23/11/2025: Very friendly service. We enjoyed delicious bruschetta and Aperol Spritz in the sunshine. Highly recommended. The €3 cover charge per person still surprised us, though.

22/11/2025: We were there in November, so there were few tourists. We ate well, and the wine list was good. The fish was fresh. The staff was friendly. It's very central. I should point out that in the price I'm charging 40-50 euros because we had a 35-euro bottle of wine. So do your math.

21/09/2025: It's shameful that you charge for a Margherita pizza and a Sicilian pizza and a large beer. You charge me 40 euros and you should be ashamed. Without a coffee, without a bitter, without a drink, you were personally rude to me. I asked how much a Margherita, a Sicilian pizza and a beer would cost me. He replied to me, Mr. Filippo. What can I do? You should really be ashamed. The pizza was awful, it looked like marble, you couldn't cut it and it was very poor. 10/07/2025: Questo locale si conferma su livelli di ottima qualità! Decisamente buone le granite, ottima la rosticceria! Personale molto cortese e rapido! Il tutto contornato dalla posizione sul lungo mare scogliera della città! Decisamente un posto ideale, per incontrarsi con amici e trascorrere un po' di tempo insieme, gustando roba di qualità.

04/06/2025: Eravamo un gruppo molto numeroso e abbiamo ordinato l'opzione giropizza. Le pizze non avevano un bell'aspetto, l'impasto era duro e colloso, molto pesante. Antipasti fritti tutti surgelati, ovviamente. Molti di noi sono stati male, probabilmente per gli ingredienti scadenti o perché qualcosa era andato a male. Pessima esperienza, vergognosi.

17/05/2025: Vale la pena andare in questo locale specialmente per la pizza con il bordo ripieno, ottimo impasto e ben digeribile. I gusti sono un po' particolari, ma ci sono anche le pizze tradizionali. La location è carina ma il locale si trova un po' fuori dal centro. Prezzo giusto e servizio cordiale

16/09/2025: This venue is a true gem, with an enchanting atmosphere and a very elegant room overlooking the pool. I recommend it to anyone who, like us, has chosen to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday in a setting of extreme elegance and refinement.

15/09/2025: I do not recommend it to anyone. I have been to this estate for a ceremony. The food was terrible, the cleanliness was below zero, the windows were dusty, the floor had at least 5 centimeters of dust, the bathrooms were never cleaned, the waiters were zero. A truly pitiful location. For anyone who wants to organize an event, I do not recommend it at all.

25/09/2025: Came here in september - lovely location with beautiful views but was not reflected in the experience. The staff were inattentive and quite rude , not welcoming at all - it was our first time going and nothing was pointed out we had no idea how anything even worked , left after an hour - was a waste of money in our eyes

29/04/2025: Camminando per le vie del centro di Catania, siamo stati attirati dalla location intima e tranquilla di questo locale situato in uno scorcio pittoresco a due passi dal Duomo. Pranzo a base di pesce tipico catanese con materia prima di qualità e porzioni generose. Nota di apprezzamento per lo staff, cordiale, disponibile, allegro e scherzoso senza però risultare invadente. Decisamente consigliato!

27/04/2025: Auf Empfehlung unseres einheimischen Vermieters, Santo, einem sehr netten Herrn, gingen wir in das Giglio Rosso. Es sieht von außen unscheinbar aus und der Chef ist ein selbstbewusster jedoch auch herzlicher Sizilianer. Wir ließen uns dann inspirieren von der Karte und seinen Empfehlungen und bestellten für uns 5 diverse Vorspeisen, Primi Piatti, Secondi Piatti und Nachtische. Und wirklich alles, was auf unseren Tisch kam, war ein ganz außerordentlicher Genuss. Sardellen, Schwertfisch, Garnelen, Tintenfisch, Rinderfilet, Pasta und Dolce. Zum Abschluss ein hausgemachter Marsalla. Alles vorzüglich um nicht sogar zu sagen einzigartig. Bei diesem Essen beschlossen wir, dass es eine weitere Reise wert ist wiederzukommen. In der Nacht entfaltete die enge, dunkle und für Catania sehr typische Straße einen ganz besonderen Charme, wie man ihn nur hier erleben kann. Ein schönes Erlebnis, das wir gerne in unserer Erinnerung behalten. So geht Urlaub ☀️😄 Top-Empfehlung 👍

