16/04/2024: We had dinner here last night on the recommendation of our hotel. Very tasty food, everything was prepared with love and fresh ingredients and you can taste it. The hostess is also super nice and attentive. Recommended if you are in Montone.

31/03/2024: A place with a view of the lake where you can enjoy a good lunch. However, the place offers accommodation almost exclusively outdoors and is closed if it rains. Consider this if the weather is not ideal. Service needs to be improved with steel cutlery and plates, plastic water bottles or biodegradable cutlery are not acceptable today. For these last aspects I consider the quality/price ratio inadequate.

09/02/2024: First things first. Wine and drinks list is great. Great food too. Incredible views/location and the decor is ace. We've moved to the area from London and for us, a cool relaxed bar, offering interesting diverse food options and menu quirks like 10 different vermouths is exactly what we would want. Plus, 10 minutes down the road from our new home? Even better. Except…however great everything else is, apparently, they don't want you to be there. We went quite early on a very rainy Friday and I can genuinely say I've never felt so unwelcome anywhere in my life. I've never actually smilingly said good evening to a bar staff member and being actively and deliberately ignored. No one came to greet us at the door, so we sat down and were literally shouted at that the seats were reserved. They were not marked, but apparently were total idiots for not knowing this, and we were waved outside. After half an hour under a thin umbrella in the rain, I had to go into the bar area and ask if they were actually serving customers that night, at which point the waitress growled at me, rolled her eyes, grabbed some menus, stormed over to our table and asked what we wanted, all as if we'd just run over her dog. I genuinely don't get it. It was impossible to get any staffs attention because they were basically huddled under cover from the rain, chain smoking and scowling at you. If you smiled and waved at them, they literally turned their back to you? That said, we did, eventually, get some very reasonably priced and actually really interesting drinks plus a very nice selection of food. I mean, they were practically thrown in our faces, but the actual products were great. Now, it was a while ago, but I'm writing this review as I was driving past it the other night, and my wife and I actually burst out laughing because it was such a unique experience. Even the infamous Wong Kei in London's Chinatown seemed like a welcoming Four Seasons resort by comparison. There are some reviews on here that really big up how great the staff are. So I don't know, maybe it was just an off night? it was just that EVERYONE was actively obnoxious, which seems really odd. My Italian is pretty good, I tried to be polite I think, but they were pretty hostile before I'd even said a word? Still after six months I think I've recovered from the trauma, so we might go back. But really, it would be just to see if it really can have been that plain weird and unpleasant or did we just imagine it? Anyways, it was so remarkable, even if that's the norm, I'd actually recommend you go for the experience. It was so appalling it was like a piece of performance art. If it had just been 'OK' I doubt I'd have remembered anything about La Puntabella at all. As it is, I'll remember it on my death bed.

30/03/2024: An environment that instantly intrigued me, so I decided to have an aperitif. Unfortunately the products used to make cocktails are the classics that you can find everywhere and this greatly lowers the rating. Besides the vermouth martini there is more...

26/01/2024: This restaurant is located in a particular context of a very small medieval village. Santa Maria Tiberina is at the top of an Umbrian hill. From the large windows of the restaurant you can see a beautiful valley. Excellent typical local food. Friendly owner and quick service. Possibility to choose excellent wines. Definitely recommended

22/04/2024: A perfect welcome to Umbria and Spoleto in particular. Fresh pasta with tartufo and pork ravioli are simply perfect. There is no other definition. Outstanding local taste, wine produced by the owner a few kilometers from the place and even local amaro that is produced right here. It's hard to expect tastier than this and more local than this. And thanks to the very kind waiter who we don't know your name...thanks for the lovely welcome to Spoleto

Partiamo dal locale: piccolino ma curato. Pulito ma comodo. Beffardo ma alla moda I due fratelli bovini, ( sarà il loro vero cognome? ah bho,) sono simpatici, alla mano. Ma soprattutto fanno fottutamente onore al loro nome. Sanno cuocere dannatamente bene qualsiasi proteina animale . Antipasto potente. Suggerisco di prenderlo ma dovete mettere in conto che è potente. L'ho già detto che è potente vero? I primi sono buoni certo, ma le vette si raggiungono solo con la carne ( e grazie al c@@@o direte voi, si chiamano bovini) Grande, grandissima menzione d'onore per Margherita, la cameriera arguta sagace e simpatica.
