Simple cuisine, unspectacular except for the bill. If you want to eat outside, you have to eat two courses, and the appetizer portions are small. The area is not as rough as people may think, and for those near the port it should be considered an excellent option for dining. After it closes the cavernous interior becomes a dance club.

12/04/2025: Consigliato da un'amica palermitana, anche se un pò caro rispetto agli altri locali che abbiamo provato con mia moglie, ha alternati piatti ben cucinati ad alcune pietanze che non ci hanno convinti. Bella la location all'interno, con dei giardini in cui potersi sedere. Buona la frittura di mare (anche se mancavano i pesci bianchi descritti nel menu), buone le polpettine di tonno al sugo, decisamente bocciata l'insalata di mare (so distinguere tra un polpo calloso e uno ohime quasi immangiabile). Tre tipologie di tagliate di tonno da provare (le quantità però lasciavano a desiderare). Ottima la cassata. Per il vino (non buonissimo), mi sono affidato alla cameriera, chiedendo qualcosa di locale e di etneo. Rassicurato, mi è stato portato un bianco di Marsala. In conclusione è un bel locale e credo che forse siamo stati anche sfortunati in qualche piatto, ma siccome i prezzi sono di prima fascia (giusto magari se si cerca la qualità), allora tanto la cucina quanto il servizio dovrebbero fare un bel balzo in avanti.

11/05/2025: Peccato. Sebbene il cibo è sempre stato ok per prezzo e qualità, oggi solo due pallini. Siamo entrati alle ore 13.10. Dopo un'ora e dieci minuti hanno servito solo delle panelline e un piatto di zuppa di cozze cucinata in velocità. Era acqua di cozze scoppiate sporcata di rosso. Non aveva una consistenza di zuppa. Dopa un altra ora un risotto con gamberi e pistacchio versato in un piatto freddo e caserecce con pesce spada e melanzane con la pasta totalmente cruda. Due pallini proprio per he il cuoco al posto di dare ragione al cliente ha detto che la pasta era cotta bene. M ha dispiace per lui in quanto l'abbiamo provata in tre persone ed era decisamente cruda. Il gestore ha ignorato d accendere l'aria condizionata per oltre due volte dalla richiesta. Insomma, se il prezzo è normale e non di un normale ristorante puoi anche sorvolare a queste cose ma se ti pago per una cucina da ristorante con tanto di servizio pretendo che sia tutto ok. Beh mi dispiace perché si mangiava bene. Il tavolo accanto ci raccontavano la stessa cosa.

Very ugly place, infernal heat, insufficient air conditioning, this is just to start with. We sit down at 8pm, the mixed fried food arrives at 8:30pm, very badly cooked and together with a few bottles of tap water that tastes terrible. Bottled water only 0.5, why? The menu for the evening had already been decided, after the appetizer, pizzas were to be served in the center, various flavors, chosen by the diners, without a limit on quantity, the so-called "pizza tour". You don't see a pizza before 10:30 pm, two hours after the appetizer, during which we repeatedly urged the staff, almost begged them to bring us some pizza to start eating and satisfy our hunger, putting up with sarcastic and irritated responses from very rude waiters. Zero respect or care for the customer. The pizza was nothing special, badly cooked, the edges inedible, always burnt. Do you want some advice? Go elsewhere, Palermo is full of places where you eat well, managed by people who care about the customer and who respect him.

Non mi sono mai trovato così male da nessun posto come da Torquemada, per cui la mia esperienza va raccontata. Serata da dimenticare. Locale molto brutto, caldo infernale, climatizzazione insufficiente, questo solo per cominciare. Ci accomodiamo alle 20, il fritto misto arriva alle 20.30, cotto molto male ed insieme a qualche bottiglia di acqua di rubinetto dal sapore terribile. L’acqua in bottiglia solo da 0,5, perché? Il menù della serata era già stato stabilito, dopo l’antipasto dovevano essere servite delle pizze al centro, vari gusti, scelti dai commensali, senza un limite di quantità, il cosiddetto “giro pizza”. Non si vede una pizza prima delle 22.30, dopo due ore dall’antipasto, durante le quali abbiamo sollecitato più volte lo staff, quasi pregato di portarci qualche pizza per iniziare a mangiare e placare la fame, sorbendoci risposte sarcastiche e stizzite da camerieri molto scortesi. Zero rispetto o cura del cliente. La pizza non era niente di che, cotta male, i bordi non commestibili, sempre bruciati. Volete un consiglio? Andate altrove, Palermo è piena di posti dove si mangia bene, gestiti da persone che hanno a cuore il cliente e che lo rispettano.
