05/04/2026: The 4.5 rating appears to be from the previous diner. We visited the restaurant to try the classic dishes on the menu. Lured by the inviting ambiance with its beautiful white tablecloths, we had high expectations. The fact that there were only a few guests at the time initially led us to attribute it to the higher price point – however, in retrospect, this suggests other explanations. The dishes in retrospect: • Vitello Tonnato: A very minimalist approach was taken here. The meat was the absolute focus and had a very firm texture. Since the sauce was used very sparingly, the meat's natural flavor remained completely pure and dry. • Caesar Salad: A dish for those who like it rustic. The meat topping was remarkably firm and offered extreme resistance when chewing – definitely a departure from the usual succulence. • Spaghetti Carbonara: This variation was very meat-heavy. The sausage component was so dominant that the pasta and the actual sauce were almost completely overshadowed. Unfortunately, the dish lacked any balance from a technical standpoint, as the excessive seasoning completely stifled any hint of Italian lightness. A very unusual experience that, sadly, failed to impress. In conclusion: The kitchen here takes a very unique approach to textures, intense seasoning, and the proportions of ingredients. For lovers of classic, succulent Italian cuisine, however, this presents a challenge. We've had the experience once and will leave it at that. Fortunately, we found a fantastic restaurant just a short distance away in town that completely satisfied our culinary desires – we immediately made a reservation for our second evening there.

18/03/2026: The Risorgimento restaurant in Sirmione no longer exists. It has changed ownership and its name. Now, that place is a tourist restaurant like so many others.

05/04/2026: Lovely spot on the lake. We ate quite well. The first course was very good, but the seafood salad lacked a bit of flavor, but it still got a thumbs up. The service was very slow; only one waiter took orders, and the others seemed completely unprepared. They were rushing around, yelling, and arguing with each other.

10/03/2026: I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante La Capannina, a restaurant located directly on the lakefront in a truly picturesque location. A huge plus is definitely the large adjacent parking lot, very convenient for those arriving by car. The restaurant's atmosphere is elegant and refined, perfect for a quiet or romantic dinner. The staff was very professional and attentive, while the Neapolitan management adds a touch of warmth and hospitality that is immediately apparent. The price is slightly higher than average, but it's fully justified by the splendid lake view and the quality of the overall experience. The cuisine is well-curated, the dishes are carefully presented, and the portions are generous, which is not always a given in restaurants of this caliber. The wine cellar is also excellent, with a wide and well-selected selection that perfectly complements the menu. In my opinion, it's an ideal place for a romantic dinner or to enjoy a special evening overlooking the lake. ⭐ Rating: 4/5

25/01/2026: We chose this restaurant over many others in the center of Salò, primarily for its striking appearance and refined style, evident from the outside, as it was our first time in town. We were immediately welcomed, despite the many people enjoying an aperitif at the bar. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The menu was interesting, with several off-menu options, some of which we took advantage of. We found everything to be very good and carefully prepared. The wine list truly caters to all tastes and budgets! The prices seemed in line with other places in the center. Excellent experience!

21/02/2026: Super friendly and helpful. I asked for takeout pizzas, and they delivered them even though they were fully booked. Good pizzas and local craft beers.

28/10/2025: A restaurant overlooking the Scaligero Castle. We had lunch for four, sharing an appetizer (very good fried gnocco and excellent hand-sliced ​​raw ham) and pizzas. Nothing exceptional, but good and well-cooked. Excellent value, especially considering the central location and the prices of other restaurants.

02/06/2025: Spinti dalle recensioni positive abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per un pranzo domenicale in visita dalle parti del lago di Garda. Tutto decisamente ottimo, dagli antipasti (abbiamo preso un tris di tartare di pesce) al primo consigliato dallo chef, rigorosamente a base di pesce. Nota di merito anche per il dolce, fresco e fatto in casa. Servizio preciso, consigli accurati sulla scelta del vino e dei piatti. Qualità-prezzo molto buona avendo mangiato pesce fresco: un antipasto, due primi, due dolci e una bottiglia di vino per 55€ a testa.

06/04/2026: The pizzas were really excellent, with great value for money, especially for such a touristy area. The setting is also a major plus: very well located, attractive, and a really pleasant place to spend some time. The service team is large and very responsive, which makes the experience even smoother and more enjoyable. We highly recommend it!

06/04/2026: Very good restaurant with excellent service and food. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. They also speak a lot of languages. The food is excellent, especially the tomahawk steak we ordered. I would recommend it to everyone who likes eating steak and meat.

05/04/2026: I had lunch here. I got the hamburger and fries. I also got a caprese salad, water and itaian beer. The food was pretty good. I didn't specify how I wanted my burger cooked, came out a little too rare for me. Nevertheless it was delicious. Most impressed with the wait staff. I have never seen such attentive wait staff before. Excellent service.

03/10/2025: Contrary to Google's message: "Temporarily closed" is incorrect. See invoice dated October 2, 2025. This is how you drive restaurants into ruin by claiming temporary closures. This means you can't blindly trust Google reviews. The food was good and the waiter very friendly.

10/04/2026: We had a wonderful stay with our daughter at the hotel! The Junior Suite (302) was perfect for us – spacious and with a wonderful view and a large terrace. Breakfast was also delicious, and we enjoyed it on the lovely terrace. The transfer from the parking lot went smoothly. The location in the old town is perfect. However, during peak season, it's quite busy in front of the hotel due to the ferry terminal, and it can be rather noisy, but this didn't bother us.

09/04/2026: Hotel location is excellent, shuttle transfer , acceptable room size Issues : we booked as we saw the AC option is there we reached the hotel switching the AC off we called they promised to open it next day but until we checked out they didn't open it we have been forced to open the window and it was so noisy we struggled for 2 days Wifi password not been provided during the checkin I don't recommend the hotel

19/04/2026: EDIT IN REPLY No one apologized on the phone, much less mentioned refunding us. After waiting 45 minutes, should we have gone out and waited again? No way!!! I repeat, we weren't told you would refund our money. Terrible experience. We ordered a focaccia and a portion of fries. When we opened the pizza box, there were two slices of cooked ham pizza inside, as if it were a scrap. We immediately called the pizzeria to explain what had happened, and they didn't even apologize, saying they had given us a leftover from another table, and if we wanted it, they would remake our pizza later. Shame on us. We paid for a whole pizza and received other customers' leftovers without even an apology.

26/10/2025: Very rude lady in charge of service. Poor quality food unless you are Italian or a regular. Great wine offer, but would not recommend.
