14/04/2026: On the recommendation of the B&B where we were staying, we booked a 5:00 PM dinner for two, one of whom was celiac. Despite the short notice, they were able to serve us excellent dishes, including gluten-free options, minimizing the difference between the dishes. The portions might be considered small, but given the complexity of the preparations and flavors, they're considered adequate. Everything was more than excellent, including the recommended wine.

The spaghetti is excellent, intense and balanced, as is the dessert, delicate and never cloying, an elegant conclusion to the meal. The presentation is also meticulously crafted, simple and refined. The service is attentive, discreet, and always punctual, while the wine list intelligently complements each course. A restaurant that combines technique, flavor, and identity, leaving a lasting and pleasant memory. Recommended for those seeking refined yet authentic cuisine.

13/04/2026: I was here in this magnificent restaurant, very welcoming and well-kept environment, I ate really well, I started with a mixed rustic appetizer and we integrated the appetizers that were not included in the dish. The melted Tuma cheese rated 10. Winter dishes were carefully prepared and well served. The staff very professional and friendly. They recommended a really excellent wine, a Syrah Case Alte di Macelarotto, I recommend it. We had two first courses, spaghetti carbonara with bacon and truffle shavings and a first course of pappardelle with asparagus, speck and cream cheese. We moved on to dessert with a fig and chocolate tart and a chocolate and pear tart, unfortunately I did not find the taste I was hoping for. I will be back to try many of your other dishes because it was a positive experience. Fresh products and a variety of choices on the menu. Excellent value for money. Recommended.

28/04/2026: The goulash was excellent, although a bit too spicy. The pizza was decent. The dishes from the cantinaccia were good. The only complaint... the excessive and very strong smell of truffle in the room.

14/12/2025: Recommended! A small, family-run place, we ate really well and then finished with a treat: delicious homemade liqueurs 🤩 one licorice and the other bitter.

26/04/2026: We chose to dine here during an overnight stay in the area, and it couldn't have been a better choice. It's a small, very well-kept restaurant, with extremely helpful staff, including the waitress who was very friendly and engaging. The selection of local wines is truly interesting, with the owner guiding you through the selection based on your dishes. We tried the appetizers, first courses, and second courses, all truly excellent, made with local ingredients. Fair prices.

17/05/2026: After my first not so good meal in Italy in 3 weeks last night, I spotted Trattoria da Nuccio on a small side street off the busy area in Catania historic centre. So glad I did. It was perfect, exactly what I wanted, a simple delicious lunch at reasonable cost, with great service. I had the Cotto a Sote de Pesce (cooked fish stew) with a side of grilled red peppers, and bread for dipping. Fantastic.

17/05/2026: I want to enjoy my food 100% – unfortunately, that wasn't the case there. My appetizer – raw shrimp – tasted of nothing but smelled rather strange. The pasta was supposed to be with garlic and chili, but it had hardly any flavor and no spice at all; the sauce was watery. I haven't eaten this badly in two months in Sicily. And the cover charge was a joke – just dry bread, no oil or butter, no seasoning whatsoever: €5 per person!!

03/06/2026: Found on the recommendation of the person who rented us a house in the village. Plenty of space, good pizza, fresh, well-cooked fish. Average prices.

09/04/2026: Nice restaurant with tasty dishes at very reasonable prices and friendly & efficient service. We stopped by here for 4 days during our week-long trip to eat and were always very satisfied. It goes without saying that we highly recommend this place.

03/06/2026: We had a delicious meal here yesterday. We were looking for pasta alla Norma, as is our custom, and stumbled upon this place. Pippo gave us a very warm welcome. We enjoyed our food and drinks, and the pasta was absolutely incredible. The eggplant on top was soooooo tasty, and everything else was just as good. The atmosphere was lovely and so typically Italian. Pippo was also very friendly and gave us a warm send-off. Thank you for the wonderful experience! 🌞

31/05/2026: We were greeted attentively, seated at a long table for 15 without a wait, despite it being a Friday night. We ate well, especially the excellent pinza and excellent meat dishes. The desserts were less impressive. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet informal. Also recommended for large groups.

13/05/2026: Very austere on the outside. Just on the day I wanted to visit the richly decorated interiors, a tour was not possible because the Japanese had rented the palace for a wedding. Is money more important after all? I was only in the hall very briefly and managed to take photos of the balcony at the rear with a view of the cathedral. A pity...

26/04/2026: The food was delicious. We had Margherita pizza, and it was one of the best we've ever had. The restaurant didn't look particularly appealing from the outside, but the interior was much nicer. The staff was friendly and attentive.

06/05/2026: Recommended by my cousin, I went for dinner with the kids. A very quaint place. Excellent meat and pizza, good service, generous portions, and fair prices. We spent time chatting with the owner (I think), who was very kind and helpful. I went two nights in a row (why change if you're happy with it) and in the end, the real question is: would I go back? Absolutely.

27/04/2026: We were welcomed even though the place was very full with great courtesy, we ordered some bruschetta that was nothing short of exquisite and not to mention the pizza, truly excellent in everything from the dough to the toppings. Characteristic Sicilian-style atmosphere, I was truly satisfied, I will return again.
