19/08/2026: Let's start with the positives: the panoramic terrace is beautiful, and the garden under the trees at sunset was truly evocative. Everything else was extremely disappointing. The menu says the platter can be ordered for just one person—quote: ask our staff—and then the waitress tells me it's a minimum for two, including three types of dairy products on an €18 platter. I ask for grilled vegetables without peppers, and they serve me a small plate of vegetables (€6.50) with peppers. The quality is poor, all very dry, and perhaps made a few days earlier.

18/08/2026: It's been a while since I've had the chance to climb to one of my favorite terraces overlooking the city of Verona. Unfortunately, this evening I realized how low one can fall from such a high place. Lazy and inattentive service accompanies a menu with super touristy prices that are out of proportion to the offerings, peppered only with nice words on the QR code menu. Furthermore, the corner bar at the entrance has been eliminated. P.S. A burnt baby sausage for 10 euros is simply not worth the expense of paying 7 for beers...

26/06/2026: We are tourists from Spain and we chose this place to eat and it was a very good choice. We had an excellent experience with Giaccomo; he helped us with everything and was very friendly.

15/05/2026: I had a truly wonderful experience at Pizzeria Metropoli. The welcome was fantastic: the staff were kind, smiling, and attentive; I immediately felt at home. As a Neapolitan, I also really appreciated the uniqueness and diversity of the pizzas offered. My partner had a pizza, which I, of course, also tried 😄, and it was truly excellent, with original and very balanced combinations. One thing that really struck me was the presentation of my salad, served in a pizza crust shell: a unique idea, beautiful to look at, and incredibly delicious! My compliments for the creativity and atmosphere; I'll definitely be back!

11/07/2026: Not even 1 star!!! I booked by looking at the photos on Booking.com, but when I arrived, I was met with a complete lie. To get to the room, I had to climb some external stairs, enter a door with more stairs, then a corridor, and finally the room. The key didn't even turn properly in the lock. The room was cramped, cracked, and the worst part was the mattresses. Two singles tilted outward. Obviously, I spent the night awake. I paid for 3 nights, but I left after the first night. I booked another place. I only now understand why they don't post photos, but it was truly a terrible, sleepless night! I recommend taking honest photos and at least changing the mattresses and the disgusting box spring!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

18/05/2026: Horrible is the first word that comes to mind. I had booked for one night, and thank goodness because it was a horrible experience. When I booked, the photos obviously showed the perfect room, but when we got there, everything was a disaster. The sheets were dirty; we slept with the towels I had brought, not to mention the dirty walls; the mattress was resting on a dirty frame full of dust. We didn't take a shower, let's not even talk about it. A horrible mirror, well, what more can I say? At 6:30 we ran away.

Tucked away from the chaos of St. Mark’s Square, it’s the kind of place where you can sit outside, watch the locals go about their day, and actually feel like you’re in Venice rather than a theme park version of it. The walls are covered in classic movie posters, giving the place a personality that’s as warm as the food. The pizza is the real deal: perfectly blistered crust, fresh toppings, no frills, no fuss. The kind of meal that reminds you why Italian food doesn’t need to be complicated to be great. The risotto is also worth ordering, and don’t sleep on the starter bread. It puts most other restaurants in the city to shame. Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. On a good night, they’ll send you off with a complimentary limoncello, a lovely touch that caps the meal perfectly. Honest food, honest prices, and you will leave full. Dine among Al Pacino and Marilyn Monroe and leave wondering why you didn’t find this place sooner. Skip the tourist traps near St. Mark’s and make the walk to Cannaregio. Your stomach and your wallet will thank you.

17/08/2026: We had pizza and pasta. Both were absolutely delicious. I had homemade pasta from the daily specials. It was very, very good. My partner had the pizza with anchovies. At first, he was disappointed because it was just anchovy paste, but then he was very happy because it was really tasty. Highly recommended!

17/08/2026: This was a great find after walking around for what seemed forever. With 4 kids and 4 adults all ordering something different, I can say we sampled the menu. Great food, great location, and great service.

10/08/2026: While staying at the hotel, we were told that the only available dinner time was 9:00 p.m., and we were then made to wait another 9 minutes before being seated. I find it unacceptable that a hotel of this standard does not reserve tables for its own guests. We then had to wait 45 minutes for our food, with excuses such as saying that we were the last table to order, which was not true, or that other customers had ordered salads. What I found particularly disrespectful was the waiter’s attitude. I was explaining to him that we were clearly not the last table to order, and while I was still speaking, he simply turned his back and walked away, leaving me mid-sentence. This was extremely rude and disrespectful. Overall, a very disappointing experience. After arriving exhausted from hiking all day, we expected a basic level of service and respect from our own hotel. We definitely do not recommend this place.

10/08/2026: We arrived at the hotel at 7:30 pm, hungry and hoping to have dinner early, as we had to get up early the next morning. We were told that dinner was not available until 9:00 pm. At 9:00 pm we went down to the restaurant, where we were made to wait almost 10 minutes at the entrance. We finally placed our order at 9:10 pm. What was particularly surprising was that several tables that arrived after us were served before us. When we complained to the waiter, a large man with a very unprofessional attitude, he responded rudely, saying that we were "the last ones". Instead of trying to solve the problem, he continued to behave in a very unpleasant manner and eventually walked away while we were still talking to him. After several complaints, the first course finally arrived at 9:50 pm, 40 minutes after we ordered. The second course was simply forgotten. At 10:10 pm, after continuing to wait, we had to tell them that we no longer wanted it because we needed to go to bed. The result: we practically ended the evening without dinner and went to bed hungry, despite having arrived at the restaurant at 9:00 pm. In the end, they did not charge us for the dinner, which we appreciate. We would also like to point out that the other employee, the gentleman with the white beard, was polite and tried to handle the situation properly. However, the attitude of the other waiter was completely unacceptable for a 4-star hotel: no apology, no explanation, and he walked away leaving us talking to ourselves. A truly disappointing experience. Never again.

16/07/2026: Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, but my boyfriend and I would have loved to stay much longer. Inspired by the excellent reviews, we also decided to dine there: delicious food and we were completely satisfied! The staff was fantastic, truly kind and friendly. We will definitely be back; it was a short experience, but we were very impressed!

10/08/2026: We happened to be passing by and it was a wonderful discovery! Excellent quality ingredients served with original and well-executed combinations. Their giardiniera is a must-try, as is the gelato. Everything was delicious!! Very friendly owners. Highly recommended!!!

I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to savor authentic Venetian tradition.

11/08/2026: Check the entrance door... When I was there, there were 4 or 5 immigrants who made it difficult for anyone to get in. The pizza is simple and good, the prices are as high as anywhere in central Padua, and the staff is friendly and polite.

11/08/2026: They have a delicious plant-based mozzarella; for me, being vegan, it's truly a dream to be able to eat a proper pizza. Besides the amazing ingredients and dough, I don't even have to give up the Margherita or other unique flavors. It can only get better from here; I hope you'll add more cheeses and plant-based products ❤️

16/08/2026: We were there last night with good expectations but unfortunately we were disappointed with four pasta dishes, the only good one was the one with lobster, the others were spaghetti with clams, pappardelle alla bussara and pappardelle with porcini mushrooms which were beyond comment.
