02/11/2025: Terrible management. We waited two hours for a plate of plain pasta for the kids.

11/10/2025: I have to say it was a negative experience. It's a neighborhood pizzeria that also offers food. The place is very simple with modern, basic furnishings, but the downside is the service. Even though there aren't many customers, the wait for a simple pizza was excruciating. I thought it was an isolated incident, but over time it turned out to be a regular occurrence... pure slowness. The pizzeria is completely disconnected from the restaurant, and those sitting down have to wait forever to get a pizza. Those who want takeout pizza have an even worse experience... endless waits, with pizzas being put in insulated containers while they wait for all the orders to match. The result is that one pizza comes out of the oven and is put on hold, then other pizzas come out and go to the tables, then other pizzas come out and go to the delivery men, then other pizzas come out to complete the initial order from 20 minutes earlier... total chaos! You end up with freshly baked pizzas, some in insulated containers, and some cold ones that have been sitting there for who knows how long. I've never seen such poor, inaccurate, slow service. Despite all this, if you're lucky enough to have everything go smoothly and get a hot pizza, the quality isn't bad. You have the option of choosing between Neapolitan or Roman pizza, and the prices aren't in line with the context.

16/01/2026: We arrived at this place past 11PM on a normal weekday in January and they did welcome us without any hesitation. The whole menu was available to order, no closed kitchen excuse. They didn't rush us to eat or leave quick, even though we were the last table. The food was really good and fulfilling. They deserved a 5* until I saw a surcharge on the bill at the end that they removed when I requested. We already pay coperto, so why the extra? It would be better to avoid these things.

30/05/2025: December 31, 2022. Spending New Year's here with my ex-girlfriend; it's almost been three years. The steak was delicious, and the waiter's enthusiastic explanation of the wine and steak was excellent. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Italy.

04/03/2026: Entering Rocco's on Via Lanza is like stepping into a Scola film, welcomed by Juliet Binochet as the hostess, adding that touch of Parisian flair that never hurts. The slightly bohemian decor, with prints and paintings that in their own way have something to say, starting from the windows before the entrance, and then arriving at the blackboard where the unique specials of the day appear. These are perhaps a bit limited, but even in this, Rocco stands out. The dishes aren't particularly original, but they are firmly rooted in tradition, from the gricia to the broccoli and arzilla soup, to the meatballs and roast beef. The expert hands in the kitchen pamper the diner with bold flavors and an unmistakable taste, reviving memories of grandma's cooking. Without adding 13 sauces or sparing with condiments. The wine list reflects the man himself, as does the wall of paintings. It's not symmetrical, but it's just the right amount of refinement and originality. It's lopsided because it's handwritten, but it's comprehensive. The markups are a bit high, but the balance between quality and wine selection is just right. Talking and smiling, with a room full of people, a thousand different options, but above all, all very original, we arrive at the dessert trolley. He doesn't waste time chatting, either; his taste is decisive, and you can nibble on it on the way to the bathroom. Perhaps that's why that peek-a-boo view that ultimately draws you in and makes you want to order it even before you've finished your meal. The painful part isn't so painful after all. The service is never too invasive, and if the reviews suggest it's a bit harsh, perhaps you should ask yourself how you enter this place: whether with the arrogance of a modern diner or of someone just looking to enjoy an evening. The hostess doesn't mince her words, but she's rightly playing the role of a mother who scolds you if you leave the table without clearing the table first. And with her attire and that touch that makes you cross the Alps, she's perfect in her role. Recommended.

21/02/2026: Great restaurant. I booked it ahead of my trip. Amazing view of the Colosseum, it was definitely worth it. It can get fully booked because of the view, so I recommend reserving in advance. Nice atmosphere. I loved it!

13/01/2026: It felt like walking into a museum ✨ As a foreigner, I thought I might face discrimination because it’s such a classy place, but the staff were incredibly welcoming ✨ There was an older gentleman (no offense meant, I forgot his name 😭) who was exceptionally kind. I’ve honestly never met such a generous Italian person! He definitely deserves a promotion, haha! And of course, the food was great 👍🏻

11/01/2026: Yes! Go! First it’s so unique and different to be surrounded by huge ancient statues while you’re having dinner AND the food was amazing! I got the pasta with the buffalo and basil. Perfect in the summer because the mozzarella cools down each bite in a perfect way. Tiramisu was the best I’ve had in Italy

28/01/2026: I saw your blog and asked you a question... It was so delicious... Why do you blog... I ate at Bonggol Chucheon... It was really tasteless and the cutlet was so-so. I got a birthday present. I ordered a pasta, a large beer, and it came to 85,000 won including tax. Later, the employee tried to appease me... I was so dumbfounded that I had to leave.

24/01/2026: My friend and I came here on Wednesday 21st January 26. We enjoyed the food, and hospitality from the staff. We both had lasagne and chips , my friend had a beer i had house wine. Felt so at ease and had no complaints whatsoever we came back the next night and ate here again. Both had a lovely pizza each was filling and couldn't eat it all, it wasnt a problem and they gave us a takeaway box. 😋 I would recommend this resturante, and wouldn't hesitate to come here if ever i find myself in Rome again .

04/03/2026: Booked for a group of 24 people, very negative experience, superficial service, I asked for a fruit salad or other dessert due to an intolerance and they told me they don't have anything, an apple if I want. One waiter even gave me a rude answer... really a place to avoid!

01/03/2026: I had the opportunity to have lunch at "Il Pozzetto" in Borgo Pio with a friend... it was a pleasant surprise! The service was impeccable, the staff kind and welcoming! The dishes were prepared with care and the ingredients were excellent! Simone, the owner, was also very nice... we will definitely be back!
