18/02/2026: Top location, a huge villa with a huge garden where you can take a lovely stroll and in the summer, dine outside, enjoy aperitifs, etc. Top dishes. Highly recommended.

15/02/2026: Super helpful staff, unique variety of food (both meat and fish, and even pizza) at fair prices and generous portions. They have a play area for children both inside and outside. What can I say: the perfect place for a family meal.

20/11/2025: I was passing through Verona and was looking for a place to have a quiet lunch, perhaps something traditional. My Google Maps search found Osteria Dogana Vecia, which immediately inspired me, so I decided to give it a try. I showed up without a reservation and, fortunately, found a table. The menu doesn't offer a wide variety of dishes, but the selection is "traditional." I decide to order the ricotta gnocchi with truffle cream, which turns out to be soft, tasty, and satisfying. I'm hungry, and since it looks like a long day, I also dive into the second course of the chicken alla scaligera. Another pleasant surprise that I'm positively impressed with, even though I'm not a fan of raisins. I skipped dessert because there's a limit to everything, but even then, the offer was tempting. I get up, pay €36, and leave, complimenting myself on the excellent lunch. I'm more than satisfied with the meal and the experience at the restaurant. Highly recommended. Thank you very much!

15/04/2026: We discovered this place by chance and it amazed us greatly... genuine dishes but above all, discovering that Soave raw ham exists is amazing ❤️❤️❤️ THE DISHES ARE BEAUTIFUL, ABANDONED, A TRUE RESTAURANT FROM A TIME NOW PAST..... 18/03/2026: Refined atmosphere. Excellent service. Fresh raw fish appetizer. Delicious paccheri with lobster and sea bass with potatoes. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail. Quality wines paired with the dishes. Every time it's a pleasure! Thank you!

22/04/2026: We were in Malcesine again and ate at the Hotel Alpino (opposite the parking lot entrance in the center) again. I had the seafood, and my wife had a rather large sea bream, which also included a salad and fries. Everything was well prepared and, at €42, a good value. No cover charge.

18/04/2026: The hotel itself is average. The rooms are clean but basic and a little cramped, the shower is also very cramped. The location is great, next to the waterside and almost in the center of town. Service was friendly and helpful. While it did have parking, it was a seven minute walk away and in a rather cramped alley, so if you have a really wide car you wont fit, but it did it's job and definitely isn't a detriment. Hotel breakfast was also decent. Overall an average experience, though I can commend the employees for being friendly.

08/04/2026: A dream place with a special panorama. A place that identifies with the history of Valpolicella, which is taken care of by the fourth generation of descendants and whose history is fascinating. The helpful and well-qualified staff offers impeccable services. Last but not least, the wine is of a chosen quality. I recommend it with confidence.

30/03/2026: We went on Sunday for a tasting at the relais. The wine was delicious, the platters were excellent, and the location with a wonderful view was a perfect backdrop. Bonus points for the sommelier, Francesco, a passionate, kind, and approachable man who guided us through the history of the local wines. It was a wonderful experience, highly recommended!

24/03/2026: The meat is good but the price is a little high, eating out can be an advantage depending on the season, but it's still early, especially if the mushrooms are turned off for heating while you're still at the table

03/05/2026: The kindness and willingness to welcome us even went so far as to reserve a table for two, which quickly became a table for four, even making room for the children. The service was excellent, and the attention to detail was impeccable, without making us feel like just another tourist. The mixed grilled fish was excellent, as was the mixed fried fish. The bill was honest and served with a smile. Recommended.

03/04/2026: Well, we've known La Forgia for at least 20 years and have always enjoyed eating there! Today I wasn't happy. The luccio in salsa was dry, bland, uninspired, and unworthy! The seafood risotto was al dente, but without the fish! The trotta was excellent! The house wine was overpriced at €10 for 0.5 liters. What a shame... Perhaps it was just a fluke? What's annoying is that the crisps are cleared away almost as soon as the main course is finished... they would go well with the leftover wine...

09/02/2026: The restaurant is airy, bright, and very clean. Very good service, tasty and plentiful food. I had excellent paccheri alla catamaran, and my partner had a very good pizza. Reasonable prices. Very clean bathrooms, a sign of excellent and well-organized management. We'll be back.

06/04/2026: This restaurant is big a scaaaam. Was here on a leisurely dinner. I wanted to order the fish. It is 20euros on the menu. The guy said ohh, today’s catch is, bigger why don’t you share it between 2 person. So how much do you think they charged us? Maybe 2*20=40€. Wrong according to the great Italien mathematics, 60€ without any explanation.We’ve learned it not bevor ordering but when checking the bill. We asked our waiter about it, he couldn’t give us an answer. So don’t go there. It rather spend 60 euros on fishing Gear and get that thing myself. At least the prices there are transparent and I know how much to expect beforehand.
