21/03/2025: The place is very cozy, the service is nice. The pizza is fresh, the dough is good, the lasagna is very juicy. Unfortunately, my dough arrived cold/cooled, hence the -1 star, but they reheated it for me upon request, so it was also very delicious.

25/01/2025: This is not a wine bar... it's an experience. Known casually and from the first moment you enter you immediately breathe an air of quality and hospitality. Personally, I've been twice for dinner and I've always had a great time. Serious choice of wines, excellent cellars and kindness from all the staff. Very nice and well-kept location. The selection of wines is exceptional, with a wide variety of both local and international labels, perfect for enthusiasts and those curious about good drinking. The gastronomic offer also does not disappoint: refined dishes, impeccable combinations and fresh ingredients. The owners are very nice, friendly and always available to advise on both wine and food, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. 08/03/2025: I specify that my review refers to the restaurant. The location of the restaurant is very beautiful, well-kept and welcoming. The atmosphere is magical but the quality of the food and the way it is prepared thwarts all expectations of the place. A real shame considering the quality/price ratio and the waiting times that between appetizers and first courses were about 1 hour!

Ci siamo trovati benissimo per quanto riguarda il cibo (primi piatti veramente ottimi) e il servizio (cordiale e veloce), un pò meno il conto, che per le nostre tasche era un pochino caro. Serviti dal cameriere Stefano, che ha preso molto a cuore la celiachia di nostra figlia! GRAZIE

09/04/2025: Sono andata dopo molti anni in questo ristorante che è uno dei più rinomati di Monteverde vecchio. Lo ricordavo come un ristorante dalla buonissima cucina. Quello che abbiamo vissuto è stato surreale. A parte che ci siamo seduti e ci hanno lasciato almeno 15 minuti ad aspettare. Il pane lo abbiamo dovuto chiedere e ce lo hanno portato dopo molto. Quando abbiamo chiesto il pesce ci propongono una spigola da 1 kg e diciamo che forse è troppo perché non siamo molto affamati. Optiamo per un filetto di orata e il cameriere ci dice che costa uguale. Ma nessuno aveva fatto una questione di prezzo. Ordiniamo un piatto di asparagi e un crostino per antipasto. Abbiamo dovuto aspettare più di un ora prima che ci venisse servito il pesce su un piatto secco senza alcuna grazia. Nessuno che si sia avvicinato al tavolo per sapere se avevamo bisogno di qualcosa. Nessuna cura da parte dei camerieri. Alla fine ci viene addebitato il pane 2 volte. Il conto 92 euro in 2 senza vino, senza primo piatto, senza dolce, senza amaro. Uno schifo, non ci metterò più piede e spero che leggano il giudizio e si rendano conto che una cena da 50 euro a persona valeva qualcosa in più, forse maggior gentilezza e attenzione da parte del personale.

10/12/2024: Supongo que ahora es una buena señal cuando el menú está solo en italiano y el camarero no habla mucho inglés. De todos modos, esta Osteria está justo fuera de las puertas romanas cerca de Villa Borghese. Servicio amable con suficiente inglés que la mayoría de los que no hablan italiano pueden arreglárselas. Fuimos capaces de averiguar lo que necesitábamos y tuvimos buena comida. El plato de crudo tenía una gran selección de pescado crudo, todos los cuales eran muy buenos. Luego un excelente plato de berenjena y pasta con pulpo y camarones pequeños. Buena selección de vinos por copa. El camarero recomendó un tinto siciliano que era bastante bueno para el precio. Tiramisú y sorbete de limón ambos muy buenos para el postre.

16/11/2024: Osteria vía Mantova fue elegido para nuestro almuerzo del viernes principalmente porque teníamos otros negocios en la zona. Resultó ser una experiencia de restaurante que vale la pena viajar! El ambiente es excelente y el personal amable y atento. La comida era bastante simple, pero tan bien preparado que uno no puede desear nada más. Las porciones son grandes, pero no abrumadoras. Éramos un grupo de cuatro que compartimos cuatro deliciosos antipasti, además teníamos un primi cada uno. Entonces estábamos satisfactoriamente llenos, y tuvimos espacio para solo un café y grappa después. El restaurante ofrece comida bien preparada y sabrosa a una relación calidad-precio extremadamente buena. Realmente fue una gran experiencia. Via Mantova está un poco fuera de la zona turística normal, pero vale la pena viajar un poco. Un gran lugar para comer si quieres ver Porta Pia, MACRO museo de arte y / o Quartiere Coppedè.

09/04/2025: Reservation for dinner with colleagues on Monday. We introduce ourselves and are offered a menu (starter, first course, second course, side dish and drinks included) for 30 euros. We decide to replace the first course with dessert (our mistake). The appetizers arrive and the bread is delivered when we had already almost finished the ham platters. A colleague asks for a first course, offering to pay for it separately, but the waiter says that it is not possible because the second courses are already ready. The second courses arrive (mixed roasts). On the trays, placed in front of 4 people, there are: 1 sausage divided in half, a slice or so of pork, a few pieces of rabbit, a few more slices of pork and some fried potatoes in the centre. The meat is rather dry and a little stringy as if it had not been cooked at the moment. Chicory also comes separately (very good to be honest). The desserts were good overall, if it weren't for a portion of sour cherry tart, which arrived in three small pieces measuring 2cm * 2cm. Around 10 we had the feeling that it was better to pay, since we were the only table left. since we lingered to have a chat outside the door of the restaurant, the staff turned off the lights of the restaurant and automatically also that of the parking lot in front, making us cross the road and walk in the dark to reach the cars. Not a pleasant experience

08/04/2025: We went for a business dinner on Monday evening, we were offered a fixed menu at €30 with starter, first course, side dishes, water and wine and in the end we chose dessert instead of the first course. Basically looking at the menu the price for those things was exactly the same and they didn't give us a big price but simply applied the normal menu, the problem was that in the end the second course (mixed roast) was not for 16 people (who we were) but yes or no for half so to eat we had to divide the sausages into 4 and so for everything that was brought to us. It's not the first time I've been there but I've never paid so much for so little and with that amount in the area you can eat much more and even better since the meat looked like it was left over on Sunday. Another sad thing is that we were practically kicked out at 10pm, I understand that there were no other people but if you want to close at 10pm on Monday you tell me first and I will organize differently. It's a shame because I've always had good memories of this place but on Mondays it's probably better not to go there because the food isn't that bad and they make you pay full price.
