The restaurant's strong point is its location, with its large park. The interior is also very well-maintained and elegant. As for the menu, we ate well, although we would have liked slightly larger portions. The cod-stuffed buttons were only four, while the octopus, costing almost €30, consisted of a single tentacle... The chef's risotto and the buckwheat pappardelle with suckling pig ragù are highly recommended.

We'd been passing Da Annetta restaurant for years, promising ourselves we'd stop in someday. We finally did, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was high-quality, well-prepared, and the service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, and of a high standard. A pleasant discovery that definitely deserves a second visit.

Ristorante da Annetta is a famous place in Varese and its province, and is even listed in the Michelin Guide, so when you come here you expect a certain standard of cuisine, service, and ambiance. Well, there's nothing to complain about the food; it wowed us with every bite. There were three of us, and we ordered three first courses, three second courses, and three desserts. The plin pasta was truly tasty, with a flavorful, almost sweet base, but we really enjoyed it. The chestnut tagliatelle with mallard ragù was exquisite. The veal wing, suckling pig, and tartare—three dishes, each better than the last. So, in short, there's nothing to complain about. The chef(s) know their stuff, and it gets top marks. Let's talk about the ambiance. A classy historic building, with beautiful chandeliers, an elegant entrance from the garden/parking lot, and equally elegant tables. Nothing to complain about here either. Now, the service. I read a lot of reviews on various sites before arriving, and I was quite hopeful that I could prove what I'd found online to be true. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. It's the end of the year, and everyone's tired, but you can't greet customers by rolling your eyes without even faking a smile. You could really feel the lack of desire to work. When we arrived at the table and ordered, they brought us the wine list. We ordered, and they brought us a wine we hadn't ordered. One of my guests was very quick to say, "That's not what we ordered." The waitress immediately replied, "Oh, we don't have that anymore." Usually, you inform the customer first and then you can offer another wine (which also costs €20 more, but she didn't tell us). We also noticed that at the tables around us there were only Germans, and unfortunately they struggled to communicate because only Italian and little English were spoken. "Service" also includes dirty wine glasses, a chipped plate (all things that can happen but shouldn't), a bread knife that wasn't a bread knife... small things, but in a restaurant of this caliber, they make a difference. There's a lot of room for improvement. I've also read about people complaining about the prices, but I (we) found the prices to be fair and in line with the type of cuisine. Of course, when you compare them to the type of service, they're a bit out of place. But we hope to return and find improvements. Regardless, I recommend it because we ate well, but be patient.

Great food, very kind personal. And exceptionally good wines next to grrat cheese variation. Worth for a visit , maybe more 😉

A restaurant with a warm and elegant atmosphere, perfect for a special dinner or an important occasion. The ambiance is meticulously designed and invites you to relax and enjoy the experience. The cuisine is undoubtedly the highlight: top-quality ingredients, treated with respect and skill. Each dish is well thought out, balanced, and expertly prepared. However, considering the quality of the restaurant and the bill (about €100 per person), I would have expected more attentive and professional service. On both occasions when we were served wine, the waiter stained the tablecloth: a detail that, in a setting like this, is out of place and should be avoided. That said, the experience remains positive thanks to the quality of the cuisine and the atmosphere. With a greater focus on service, it would be truly impeccable.

Despite being very renowned, I didn't find any great excellence. On the contrary... a very seasoned risotto... too much I would say... the aperitif was interesting, the bread was excellent. The panettone with zabaglione was nothing special... neither the zabaglione nor the panettone, no attention was paid to vegetarians even though the restaurant had been notified in advance... total disappointment.

A charming, intimate place, with a fireplace making everything very warm. I had an aperitif at 6 pm. The service was courteous and attentive. The wine selection was extensive, and the cheese selections were well-chosen. I don't eat cured meats, so I can't comment. Being able to order dishes from the restaurant menu is a big plus. It ended an evening in a much more intimate setting than a restaurant. Congratulations

Fantastic atmosphere, with the option of enjoying an aperitif in their cellar in small groups of up to 10 people. Extensive wine selection, including high-quality bottles. The dishes we tasted were perfect. Consideration is given to dietary preferences, intolerances, and tastes. High prices, especially when the wine selection is taken into account. Recommended for those who appreciate a refined yet discreet atmosphere, superior food and wine, and who aren't concerned about the price.
