The menu is very interesting and offers many vegan options. Everything was delicious, and attention was paid to every detail of the presentation. I'll definitely be back!

21/09/2025: Great ambiance with a view of the lake and the twilight. That alone is worth a visit. The food was also very good. The selection wasn't huge, but just right. I highly recommend this place.

13/09/2025: In the heart of Assisi's historic center, at Vicolo della Volta Pinta, at number 3, is an excellent family-run restaurant. It's intimate and elegant, run by delightful people who love their work and invite you to sample fragrant dishes and new, sophisticated flavors, while still embracing Umbrian tradition. We were able to have lunch under the vaulted ceiling, where a lovely breeze caresses you, making our stop pleasant on a scorching day. We chose a caponata strudel with perfectly balanced flavors, truly amazing. We followed it with breaded cod meatballs on a saffron cream, garnished with berries, and lamb with baked potatoes. A quarter white, a quarter red, and coffee. Lunch in front of the Temple of Minerva was a unique experience, even though the restaurant itself offers a very welcoming atmosphere inside. Thank you for providing a moment of well-being.

08/09/2025: An ideal solution for those who don't have much luggage, as it's in the historic center, and there's no parking and the entrance isn't from the street, but from an alley. The strong point, in my opinion, is the breakfast, well-presented and with plenty of variety. Given the limited number of rooms, eggs are cooked to order, and they're very good. A juicer, gluten-free products, and fresh fruit are also available. The downsides are the lack of a refrigerator in the room, and the lack of water, which even B&Bs usually provide in the room. I'd also suggest moving the TV from its current position in the yellow room; it sticks out too far in the tight space (see photo), and you risk bumping into it when moving around. The adjacent restaurant is convenient. Excellent price.

13/10/2025: Quaint restaurant with outdoor seating in Assisi’s side streets. Recommended by our hotel, we received an easy discount. Friendly service, good house wine, nice appetizers and tasty pasta. I wanted to try a local dish, so I ordered their strangozzi al tartufo (truffle pasta) and enjoyed it.

07/09/2025: The restaurant is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and offers a truly picturesque view of the lake. The menu features both land and sea dishes, and a few lake dishes (honestly, I expected a few more). The lake appetizer was good, but lacking in flavor; the grilled trout was excellent, delicate and flavorful, although I expected the whole trout and not just half (though the quantity was sufficient; let's just say the menu deceived me). The ravioli stuffed with pike and pesto alla trapanese was disappointing (for my taste): the ravioli itself was good, but completely overpowered by the overpowering flavor of the pesto. The dessert was good. The wine list was very interesting; I would have liked more information on the wines by the glass; since I was alone, I couldn't afford to buy a bottle. The service was poor, perhaps due to the restaurant being full; the long wait between courses and a bit of confusion with the dishes. Definitely the thing that most detracted from the meal.

01/10/2025: To discuss this logo, we need to separate the restaurant from the agriturismo: the agriturismo is a restored old village; as soon as you arrive, a sense of peace and tranquility pervades your soul... the materials used are not far removed from the originals and are not displaced from the originals. There is also a swimming pool surrounded by hedges and olive trees, very quiet and hidden. The rooms are rustic, spacious, with antique furniture. Ours had a windowless bathroom, but that's understandable, and it had a large courtyard with a breathtaking view. The cleanliness could use some updating, with lots of cobwebs, but after all, we are on a agriturismo; they're part of the landscape! Furthermore, the silence that surrounds the property is conducive to sleep. As for the restaurant, the dishes are typical Umbrian, the platters are plentiful and made with top-quality ingredients, the pastas are all homemade and seasoned with top-quality ingredients. We also enjoyed an aperitif with two spritzes and a platter of cold cuts at a very reasonable price. For lunch, we ordered a platter of cold cuts, bruschetta, and fried foods, two first courses: fettuccine with Fassona ragù and strozzapreti with venison ragù, a liter of house red wine, coffee, and amaro. Breakfast includes a buffet of artisanal sweets, cakes, ring cakes, and biscuits; for a savory breakfast, please ask the staff. We stayed at the property using a Smartbox, and I must say we were treated with kid gloves. Overall, a truly wonderful experience, worth repeating even just for lunch in the open air and surrounded by nature.

30/09/2025: Excellent countryside location. Peace and quiet abound. A small village with a small church and rooms and apartments. However, they require maintenance, as they have been left to decay over time. The restaurant is excellent, with good service and excellent dishes, as well as top-quality meat. Good wine tasting available.

11/10/2025: We visited Ristorante Fratelli Bottiglieri after a somewhat difficult afternoon reservation, given the high demand for tables in the area. Although we were a group of eight, we were immediately and honestly informed that they couldn't guarantee a single table, but rather two tables for four, which we accepted, separating the adults and children. ​We appreciated the formula that combines a standard menu with a selection of off-menu items, with prices communicated verbally by the waiter (This formula, while typical, I would suggest making it more transparent on paper as well). ​We had various choices: venison, an asado, a hamburger, and a carpaccio—for the adults. For the children, a steak with fries and a hamburger and fries sandwich. The dishes were undoubtedly "different and well-served," a testament to the quality of the ingredients and preparation. ​The waiter who looked after us was very friendly and kind, an aspect that contributed positively to the atmosphere. However, the service was a bit hit and miss: the burger and fries for one of the guys arrived late because the order had been "lost" or forgotten. If it hadn't been for this unexpected wait, I would have given it a higher rating. We paired our meal with a bottle of Perticaia, a good wine. The final bill was extremely reasonable: just €17 per person for eight people, a truly exceptional value considering the variety and quality of the meat served. With a little logistical improvement, this place would deserve top marks. I look forward to seeing you next time.

An appetizer of three bruschettas costs €10, and three grilled lamb chops cost €20, too. The service is like a farmhouse, but the prices aren't. Overall, I can give it a passing grade, no more.

03/07/2025: We spent a wonderful week at this magnificent place! We really enjoyed the location, the service, and especially the excellent food! Our dog was also very welcome. It's a great place to explore the towns of Umbria from here, and we're always happy to return for dinner in the evening. The only thing is that the rooms and bathrooms could be a bit larger, but they're beautifully renovated and air-conditioned. Thanks again to everyone for the wonderful week!

29/08/2025: You must go here. The service and the food is outstanding - especially the pizza and pasta! The restaurant is quaint and cute with amazing quality and affordable prices. The staff are kind and anticipate your needs without you asking - even bringing us complimentary limoncello shots for our part of 6! We had an amazing time at this restaurant, our favorite during our stay in Città della Pieve.
