The atmosphere is intimate, simple yet tastefully curated, without excess: everything is designed to make you feel at ease, without forced formality. The service was super friendly, genuine, and always present, yet with a naturalness that is greatly appreciated. The cuisine follows a classic approach, but is executed truly well: flavorful, balanced dishes with great attention to flavor. Nothing is left to chance; even the simplicity reveals a thoughtful approach. A restaurant that doesn't need to impress with special effects, because it captivates with authenticity, warmth, and quality.

04/03/2026: We've been coming to the city every year for over 20 years – the food at Al Cantinon was some of the best we've ever had. The portions aren't large, but they're of excellent quality and delicious – we especially loved the grilled eel! The restaurant itself is very welcoming, and the friendly service added to the great atmosphere. It was a truly wonderful evening 😍.

03/03/2026: I stayed at this hotel during a cycling weekend in the Po Delta. The hotel is in an excellent location for excursions along the Po, as access to the cycling paths is right behind it. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was recently renovated. The hotel has private parking and a lockable bicycle shelter. The staff were all very friendly. We chose half-board and were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. Excellent value for money.

23/02/2026: I had a delicious pizza here! I'm a vegetarian and don't speak much Italian, but this friendly lady calmly explained all the options (lots of options!) in English. The pizza itself is really fresh, and the crust is perfectly light and crispy. I would recommend it to everyone. I wanted to get some takeout but ended up sitting down. Also: I don't think I've ever eaten so well for so little money.

06/01/2026: The wait was a bit long, but it was well worth it. We tried bigoli with sardines, bigoli with lake fish, and more. Everything was very good, and the portions were generous. Some dishes and desserts were imaginatively presented. The atmosphere was pleasant, both inside and out. The service was perfect.

26/12/2025: We had lunch at Osteria Lizzarola on Christmas Day and it was a truly wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for the holidays, with attentive and consistently friendly service. The Christmas menu was meticulously crafted: traditional dishes prepared with quality ingredients, authentic flavors, and generous portions. Every course was a pleasant surprise, from appetizer to dessert. The quality-price ratio was also excellent. A Christmas lunch that made us feel right at home, but with something extra. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

17/02/2026: During a quick visit to the beautiful city of Padua, this restaurant located along the river was recommended to us. The restaurant is well-decorated, with a beautiful window overlooking the river. The restrooms were spotless, despite our late reservation. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the service was a bit slow, but we had lunch the day after Valentine's Day, after a busy evening, so this review isn't indicative of the standard. As for the food, our choices met our expectations. Prices are clearly highlighted on the menu. The portions are reasonable, not overly generous, but sufficient for a decent meal. We ordered two appetizers for four of us to share: Venetian-style chicken in saor (photo 1) and pizzaiola-style fried burrata (photo 2), both excellent. The chicken was truly delicate and tasty, and the burrata was beautifully fried. For the main course: two braised beef dishes on soft polenta (photo 3), a sliced ​​beef (photo 4), and a sausage and cabbage pie with Morlacco cheese (photo 5), the latter actually found among the first courses. All the choices met our expectations: the braised beef was incredibly tender. To top it off, two tiramisu del nonno and some cream-filled biscuits. Total cost with bread, service charge, and four bottles of water: €157.50.

15/03/2026: It was alot of empty tables but without a reservation, we could not seat immediately and had to wait for 1 hour, after waiting 1 hour the tables are even emptier than before.. the food was okay, eatable, but not extraordinarily good.. The staffs kinda rushed us to finish eating.. Look at the reply from the restaurant about my comment, so unprofessional and very rude. I will take the 3 stars and give it 1 star. Never gonna come back to this rude restaurant.

03/04/2026: A very refined and elegant venue without being pretentious. Impeccable, attentive, and friendly service. Lunch offerings with extraordinary value. From the appetizer with a soft-boiled egg, to the first courses, the tasty cockerel with delicious crispy potatoes, warm homemade bread, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, to the desserts like tiramisu and chocolate salami, both delicious. The wine list is extensive and well-chosen. When we pass through Padua, it's a must-see!

25/02/2026: I often return to this restaurant; I consider it one of the best in Padua. I recommend the tasting menu with wine pairings. The location overlooks a very quiet street, and the restaurant is well-kept and authentic. Impeccable service, with a level of customer service that many other restaurants in the city lack (a bag holder for ladies, and they take care of coats, which is not a given given the average service in the city). They also ask about any food preferences or allergies. The à la carte menu offers a good selection; I recommend the tastings. Excellent service. I recommend it for a small dinner of 2-4 people. We'll definitely return several times a year!
