I don't recommend it. It's a very quiet and pleasant place with a small terrace overlooking a canal. Now there's a building under construction next door. Not particularly comfortable chairs on the terrace. Very good food, fair for the price. Waiters, mostly, with a pleasant attitude, but overwhelmed by work and scattered. I don't know what problem they had in the kitchen, but it took 1 hour between the antipasti and the first course. We can all understand that there could be a problem, but at least the customers deserve an apology and some explanation and they didn't do either. Personally, I'm sure I won't repeat it or recommend it. When you pay more than €100 for a dinner, I expect at least the same as when you pay €1: respect.

A very atmospheric place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was romantic. Good local wine at a very reasonable price. Delicious food and exquisite presentation. Wonderful, cozy, homey service. A quiet and romantic setting away from the bustling tourist street.

We ate at one of the outdoor tables. We tried the ragu pasta and a tiramisu to share. The price is high, but that's typical of restaurants in Venice. The food was very good.

Canal side dinner of octopus and beetroot pasta. Great food and romantic atmosphere. Construction across the canal cut the vibe a bit, but location is quiet and quaint. Nice house wine.

A little gem.
Al Cantinon is one of those places that immediately makes you feel at ease, as if you were a guest in someone's home.
The atmosphere is intimate, simple yet tastefully curated, without excess: everything is designed to make you feel at ease, without forced formality.
The service was super friendly, genuine, and always present, yet with a naturalness that is greatly appreciated.
The cuisine follows a classic approach, but is executed truly well: flavorful, balanced dishes with great attention to flavor. Nothing is left to chance; even the simplicity reveals a thoughtful approach.
A restaurant that doesn't need to impress with special effects, because it wins you over with authenticity, warmth, and quality.

We've been coming to the city every year for over 20 years – the food at Al Cantinon was some of the best we've ever had. The portions aren't large, but they're of excellent quality and delicious – we especially loved the grilled eel!
The restaurant itself is very welcoming, and the friendly service added to the great atmosphere. It was a truly wonderful evening 😍.

Not far from Rialto, this small restaurant has a very welcoming and well-kept location (if the weather permits, I recommend dining outside with a view of the lagoon and gondolas). The cuisine is Venetian but revisited with refined combinations. The fish dishes are well presented and all exceptional in taste. Good wine and service.
