08/08/2025: Bel locale che affaccia sul golfo di Vasto. Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Gli spaghetti alle vongole erano davvero buoni come il resto della cena. Ho apprezzato l'assaggio di dolci. Servizio molto cordiale. Sono stati veloci anche se il ristorante si stava riempiendo. Meglio prenotare se non si vuole aspettare per il tavolo. Lo consiglio.

03/08/2025: Personale gentile e molto disponibile , piatti abbondanti e di qualità ottima . Abbiamo preso uno spaghetto alle vongole e 2 gravioli ripieni di pesce che erano eccezionali, la frittura di paranza e sogliola per mio figlio il Prezzo giusto per quello che abbiamo mangiato lo consiglio vivamente.
24/07/2025: Tan bueno que yo y mi prometido hemos estado aquí dos veces seguidas (hora de la cena y al día siguiente hora del almuerzo). La relación calidad-precio es totalmente vale la pena la visita. El propietario y el maitre es muy amable y también adecuadamente preparado. Los platos estaban absolutamente deliciosos; recomendamos ir a una comida a base de pescado, porque todo estaba bien cocinado y con sabor. En consecuencia, sugiero probar el aperitivo frío y caliente, luego ir por el marisco de cicatello y pesto y definitivamente debe tener el pescado frito (uno de los más crujientes que he tenido) todo acompañado de una buena botella de vino blanco local. Simplemente: ¡a por IT!

31/07/2025: Como un visitante regular IT o a San Salvo a menudo había escuchado Al Metro muy elogiado por los lugareños, por lo que fue con gran anticipación que cenamos allí. ¡NO decepcioné! Escondido en el área del puerto deportivo, usted es transportado inmediatamente a una obra de diseño minimalista elegante, sentado debajo de un espeso dosel de vides, inmediatamente es consciente de que está a punto de ser tratado con algo muy especial. NO hay duda de que en contraste con el diseño del restaurante, la comida será la que hable, la comida será la estrella del espectáculo. Nos pusimos en manos de los expertos y ellos cumplieron. Cocina innovadora y emocionante, utilizando ingredientes frescos y de origen local se colocaron delicadamente frente a nosotros. Cada curso se convirtió en un tema de discusión y conversación. Lo más destacado para mí fueron los chefs se enfrentan a vongole y el helado de ensalada. Debo mencionar los palitos de pan cuidadosamente hechos que no podía dejar de comer. Este restaurante de gestión familiar es acogedor y emocionante, Antonio y su esposa eran acogedores y muy serviciales. Una necesidad absoluta.
16/07/2025: Mediocre l'accoglienza, mediocre la location e, soprattutto, mediocre il cibo per lo meno per quel che ho potuto provare nel "menù contemporaneo" proposto come percorso. Eccesso di formalismo in sala e un po' di spocchia di troppo. Per me la stella è davvero inspiegabile.

27/07/2025: Siamo stati a cena, menù fisso € 50,00 a persona per mangiare miseri antipasti, una cozza a testa e lo stesso vale per lo scampo, tortino ripieno di baccalà che non sapeva di niente, piselli, lasciamo stare.... Primo con sugo che era veramente imbarazzante... frittura misera, dolce non parliamone. Almeno il personale era gentile.

08/09/2025: We went on the evening of August 15th to eat at this restaurant that has recently changed management. There were three of us. I would like to point out that having been there three months earlier and having had a great time I decided to return for August 15th. We sat down and they told us that they only had a fixed fish menu but they kindly obliged us by letting us order meat from the menu. Unfortunately I didn't find what I was hoping for. Even though there were only 4 tables to serve we waited almost an hour for the appetizer, but that's okay it wasn't a problem for us and they kindly came to apologize for the wait, we imagined that the appetizer would require preparation time since we took two mixed Abbruzzese appetizers, but what then arrived consisted of these exact dishes and quantities per person: a fried pizza with a piece of mortadella on top, two tablespoons of sautéed chicory, half a slice of aubergine and three slices of courgettes, two pieces of boiled broccoli, two small meatballs cacio e ova and two tablespoons of tripe in sauce. Total 16 euros per person! Then we ordered two mixed roasts of meat, a portion of baked potatoes and only one first course, the gnocchi Vesuvio. I had ordered the mixed roast meat three months before and I really liked it because it consisted of a small veal steak, a nice big sausage and a nice piece of lamb, unfortunately this time it wasn't like that, we got a plate with a small sausage as big as a thumb and a slice of veal and that's it (the wording "mixed" can't consist of just two pieces). When I asked why the lamb was missing, I was told that they had removed it from the plate to make it lighter for the summer, but kept the same price... Absurd, since the menu offered the option of ordering just the lamb and in any case tripe or fried pizzas don't seem like summer dishes compared to a piece of roast lamb... meh. In the end, two appetizers as described above, two second courses with a slice of meat and a sausage each, a first course of fish gnocchi, a liter of house wine, two bottles of water and a coffee total 98 euros. As for the quality of the food some things were good others less sincerely. Clean environment and friendly staff.
05/09/2025: Wonderful experience. I'd already been there one evening for a dinner with colleagues and had a great impression, so I decided to take my wife last night for a tasting of the freshest fish (€35). Five PLATES of appetizers (not appetizers), carefully prepared and unpredictable, that I'd never tried elsewhere, and a generous and delicious first course. The dinner far, far exceeded our expectations. Even though we were more than full, I recommend ending the dinner with a sublime dessert, the "sospiro." The owner and waitress made us feel at home. 14/09/2025: The service is in keeping with the beauty of the restaurant. The waiters are always prompt and efficient. Now for the downside: the five-course menu comes to a total of about 80 grams of food. This would be fine if the dishes lived up to the restaurant's ambitions. All for €60 per person, excluding service charge, water, and a glass of Pecorino wine, which can be found online for €4.90 a bottle. Having already read negative reviews, I advise the owner, who I'm sure will respond, to carefully reread your comment, checking spelling and paying particular attention to the use of h's. It's never too late to improve, even in the restaurant business. UPDATE POST RESTAURANT OWNER'S RESPONSE I'd like to point out that you started by using the formal "lei" and then the informal "tu" with me. A mistake I probably last made in third grade. I'll spare you any comments about the vandalism of punctuation.
07/09/2025: A Slow Food Presidium, it obviously serves gourmet cuisine, but the two of us left hungry and with empty wallets. We ordered a sampling of appetizers and a main course each, but the sauces and other seasonings in all the dishes covered the flavor of the fish. The prices were high, the portions were small, though the service was quick and efficient. I wouldn't go back!

