It was an excellent seafood restaurant, with an old-fashioned atmosphere, from the furnishings to the classical music in the background, unfortunately on December 31, 2025 it closed, not because of the management's will, but I think on the part of the owners...Sic!!!

We were here for lunch today: we had hot appetizers, crudités, spaghetti with clams, and lemon and strawberry sorbet.
We sat on the terrace overlooking the lake, enjoying the beautiful day and the view of Lake Garda.
The service of the talented and beautiful Cornelia made our lunch perfect.

A group of us came here to celebrate my partners 40th from the UK. We had an amazing evening at this restaurant! The atmosphere was brilliant, the food was beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
This was our best night in Bardolino by far. The finer details from the owner and staff were fabulous. A complimentary welcome glass of prosecco as well as some home made liquor at the end of the evening. They also came out singing happy birthday to my partner with a sign and a sparkler.
We all said that if we visited Bardolino again in the future, we would all want ro visit Ristorante Piccolo Doge again!
Thank you so much for such a fun and tasty evening.

THE PLACE OF PLACES!
Entering this restaurant, you're immediately and unexpectedly transported back to the '80s.
Dishes, waiters, furnishings, table settings... everything is perfectly frozen, resisting time with great tenacity.
Il Fondatore is absurdly absurd, defying every rule, like something out of the most bizarre character in a novel.
In short, if you're looking for a pleasant and different evening, this is the perfect place!
