Katia was very nice and very funny. the food is incredible, like eating at an Italian's home. we recommend it and it's definitely one of the reasons why we want to go back to Tavarnelle. what we can recommend is veal with mushrooms and truffles, carbonara, bisteka Fiorentina, tortellini, everythink. 05/07/2026: Fantastic family run restaurant in the middle of lovely San Donato! The owner and his family + service are so welcoming and nice, and the food is superb! Just like a real Italian restaurant should be❤️ We have eaten here 3 times during our trip already and plan to go back several more times!

07/04/2026: Discovered by chance a very welcoming location with a stunning sunset. They offered a few express options, all of which were truly high quality. Very friendly service. They forgot the bread, but they quickly and kindly fixed it. Well done, we'll definitely be back.

19/07/2026: Introduction: We had a smartbox, to which we added about €40 to reserve a table at this restaurant. Despite letting us know, they took a while to verify and tell us we had a budget of €100. The smartbox reservation indicated a full menu. That's okay for us; we wouldn't have been able to eat everything in normal portions, but we expected something different. That said, the outdoor seating is nice, but not incredible. We were out of sight, and since it was hot, there wasn't much air. They were kind enough to bring a fan. The service was average to poor, considering the price of the dishes. There was little explanation and no particular friendliness. We ate well, but the prices are exorbitantly high. Pizza costs at least €15, tartare €25, and tagliata €30/35. We had a battuta the next night in Volterra, which was delicious, for €10 less. I can't explain the high prices, especially considering it's so far away. In fact, they suggested a dirt road to get back to Google. A total disappointment with the dessert. The menu lists two different gelatos with no description. We asked the waitress, and she said they only differed in flavor. We chose the cream one, and we were served five packaged chocolates filled with gelato from a local ice cream shop. Price: €10. No one explained whether they were from a famous local pastry shop/gelato shop or something else. The fact is, they tasted the same as Magnum Bomboniere, so paying €10 for them is absolutely excessive. Finally, in a place that claims to be so refined, serving a packaged dessert is a real shame. For water, two appetizers, one tartare, one sliced ​​steak, and one dessert, we spent €112.

29/06/2026: Very good address in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. The pizzas were fine and excellent (the products had a lot of taste) and the staff were very friendly and professional. Great evening.

25/06/2026: We ate here twice during our vacation, and neither experience was great. The pizza was good enough to entice us back, but we won't be going here again. The staff is friendly to locals but not to tourists, but apart from that, it is simply not well organized. Literally everything takes a long time, from asking if you want another drink to baking your pizza. We sat here for a total of 90 minutes for 2 pizzas and a bottle of sparkling water. How they could improve: Taking better service, asking more often if everything is okay, keeping tables transparently informed about mistakes, and creating more oversight by having a chef or someone managing service. All in all, a bad experience.

01/10/2025: Two of us arrived without a reservation, but luckily there was a table available. The wait was two people, one very friendly, the other less so. The drinks came quickly, and we waited about 30 minutes for the appetizer. The pizza didn't arrive until about 90 minutes after the appetizer, which we really didn't expect, and our hunger grew accordingly. The pizza unfortunately had a bit too much cheese, but overall it was okay. Unfortunately, the wait was far too long, especially since the tables next door got their food much earlier.