03/01/2025: Pranzo con sorpresa finale. Buona l accoglienza ma non è possibile avere un menù scritto con i prezzi, le portate vengono elencate a voce . In quattro due antipasti di salumi, 2 primi un centrotavola di arrosto di carne misto (non abbondante) , un insalata, messo vino della casa e una bottiglia di acqua 130 euro. Costo elevato per la qualità, la quantità ed la tipologia del locale. Sicuramente esperienza da non ripetere né da consigliare.

05/09/2025: Many years ago, when I still lived in the north of the country, we bought a seaside home in Francavilla, on Via Delle Driadi. As always happens in these cases, over time, we questioned the wisdom of our choice, concluding that, as with all stages of a family's life, some things, as a result of the decision to buy a seaside home, turned out to be positive, others less so. Among the good things that happened to us, along with our new living situation, was undoubtedly the proximity to the Merope beach resort. Here, we spent every day of our summers in absolute serenity, allowing us to make an important contribution to the growth, education, and socialization of our children. Sometimes, many things in life are taken for granted, but looking back on them after so many decades, it becomes clear that among the many situations that contribute to the development of young people, choosing the right beach resort can also be a key factor, especially if you spend more than three months of your life there during the year. Thank you, Sergio, for helping us achieve a positive balance of family experiences.
27/08/2025: We rented an umbrella and two sun loungers at this beach resort and were very happy with the price. The beach resort offers excellent services, and has a private beach area where you can enjoy the beautiful, crystal-clear sea of ​​Francavilla al Mare.

14/04/2025: Siamo stati consigliati a cenare in questo locale da amici del posto e anche dall'impiegato dell'hotel (dite che vi ho mandato io!!!) ma le aspettative sono andate totalmente deluse sotto tanti punti di vista. Il locale si presenta bene, poco distante dal faro di Punta Penna, con una ampia vetrata sul porto di Vasto (la sera c'è completamente buio e non si vede nulla, ma di giorno sarà senz'altro piacevole alla vista). Bello l'arredamento, pulito e in stile marinaro, col bianco e blu che la fanno da padroni. Le note negative arrivano con il servizio e la cucina. Partiamo dal servizio: acqua che arriva tardi e va richiesta più volte, pane uguale, prima dell'antipasto viene richiesto il piattino per poter assaggiare l'olio (buono!) col pane. Passano i minuti e su 8 commensali viene portato UN solo piattino che facciamo passare tutti e assaggiamo il buon olio col pane! Alla domanda: perchè solo uno? La risposta è stata: tanto gli antipasti sono pronti! Ma il fine cena è stato ancora più esilarante, quando vengono chiesti 2 bicchieri di Chartreuse, il liquore d'erbe. Il cameriere chiede se "il RUM" lo vogliamo col ghiaccio o senza! Passiamo alla cucina con un solo esempio ma rivelatore: le linguine ai ricci hanno il sapore solo di limone. Peccato! Conto corretto ma la cena non è stata soddisfacente!

02/09/2025: We hadn't booked! It's true that in a seaside area, it would have been better to book. I gave it 4 stars not for the food or the waiters, because they were super helpful and kind! But for the manager's father, I think, who told us and six others to wait outside (in a somewhat authoritative tone) while they looked for a table for the last arrivals! (i.e., us and the others). The service was fast, the pizza was good, and the waiter, Romano, was so friendly!
31/08/2025: The owner is very arrogant and apparently doesn't like German tourists; the bill arrived before I even got my coffee. I was looking forward to a great wood-fired pizza, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment: too much cheese and the crust was burnt... What a pity.
