. Se non trovate posto in altri trabocchi e volete provare l'esperienza.. Vj potrete accontentare di un pranzo nella norma. La location compensera'