09/09/2025: A very nice atmosphere 👍🏻 and the service very attentive and friendly. The food is truly excellent. We've had fish, meat, and pizza here over the past few days. The fish is fresh and they don't skimp on the pizzas. The base is baked in a stone oven, and everything is well-topped. Everything is also very, very tasty and seasoned. There's a huge selection of desserts at the counter, including ice cream, cakes, etc. We would eat here again anytime!

18/11/2025: the most expensive coffee i’ve ever had in Italy, for 2 espresso with milk we paid 10 euros! Ridiculous. it wasn’t even beautiful, place is very rusty and we didn’t feel welcome.

16/09/2025: Really good bakery and coffe shop, just near the Theather. Nice atmosphere and service, real Italian family bussines.

21/09/2025: Touristy. The only draw is that you don't pay for the Duomo parking fee with your bill. The wait is incredibly long, although with a few improvements, the food isn't bad.

27/09/2025: We're having dinner at the restaurant. The menu says spaghetti carbonara. Okay, I'll order it. I ask several times if they make it a little bigger, and the waitress says okay. The plate arrives, along with a small baking dish, while I complain that the carbonara arrives cold. I'll let you imagine. Then, when I get home, I see the receipt. I see it written down. €26.00. I phone. At the restaurant. They tell me their policy is so big and it means two portions, and I'm in the business. I'm ashamed that I belong to this category. Restaurants used to exist today. No longer just a pursuit of the god of money.

19/10/2025: Starting from the assumption that this hotel was recommended to us, and unfortunately, we trusted them by booking without actually seeing anything, but... in hindsight, we made a terrible mistake. Zero welcome. I can wait 20 minutes for the owner to check me in when it's a B&B, not a hotel!!! The room... absolutely no comment. Aside from the style, which is unfortunately subjective and, as far as I'm concerned, taste is zero, stuck in the '80s... the room smelled, as soon as I opened the door, of mold, stuffiness, and sewerage, it was unbelievable... the windows had filthy curtains, one of which was broken and had to be pulled inside the window to keep it in place. As soon as we went to bed, I had to have the pillowcases changed because they were wrinkled, as if someone had leaned on them... the shower was quite suffocating because it was completely closed, but that's subjective too, the showerhead hook broke without any warning, so the showerhead decided to commit suicide on my toe, coming out red and swollen!!! Breakfast, another thing, no comment... very low quality... and, except for the coffee, only food. Juice, milk, squeezed juice... nothing, nothing!!!! You could have choked on not even a drop of water. No cutlery, just plates, so everyone practically grabs it with their hands. Then they serve cereal without milk, so as far as I'm concerned I could have thrown it in my face. Highly not recommended, absolutely not, I'll never stay here again. P.S. The only decent thing is the parking... too bad a few cockroaches showed up before we left, so no pest control!!!!

15/09/2025: Very important points to highlight are: - No welcome at reception; a young man greeted us while he was cleaning, left the keys in our hands, and the staff didn't explain to us how room cleaning works, nor other typical things. We found no staff at all day and night, and the restaurant in the hotel was always closed. - The hotel amenities description listed bike rental and a bus stop in front. There were neither bikes nor public transportation. They had to borrow bicycles from acquaintances to give them to us (I also paid for this in the package). When we arrived, they hadn't organized this, as it had already been agreed with the travel agency. I recommend updating the description. - What was absurd was that in order to have our towels changed, we had to put them on the floor, otherwise they wouldn't change them for us (which is what happened).
