06/10/2025: We stopped by completely by chance, passing by after seeing the good reviews on Tripadvisor and the very cozy atmosphere! We weren't wrong, I highly recommend the mussel appetizer; their broth was incredible! We also had the beef ravioli with a very delicate sauce and the super-delicious pizza! The dough here is truly special! The dark-haired girl was super sweet and could communicate in several languages, which was absolutely delightful!

30/09/2025: ^^update^^ After having a phone call and 2 texts from the owner since we have returned to the UK trying to get me to remove my review comments Iv now given it 1star not 2 !!! Called me a liar and apparently I was sitting in doors on the best table ? Pics tell another story Review - Our visit to the restaurant (not hotel) was quite an experience. Thunderstorms and heavy rain was forecast for the evening and all night so were a bit surprised when we were seated right next to the waters edge and not under a canopy as the clouds were already on us . Waited 10 mins for a menu although only a handful of people were there being seated (also on the outer edge) . Was finally asked if we wanted an aperitif and given the menus . The prices for food are very reasonable and range from €18-€30 which we thought was very good for the quality of food . However after asking for the wine list after ordering the food (wasn’t shown one before ) we were presented with an iPad that had about 15 red wines on it that ranged from €50 - €360 !! Wasn’t expecting to spend such an amount on a drink when the food wasn’t in that price bracket and neither did the hotel look it (3 stars) After basically telling him we didnt want any wine his whole attitude to us seemed to change and rest of the evening felt awkward. The actual young waiter who did serve us food etc and clear the tables was fantastic however . Chaos came when the heavens opened up and Everyone (about 6 tables in all) suddenly needed to be moved under shelter . Headless chickens came to mind as the “big chiefs” moved plates , cutlery etc around onto tables they had for some reason only 10 minutes before cleared off . Anyway to sum it up , very good food for price but expect to be ignored and treated differently by some staff if you are not spending €100 on a bottle of wine .

26/09/2025: A true local hidden gem! We had an overnight stay in a closeby accomodation, and seeked for Italian cuisine for dinner and found this place. All our wishes were fullfilled to the top and beyond! I am not the best in describing the cuisine details, so pls read the other reviews for more insight. All I can say it was a great experience - the food, the service, the atmosphere and all.

18/07/2025: My family and I have been frequenting Pettirosso for about twenty years. We can say it's our favorite restaurant. The excellent Chef Rossano, Mrs. Emanuela, who is truly kind and the perfect hostess, and Mr. Simone, who is equally kind and very professional, always make us feel welcomed, pampered, and at home. The difference (compared to home) is that the cuisine is top-notch; the Chef's dishes are always delicious, never boring, and sophisticated; the service is always attentive and classy. For us, it's the best in our area: keep it up, and thank you for everything!

18/09/2025: I dined at this restaurant and had a truly pleasant experience. The staff was very kind, welcoming, and always available to accommodate any request with a smile. The food was excellent: dishes with attention to detail, beautifully presented, and rich in flavor. The warm, relaxed atmosphere made the evening even more enjoyable. It's definitely a place I'll return to and one I recommend without hesitation!

13/09/2025: Everything was excellent, the food and the staff were friendly. I think you just lack a welcoming of the customers, as many of them read the menu in front of the restaurant and leave.👍

20/09/2025: Filthy. The worst restaurant in Italy. Canned mushrooms, store-bought pasta, and ingredients that aren't fresh at all. The prices are tempting, but you'll regret it. Look elsewhere; there are plenty of other restaurants in Menaggio.

19/09/2025: 45 minutes before lunch break, unfortunately, no table was available, only "pizza to go" was offered, and at a "Procuiutto e Funghi" we got canned mushrooms, and the pizza was almost tasteless... What a pity

22/06/2025: Truly delicious food! During the week (Monday to Friday), they offer a set menu with a main course, a second course, water, wine, and espresso—all at a really fair price. On weekends, you can either choose a set menu or order à la carte. I had fettuccine with porcini mushrooms—super freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! The menu is small but fine. Overall, a friendly place with good food and fair prices. I'll be back!

09/09/2025: Family hotel, very, very nice!!! Special mention for the dinner, simply spectacular, as was the service provided by the waiter!!! The combination of flavors and aromas in each dish is worthy of note!! Congratulations!!!

Here, dining is a true experience, and the staff is smiling, friendly, and ready to fulfill your every wish. The friendly atmosphere is palpable as soon as you walk in. 😄 I recommend it to everyone. I will never miss this accommodation and this restaurant during my travels. Definitely stop here; Marcello and Maria, along with their staff, will be happy to host you, entertain you, and recommend food based on your desires.

03/10/2025: We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is super convenient, just a few steps from the ferry dock. The staff were so kind and always ready to help, which made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was homemade and delicious with lots of variety. Our room was spacious and clean.

25/09/2025: Hotel Posta provided two beautiful rooms with gorgeous lake views. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Nice breakfast is included. The hotel is located conveniently near restaurants and the ferry dock. Teresa and Patrizia went out of their way to make our stay easy and comfortable. Before we arrived, they responded to every question promptly. And even after we left, they went out of their way to mail us a pair of glasses we had inadvertently left behind, at no charge! We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Como. Highly recommend it, without reservation!
