11/07/2026: The place is nice, too bad that when we ordered the wine, a woman came in, I presume French, who was chewing gum and when she removed the cork from the bottle, it crumbled and she blew/spat on the neck to get rid of the crumbs that still fell into the glass, I was shocked and asked her what she was doing and she calmly told me that it's normal, a little condensation, a little cork, my husband didn't want to raise an issue but I found it inconceivable that she would spit in the bottle as if nothing had happened, the sommelier failed and made us pay 10 euros for the glass of wine spat out

05/07/2026: Restaurant with a terrace overlooking the beautiful view of Cala Rossano and the new port. Friendly and helpful staff. Varied menu, primarily seafood. Both the tuna tartare and eggplant parmigiana are excellent. The mezzé paccheri are also good. The babà is good but not amazing (though light). Highly recommended, whether for couples or with friends. We'll definitely be back. 2026 Update: Must try the swordfish in porchetta and the cod with black garlic. The cats are adorable!

09/08/2026: Terrible experience, spaghetti with clams very salty, same goes for spaghetti with seafood, slow and rude service, I strongly advise against it

03/08/2026: A family-friendly, informal place. We tried the typical Gaeta dish, calamarelle alla vota, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The first courses were also good, but we didn't try the desserts. The house wine was mediocre (though it was from a Roman winery, bottled with the restaurant's label). Prices were reasonable. Reservations are required (at least on summer weekends).

28/07/2026: A good place for seafood lovers; you can try everything here. The pizza was tasty, but not the best and lacking any wow factor. The prices are affordable: pizzas range from €8-€12, while seafood dishes are more expensive at €15+. The service is good, but you won't be greeted with a smile if you come in; they'll just wait on you. Service costs €2. I recommend this place for seafood. Regarding dessert, we ordered teramisu, but it was frozen (not ice cream). I wouldn't recommend it for dessert.

21/07/2026: The best restaurant in the area!!!!! The food is amazing; it's like a dream, the seafood and pizza are amazing!!!! And the mussels were the sensation of the evening! As for the owner of the place, I can only say this, a great MAN!!!! Thank you very much for a true Italian culinary evening! ❤️❤️❤️

05/08/2026: I've been a customer at Trattoria Il Grottino for almost 20 years now, and I can assure you that I've always had good food. The food is excellent, and the service is courteous and attentive. The experience and friendliness of Marina and Federico, the restaurant's owners, complete the overall image of the establishment. The restaurant definitely deserves an excellent rating.

02/08/2026: We loved this traditional trattoria for its amazing fresh seafood, atmosphere and setting in the centro storico. The owners said it has been in their family for 3 generations and it seems like a well loved local. We booked ahead and our family were seated promptly but there were people queuing later on in the evening.

12/07/2026: The staff is slow and inattentive to customers. You can't seat people and then, after 10 minutes, tell them the kitchen is closed and make them leave without eating.

12/07/2026: If I could give less than one star, I would have gladly done so. The guys in the dining room do everything except watch the tables and be attentive. Despite having asked for my order three times, it arrived wrong. Embarrassing service. A table of three people in a practically empty restaurant was left without food. They didn't even know why, in their opinion, the dish needed more time to prepare than the others, so they decided to leave me without dinner. I had ordered a tartare, the other two people ordered two cooked dishes, and I left without eating. At the end, when I pointed this out, the owner intervened in a very awkward manner and, instead of resolving the situation, claimed that the tartare was a dish that took longer to prepare than meatballs and a hamburger. It took about 55 minutes to wait for all of this. It's a shame because restaurants, or rather, those who know how to do this job, should have opportunities, not people who absolutely don't even know what this job is. Terrible. Flies all over me the whole dinner. Never again.

24/07/2026: The restaurant is well located and offers a pleasant setting. However, the service is lacking, and the food is nothing special. The pasta with tuna ragu was made with canned tuna… The menu wasn't up to date, we had to wait over fifteen minutes and even ask to order wine ourselves, even though the restaurant was practically empty.

22/07/2026: Simple seafood cuisine, rustic but well-prepared. You can arrive directly by dinghy or rented boat. Book well in advance to secure the best spots. Without a reservation, you can leave your name on the list, they'll call you, and only then can you approach by boat or from Cala Feola beach!

16/07/2026: Super fresh fish, excellent value, friendly and helpful staff. The pasta with potatoes, provola, and mussels is sublime. Highly recommended, also for its harborfront location.

15/06/2026: We were at this restaurant in Gaeta a few days ago. It's a lovely location because the outdoor tables are practically on the Gulf pier, even though there's constant traffic on the other side. Delicious food: sautéed mussels and clams, baby octopus and calamari appetizer, tagliolini with calamari, lemon, and clams, fried calamari and cod, rice with cod, beans, and escarole, pasta and potatoes... all exceptional. Unfortunately, once we got to the table, it took a truly biblical amount of time to be served, and I couldn't figure out why. Everyone around us had finished while our first courses were still waiting. Prices: a liter of wine, four first courses, a second course, two appetizers, and two liqueurs for €40 per person.

Here, I found it simply amazing. We also tried the owner's version of the mussel soup: truly delicious, prepared with personality and a great balance of flavors. Beyond the quality of the dishes, what struck me was the humility, helpfulness, and passion with which you are welcomed. 23/02/2026: Pizzeria located near the Church of Santa Teresa, adjacent to the Town Hall in the center of Formia (LT). The restaurant has a small room for takeout and a larger room for dine-in. The interior is bright, modern, and yet welcoming. The menu offers a wide selection: from appetizers to fried foods, from pizzas (in addition to the classics, there are many specialty pizzas), to a selection of first and second courses, and finally, desserts. The trio of montanare, filled with pistachio cream, pesto and parmesan, tomato sauce, and mozzarella, is very delicious. Very light, with a soft and light dough. The pizzas are also delicious, with a soft and light dough. The ingredients and toppings, carefully combined, enhance the flavors and quality of the ingredients. It's a combination of tastes and flavors that delight the palate. As for dessert, the artisanal tiramisu is truly exquisite. The perfect end to the meal. The staff is kind and friendly, offering very attentive service, making the customer feel welcome and at ease.
