15/05/2025: He estado en Sicilia por más de 2 semanas y he tenido una serie de grandes experiencias gastronómicas. Pero mi cena aquí fue la mejor hasta ahora! Está fuera de la ruta turística normal, por lo que ofrece un ambiente más relajado. El servicio y la comida eran fantásticos. Todo lo que teníamos era fresco y sabía muy bien, incluyendo la pasta y almejas y pescado di giorno. El propietario nos ayudó con la selección de vinos y fue un placer hablar con él. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante.

25/04/2025: Siamo stati questa sera con una coppia di amici su consiglio del nostro agriturismo. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti dalla qualità del menu e delle proposte alternative in base al pescato del giorno. Ottimo servizio del personale di sala e del proprietario. Carta dei vini accurata con prezzi ragionevoli. Location carina in una zona fuori dalla bolgia. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Lo segnaliamo con piacere.

11/05/2025: I went on Saturday evening. The place was very crowded and I had to wait a long time before being served. I was almost forgotten. I had to ask for the bread that is normally brought and the starter arrived before the bottle of wine I ordered. Good octopus salad, not perfect frying. A tip: don't panic when the restaurant is full. Maintain professionalism

19/04/2025: We were recommended Macalle by our hotel concierge for a Thursday night dinner. The place was empty at 8p which should have been a sign to back out but we figured we’d give it a shot. The second red flag came when we saw the price tag however we assumed the quality of food and experience would match. Sorry to say we were utterly disappointed. The portions were most alarming. Ortigia was our last stop in our Sicily vacation so we’ve had dozens of wonderful Sicilian meals up to that point and much to compare it to. The dishes were so scant that we could not even offer to share a bite. Some dishes were overly salted while others bland and unimaginative. It was not the meal we wanted to end our trip on but hoping this review will spare others the underwhelming experience.

08/06/2025: Il ristorante è ubicato ai piedi della scalinata di Caltagirone, patrimonio dell'UNESCO. È ubicato all'interno dello storico palazzo Reburdone. Ho avuto modo di apprezzare le prelibatezze culinarie in occasione di un evento familiare. L'estro dello chef e la bontà del cibo, nonché la professionalità del personale mi hanno fatto vivere bene ogni momento. Pesce freschissimo e servizio impeccabile. Consiglio a quanti lo desiderano di fare esperienza del ricco menù che lo chef propone.

29/05/2025: Eccellente ristorante ai piedi della monumentale Scalinata di Caltagirone. Il locale si presenta dall'atmosfera elegante ed armonioso , servizi al top, presentazione dei piatti con stile ed armonia. Servizio al tavolo eccellente, cordialità e disponibilità del personale. Il pesce freschissimo, sia nei crudi che nei cotti. La pasta fresca, una chicca di gusti e sapori di ogni singolo ingrediente.

16/05/2025: We ended up here by chance on Liberation Day (and without a reservation) hungry and looking for a good lunch... even though it was almost a feat to find a free table, with a good and very effective dose of improvisation we were welcomed and treated very well!! Then, the fresh fish was noticeable on the palate ;-) excellent! Well done Rino and staff!!

25/05/2025: Guys, I'm sorry to have to give you a bad review because the meat was good anyway, only that we had requested (as it also appears on the receipt) certain condiments that were not included in the piadinas, in fact we received two identical piadinas that were really difficult to eat. In my opinion, you should also dedicate a little more time to those who order through home deliveries because we are always customers who buy from you... I doubt that the delivery driver intervened because everything was sealed as it should have been. I hope for the next time I come/order to give you a better review.

24/05/2025: We ordered Kebab Maxi, including a series of condiments that the shop makes available. When they arrived, the piadinas were devoid of everything we had asked to include, devoid of any vegetables and selected sauce, truly horrible piadinas to eat. Furthermore, I cannot eat fried food and inside I was given some unwanted chips, VERY SERIOUS because if there had been a person allergic to some ingredient, they could have felt ill due to the carelessness in preparing the piadinas.

03/06/2025: I had already been there for lunch in the past, at the time we had taken a meat-based menu and it was excellent, intrigued, yesterday we wanted to try the fish menu, I must say that we were pleasantly surprised, everything was delicious, very fresh fish, the selection of appetizers was fabulous, the service was impeccable, highly recommended
