16/07/2025: I was pleasantly surprised by my first taste of Peruvian cuisine in Rome. The flavors were intense, though I found them a bit heavy for my standards. Excellent service, with absolutely reasonable prices.

Todo el personal que trabaja en este restaurante encantadores desde el primero hasta el último. Giuseppe siempre pendiente de todo y de que cada detalle y cada persona esté atendida correctamente en todo momento. Si regresamos a Catania no duremos en volver a visitarlos. 03/09/2025: I've been there several times and always had a good meal, but the last time was a disappointment. The peppered mussels tasted only of vinegar, and the scampi were bitter, with dark meat. The seafood risotto was completely unrelated to the seasoning, and the calamari and octopus were incredibly tough and impossible to chew. We still paid for everything (and quite handsomely, I might add).

31/08/2025: Overrated. Unfortunately, I had other expectations. We made the mistake of trusting the waiter with the choice of raw fish, which he didn't leave with a good taste. The scampi were good, but we hadn't asked for them, and if we'd known they were €80 a kilo, we certainly wouldn't have ordered them. Other items were frozen, and that's also written on the menu. The two sea urchin first courses were good, and all in all, it could have been a sufficient lunch... but not for the price we ultimately paid and the zero service we received. I'm truly sorry, as a Catanian... because in Catania, it's easy to have unpleasant surprises in restaurants these days. It's increasingly true that the best fish is eaten at home.

05/09/2025: Best food in Sicily!! We discovered La Rotonda by chance while passing through and were blown away! Fantastic tomahawk steak with fried potato sticks and porcini mushrooms! Everything cooked in olive oil, not unhealthy, rancid seed oil! Super-fresh fruit! Large gluten-free selection! Homemade GF bread and GF pizza!! GF tiramisu! GF paradise! Simply... YUMMY!!

11/08/2025: Pizzeria surrounded by greenery. Good typical Sicilian pizza. Service was generally good, although we asked for cantaloupe melon and he didn't even know what it was. It tasted like a liqueur. 😅 But he was a kid, so we'll forgive him. There's also a children's play area with a slide, a swing, a pendulum, and a little plastic house. Not bad!

01/09/2025: A lovely little restaurant with a wide selection and delicious food. The only downside was that pizzas were only available on Saturdays and Sundays. We didn't expect that from a pizzeria. Otherwise, the other dishes were very tasty!

28/08/2025: We had a wonderful lunch as soon as we arrived in Stromboli at Trattoria ai Gechi! The food was really good (we tried a couple of appetizers and the fresh pasta) and the view was spectacular. The service was pleasant, efficient, and above all welcoming. We really enjoyed it!

26/08/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Authentic and unforgettable experience! Trattoria Ai Gechi is simply fantastic. The atmosphere is unique, with friendly geckos keeping you company. Nino, the owner, and his team are very kind and helpful, making you feel at home. The food is excellent: generous seafood appetizers, flavorful pasta alla Stromboliana, and fresh fish grilled to perfection. Everything is authentic and flavorful, using traditional Sicilian recipes. The fish, in particular, is very good; it's personally selected by Nino (a fisherman and sea dog 😉). The price is more than fair for the quality. Reservations are mandatory!
