05/10/2025: We had pizzas for dinner at the campsite restaurant because we were tired. They were good, but nothing special.

13/09/2025: Tea and coffee were served with dirty spoons. They changed them 3 times but still did not give a clean spoon. It seems to me that when spoons are returned because they are dirty, the next spoon should be checked before giving it to the customer, and not take away the dirty spoon and give a dirty spoon again. 01/09/2025: A fantastic little gem we stumbled across. We were a family of 13 and were seated straight away. Advice to non-Italian speakers: there's no 'menu' per se, but we were served unlimited pizzas of the chef's choice until we were full, and then a pasta of our choice. If you want a specific topping or dish, the staff did what they could to accommodate the request. We didn't quite get it at first, but ended up leaving stuffed and keen to return! The food was superb – we had a range of vegetarian and meat pizzas plus incredible authentic carbonara. Service was casual but welcoming and homely. The family clearly take a lot of pride in their establishment. The views over Itri were stunning, truly the standout of the location. Highly recommended!

The old grotto has been delighting us with its specialties for years... thanks to Ernesto, who is always available and attentive to his customers, it's as if he were welcoming us into his home every time... the pizza is truly delicious, as only you know how, and the place is very well-kept, welcoming, and charming... I recommend everyone to come here...

15/09/2025: Terrible experience. Just one person forced to do everything: set the table, clear it, take orders, and wait at the tables. Plus, she was loudly humiliated in front of the customers, shouting, "Hurry up and come here." For me, respect for staff and customers comes first, and it was completely lacking here. We waited over an hour: first we were told we could choose two different types of pasta (out of three available first courses), then we were told the chef would only accept one because "otherwise he'd go crazy." The menu wasn't written anywhere: it was just recited to us (three first courses, three second courses, and only a side of cherry tomatoes), yet in the end we saw platters being brought out that hadn't even been offered to us. The water arrived after 40 minutes. The place has potential, but it's terribly managed. The bathroom was disgusting; even washing my hands made me feel disgusted. In the end, when we decided to leave without eating, they even told us they'd already set the table. The table settings, yes, were rustic, but stripped down to the bare minimum: paper placemats, bagged steel cutlery, and a glass. "What a big effort." The only positive note was the lady in the dining room, who wasn't to blame: she did her best, constantly rushing around. But the management is embarrassing. Never again.

14/09/2025: We arrived at 1:15 PM, and by 1:55 PM, we hadn't even been served bread. Certainly not the fault of the poor waitress, forced to manage all the tables alone, but rather the total lack of organization and rudeness of the chef/owner, who instead of working simply berated her in front of the customers. There were no paper menus, no prices displayed: the only way to know what was available was to quickly hear it from the waitress when ordering, without having the slightest time to decide. We ordered three pennettes with asparagus and guanciale and two amatriciana pastas, but after more than 20 minutes, we were informed that it wasn't possible to have two different types of pasta: you had to order them all the same. Absurd and ridiculous. After an hour of waiting, the only thing that arrived at the table was water. We got up without eating anything, paying only for that. An experience to forget. A place like this should be avoided at all costs. Zero organization, zero respect, zero professionalism. Never again, not even for free. And above all: no playing with food.

06/11/2025: I always thought it was a bar, in fact I used to go there for an aperitif, but today I discovered they also serve food... I had a soup of mussels from Lake Paola, "excellent!" Affordable prices and excellent products! The quality/price ratio is excellent! Congratulations!!

31/07/2025: 👌 Perfect, super good food, now a go-to place to eat. Super low prices, with €10 or less you're full. The menu has many choices and there aren't just sandwiches but also burritos and hot dogs, and of course, the tasty treats too.

10/05/2025: Esperienza orrenda, netto peggioramento rispetto ad anni fa. Servizio pessimo, tempi di attesa indecenti (40 min per l’antipasto, oltre un’ora per il primo), porzioni ridicole ma non discuteremo di questo. Abbiamo aspettato tanto perché c’era il pienone? Assolutamente no, oltre al nostro tavolo (4 persone) ce ne era un’altro da due. Antipasti tutti uguali, per il primo 3 uguali e uno solo diverso. Ci hanno spacciato i prodotti come prima qualità, ma una crema di scampi per nulla diversa da quella che puoi trovare al supermercato. Non torneremo mai più. Fatevi un favore, mangiate altrove

23/08/2025: The best trattoria in Rome, just like it used to be. Traditional Roman dishes, generous portions, cooked with skill and love by the great Loreto. Thank you for the wonderful stories you told me, which I could still hear while you were telling them, and I watched you in amazement, and for the evenings spent at the restaurant with my family. 13/11/2025: Recently came home from Rome after celebrating my 50th We found this restaurant by asking a member of staff at our hotel The waiters and waitresses were excellent And the food was delicious , great menu and not very expensive We like to thank all the staff for a wonderful relaxing couple of evenings and for looking after us so well We Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone Once you’ve been once you’ll go back a second time

11/11/2025: Incredibly poor service, we practically had to sit on the street. Five employees kept staring at us, no heating, and an uninviting overhead light. Definitely not recommended! A 40% charge was added to the bill for drinks only. Not to mention the disgusting restrooms! Definitely not recommended.

05/11/2025: I've been here a few times and can recommend it. The pizza dough is good, the carbonara is delicious, and the prices are reasonable.

12/05/2025: Negli anni ci sono stata più volte e mi è sempre piaciuto, ieri sono rimasta molto delusa. Servizio totalmente disorganizzato: i camerieri che non sapevano dove portare i piatti, il vino l’abbiamo dovuto chiedere 3 volte e dopo aver chiesto di metterlo in ghiaccio non è stato fatto. Abbiamo preso i primi di pesce che erano un lago di olio all’aglio e basta (allego foto di quelli che dovevano essere spaghetti con vongole). Mi dispiace molto, ma è un grande no.

12/05/2025: Siamo venuti in questo ristorante per cena. Già all' entrata ci siamo trovati molto bene, il posto è luminoso e molto accogliente. Gli ordini sono arrivati e subito e nonostante abbiamo ordinato 5 piatti diversi, ce li hanno portati tutti insieme. I camerieri sono molto gentili e il cibo è molto buono. Consiglio.
