31/12/2024: Lovely restaurant near the Castellana Grotto. We went for lunch before our grotto tour and the food was excellent! Would absolutely recommend.

28/12/2024: Pleasant discovery in Castellana for a lunch with friends. Very nice, well-kept place where you feel at home. Attentive, friendly and genuine service. Very interesting menu, different from usual, the starter a real surprise. I will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu. Very honest account!

17/11/2024: One of the best dining experiences of my life! First of all, the courtesy of the staff needs to be specified, both in the way they behave and in making us feel "at home". The food EXQUISITE!!! Starting from the appetizer, grandma's fabulous meatballs... moving on to the first courses with a sauce that tasted like "grandma from the South" and the BREAD!!! An artisanal bread that allows you to make a slipper that leaves your plate clean!!!! So much so that we don't have photos of any dishes because of how good they were. If we ever return to the area, we will definitely return!!!!

12/10/2024: Il Punto Cardinale è una chicca, ambiente dall'arredo ricercato, rilassante, i piatti sono gustosi, i servizi igienici sono intonsi. È uno di quei posti da frequentare quando non si ha fretta, il numero dei tavoli è limitato, le pietanze vengono preparate al momento, come richiede l'accademia della buona cucina. Il rapporto qualità /prezzo è molto buono. Il gradimento ottenuto dal locale è tale che abbiamo dovuto attendere 3 giorni per ottenere un tavolo da due persone! Complimenti ai gestori e al cuoco!

The starters varied from mouthwatering to plain, the pizza was very tasty. The dining options include a drink; I asked for water and got a 1L bottle (included in the price!).

03/01/2025: Ambiente familiar, pratos com sabor de comida caseira. Muito bom, recomendo as pizza e o orecchiette. Quanto ao ambiente, é pequeno e simples, mas o atendimento foi excelente :D

Restaurant located in the historic center of Polignano a Mare, very easy to get to, run by the third generation of the family that owns it and founded in 1926. We were served by the waiter Domenico (belonging to the family), who treated us in a friendly manner. and helpful. We ate as a starter or first course: “Strozzapreti alle Vongole” and “Cavatelli ai Frutti di Mare” and then as a second course we served a “Frittura Mista di Pesche”, all accompanied by a house white wine. Highly recommended and if we ever return to Polignano a Mare we will surely eat there. Congratulations to the entire team that makes it up.

We immediately fell in love with the structure, the greenery that surrounds it, the single refined room, which easily adapts to the number of guests because if there are more guests with an opening door the room can be enlarged. Location suitable for those who love farms, but the guests are too many to not be able to enter. Furthermore, this is the right combination of refinement, elegance, a pinch of modernity and that ancient soul that reflects an estate from 1778. There is also the garden room which is more modern and overlooks the wonderful garden. Then there is the enchanting typical Apulian trullo, worth visiting. Exquisite food, lunch chosen basic and not too abundant. We were delighted by what we ate and we managed to eat everything, even though we were the newlyweds, because we had sweet Mimi, a sweet girl who was always at our side for every need and gave us the opportunity to get away from our relatives in order to eat and spread out the times better, without rushing, but it gave us confidence in what we had to do. The director Paolo, after a lot of fighting, listened better to our needs and indulged us, we also chose to have a super successful after-party without a cocktail corner, but only with beer and panzerotti, highly appreciated by everyone. Milena, the flower designer of the room, immediately accepted our requests for compositions to be placed in the room, even though the church photographer was someone else, all while remaining within the set budget. The guests complimented us on everything: location, high quality food, entertainment, organisation. The owner was present until the cake cutting and was very kind and very refined too. We did the cake cutting on the hill, an enchanting place without the vulcsnetti, but only with the. Bright bow the moment was lovely. So without spending too much, with a basic lunch, but with excellent organization and quality, with Villa Ciccorosella you can have a royal wedding.
