04/12/2025: Despite being very renowned, I didn't find any great excellence. On the contrary... a very seasoned risotto... too much I would say... the aperitif was interesting, the bread was excellent. The panettone with zabaglione was nothing special... neither the zabaglione nor the panettone, no attention was paid to vegetarians even though the restaurant had been notified in advance... total disappointment.
23/11/2025: A charming, intimate place, with a fireplace making everything very warm.
I had an aperitif at 6 pm.
The service was courteous and attentive.
The wine selection was extensive, and the cheese selections were well-chosen. I don't eat cured meats, so I can't comment.
Being able to order dishes from the restaurant menu is a big plus. It ended an evening in a much more intimate setting than a restaurant.

03/11/2025: A truly excellent pizzeria restaurant, with generously topped pizzas and a good, easy-to-digest dough. We went with a large group a few weeks ago and everyone had a great time. The service was very fast, despite the place being packed; we waited just over ten minutes for our orders.
They're a bit limited on space in their private dining room, but that's just a small detail that didn't detract from a lovely evening. The pizza is worth trying, well done.

The service is practically nonexistent, with little attention to detail. A disappointing experience.

18/09/2025: Yes. They serve good Italian food and a recommendable house wine. And the desserts are homemade. Very tasty. And all in all, reasonably priced. It's our go-to pizzeria when we vacation at Lake Maggiore. And we do it every year.

Impeccable service (Asia served us, a cheerful, precise, and very nice girl!) and tonight we tried their "outside Milan" saffron risotto with French-style ossobuco!!! Fun!! I've been looking for it for a while... I finally found it! Delicious!
Congratulations to Chef Nicolas! For his skill and initiative! Keep up the good work!
P.S. The playlist for the evening was also excellent.

11/11/2025: We chose Il Grotto Bagat for our wedding lunch and couldn't have asked for anything better. The food was excellent, with generous portions and attention to every detail. The service was impeccable: the staff were always present, attentive, and professional, without ever being intrusive.
The elegant atmosphere made the day even more special. They accommodated our every request, from the menu to the room decor, from the cake to the wines, demonstrating great availability and extraordinary care.
Everything was simply perfect. We recommend Il Grotto Bagat to anyone looking for a unique experience, characterized by quality, attention, and authentic hospitality.

16/11/2025: Unique atmosphere (both in summer with the beautiful outdoor terrace and in autumn and winter with the warm and welcoming dining rooms). The wait staff is always friendly and helpful. The risottos are amazing in every version (Barolo and fondue, porcini mushrooms, speck and rosemary...) and the meats (especially the ossobuco) are delicious. We've been coming here for years and it's always a pleasure!
Prices: below average for the quality offered... BRAVISVERI!
15/11/2025: The risottos aren't very good... the staff is friendly but what makes it unsatisfactory is the high noise level, too many tables in the same room!

09/11/2025: A very nice, traditional restaurant. Excellent food! The lasagna was very good. However, the wait was very long—2.5 hours—for a main course and a dessert that had already been prepared (ice cream/tiramisu). A shame, but I still recommend it because it was very good.
14/10/2025: The penne and pizza were delicious. There was only one bathroom, but it was clean. It tasted like tomato sauce made with mashed tomatoes. Don't expect the same from store-bought tomato sauce in Korea. It was delicious for me, but I think Koreans might have different tastes.

We visited this pizzeria in early November. The pizza dough is unique in flavor and leavening. The ingredients are top-quality. Even the homemade spelt tagliatelle are superb!!
I think it's the best in the area. The beers and desserts are exceptional!!!

14/11/2025: I went for lunch over the weekend with eight friends, including a baby girl and a 7-month-old.
Arrived at 1:00 PM, left at 4:50 PM, with a wait of about an hour for appetizers, first courses, and second courses.
The food tasted good, no complaints, but this kind of management simply cannot be tolerated.
We didn't spend a small amount, either, but regardless, I don't even apologize for the inconvenience. We later realized they also charged a cover charge for our 7-month-old baby.
I recommend other places.

I enjoyed the "Rustic pappardelle with venison ragù, pine nuts, and pecorino cheese," and a special mention for the lemon sorbet. I drank a draft lager (total €32), and the coffee was good.

12/11/2025: Excellent first courses, even for celiacs. Their homemade white pizza for celiacs was truly top-notch, but it didn't seem gluten-free. The staff were very kind and courteous, and the service was fast and accurate.
We also stayed here overnight and had a wonderful time. Highly recommended. If we're ever in Saronno again, it'll be a must-try!

24/10/2025: Good service with very friendly staff. We sat in a small room at the back, but it wasn't exactly quiet, as the place was very quiet. It's also true that there weren't many people.
I can't comment on the food because I had a very simple marinara pizza. While it certainly wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, it was a pleasant experience, and the quality of the ingredients was there.
The prices were fair...we still had a lakeside view.
