Osteria Nero D'avola In Taormina

disappointing experience.. I had prawns and caponata, both were average at best .. it was the last day of the holiday in Sicily so I had plenty of places to compare it with. Also, I was very surprised with the American blues and country music playing there:( it really does not feel like Italy then!

fresh sea food and great local after dinner wine. friendly staff.

Great atmosphere and service. We sat outside which was lovely. Starters were excellent. Tuna tartare was a highlight. We both chose meat dishes for mains which in truth were a little tough and a slight disappointment. But a lovely bottle of red wine, well recommended, was a great accompaniment. So four stars, but in truth a bit mixed.

Excellent food, beautiful quiet location just off the busy high street, and excellent service from very friendly staff.

Good service, very mediocre food.

We visited this restaurant on 3rd September 2023 following recommendations from guide books. The restaurant is located near the Duomo near the upscale Four Seasons White Lotus hotel. The place was quite quiet it could be due to its location. We were given a nice table on the terrace. The service from start to finish was great. The menu was large and there were many choices. All the food we ate was delicious and very large portions. One dish each and one to share is enough for two people. Highly recommend this place! Great food and general experience. The tuna was so fresh and rich, and the raw red prawns was also amazing. One of the best tiramisu we've tried in sicily - for those who like it with extra coffee and a pinch of chocolate 🙏 It took a little too long for the food to arrive, though. Siamo capitati per caso in questo posto durante un giro a Taormina. Il ristorante si trova leggermente fuori dalle vie del centro quindi garantisce una cena tranquilla sul loro terrazzo. Noi abbiamo mangiato un secondo di carne, il tonno alla cipudda (buonissimo) e un contorno a testa, due bicchieri di vino acqua e un ottimo amaro. Come tutti i ristoranti di Taormina non è propriamente a "buon prezzo" ma la qualità paga sempre! Soddisfatti!

Bontà e genuinità.. Tutto sommato, un posto che consiglio.

Very cosy restaurant with local flavor. Nice food - and we’ll located a bit off the main busy street. Sicilian specialities and good antipasti.
