29/09/2025: We found ourselves having lunch with a friend during a stop on a motorcycle tour. The place is fabulous! It was a perfect late-September day for an excellent lunch in a quaint restaurant. We ate fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, mutton skewers, and sautéed broccoli, along with dessert and coffee. Everything was excellent. The staff was friendly, and we chatted with the owner about the history of the place. A pleasant break before heading home.

21/09/2025: We went to Patrizia restaurant and our experience was not positive. The receipt even had a different name and address listed ("Vanilla Café" in Rieti), which creates confusion and a lack of transparency. We spent €25 for three iced teas and two desserts, a price completely disproportionate to the amount consumed. The place is beautiful, with relaxing music, but the atmosphere doesn't make up for it: the staff's manners don't make you feel welcome; in fact, they discourage you from staying and enjoying the experience. In short: an expensive place, lacking transparency, and with a welcoming atmosphere that leaves much to be desired. I wouldn't recommend it, as it's neither worth the expense nor the experience.

26/07/2026: In May 2026, seven tourists were approached by a young woman named Sofía (Venezuelan) who was initially very pleasant and friendly. We were shown to a well-ventilated area and given the menu without any explanation of how the meat and fish dishes would be charged. Once we finished eating, they brought us the bill, and what a shock to see the final cost! Although the menu did list the price per 100 grams of protein in very small print, they never asked us how many grams we wanted. The T-bone steak was more bone than meat and, above all, very raw, even though we had asked for it to be well-done. We asked Sofía to come back and explain the bill in Spanish, but she never appeared. She hid and wouldn't face us. We reluctantly paid the bill. A COMPLETE SCAM FOR TOURISTS – NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL – A REGRETTABLE EXPERIENCE.

03/08/2025: Too expensive for what it is. Tiny terrace, bland atmosphere. And the staff are cold and unfriendly to tourists, even when paying… Definitely not a place I would recommend.

20/05/2026: The food was very good, and the location is also very nice. The restaurant is definitely geared towards ceremonial lunches or dinners and seafood-based menus. The dishes were all good. In our case, the room was empty and therefore a bit too quiet, but obviously that wasn't a problem. Since there were only 22 of us, there was only one person serving the table. Overall, we had a good time.

26/04/2026: Good service and food. Welcoming atmosphere.

18/05/2026: Disastrous!!! A meat lasagna that only had béchamel sauce and wafers...the meat wasn't even there. They charged us for a service charge that wasn't listed anywhere. We asked for an explanation, and they threw the menu on the table where the service charge was hidden (on the dessert page at the very bottom), not where you'd normally look first, on the main menu. When you try to talk to them, they pretend not to understand the language, but they clearly understood the order...AVOID EATING THERE!

02/04/2026: The food was okay, but unfortunately the worst we ate in Rome. We didn't even get a glass for our Coke. The atmosphere wasn't particularly nice either, and the service was very unmotivated. We waited 15 minutes before we could order drinks. At least the Aperol Spritz was good.

29/07/2026: Stay away from this place. €9.5 for lemonade, €6.5 for coffee. Giulio is a good guy (waiter) pulling people in, the owner, though, well you decide.

23/07/2026: Construction and cockroaches. Cover charge of 25 euro and 10 percent service charge.

04/08/2026: Unfortunately, the reviews here are true. The waiters are rude, and the food is not good.

01/08/2026: The waiters were very rude, and putting aside the rudeness, they gave us very little change. We paid 130 euros, but even though it should have been 112 euros, they only gave us 8 euros. We went back and asked for the difference, and they reluctantly gave it to us. They were clearly trying to rip us off because we were tourists. Let's not even talk about the food. We came to Rome and decided to try an Italian pizza on our first day. We basically ate cheese bread instead of pizza. If they had put cheese on flatbread, I wouldn't have paid 17 euros at least. They only have two types of pizza without pork; we ordered the first one, and we got cheese bread. I wish I had taken a picture. The Pizza Margherita was like bread with tomato paste; I tasted that too. There are much, much better ones in other places. It was a disaster. It's unbelievable that there's such a pizzeria in the middle of Rome. There was absolutely nothing good about it. Also, I strongly advise people with epilepsy not to go to the toilet, otherwise they might have a seizure. The light was flashing like a headlight every 0.5 seconds. There wasn't even water from the tap. In short, a terrible place.

16/05/2026: Scammers, to be blunt. I had booked a nearby restaurant, Primo San Lorenzo, for a conference dinner. The owner of that restaurant is clearly in cahoots with the owner of Tana Sarda, as it doesn't exist. We were redirected here; 70 completely unaware people were called 10 minutes before dinner to inform them that their reservation was, in fact, for a non-existent restaurant. I imagine the reason is that Primo San Lorenzo is a nice and "trendy" place (at least on the surface), while Tana Sarda is a low-end restaurant, ugly, old, that smells like a tourist trap and frozen food from miles away. Which is most likely what it is. The food is simply awful, the waiters are quite incompetent: the menu included one beer each and water for everyone, and they made a fuss because one customer didn't want a beer but something else. The place is absolutely sad. There's nothing redeeming about this place, which I would have given a #1 review even without the scam. Throughout all this, they were completely calm and seemed completely unconcerned about my protests of "you scammed us." In fact, they even had the audacity to complain to me that I hadn't been very precise about the numbers (which I had always made clear; I had chosen the other restaurant because it would allow standing; this one is a dump and obviously unsuitable for the evening we'd planned). A surreal experience.

10/05/2026: I'm truly sorry to have to write this review because this restaurant had been a wonderful discovery for me and my boyfriend, but this time the experience was rather unpleasant. The courgette flowers were still frozen and were served 20 minutes later. Our order was lost, which can happen, but when the first courses finally arrived after almost an hour of waiting, the carbonara had an undercooked egg, the spaghetti was almost raw, and the pasta that was supposed to be with porcini mushrooms actually had mushrooms. We stood up and were allowed to leave without paying. An apology and more attentive staff would have also been appreciated.

14/05/2026: The atmosphere is well-kept, clean, and welcoming. The staff is helpful and very courteous. The portions are generous and the food is very good. I dined here on a trip with my friends and family, and we all enjoyed our meal, and it was highly recommended.

03/04/2026: A terrible experience, to say the least. We were at this restaurant near Termini because it had a special deal with the hotel during a school trip, so we had no choice... but it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I've never eaten so badly. The food was simply disgusting: lasagna with a strong taste of used oil, inedible. The cutlet was clearly frozen, with pieces still frozen and the meat tasted almost spoiled. The salad wasn't fresh either. The cake was embarrassing: a chemical, nauseating taste, worse than the worst discount store snacks. It's not just a matter of taste: some of us felt sick after eating, which is really serious. The overall hygiene of the place also left a lot to be desired, making the experience even more unpleasant. To make matters worse, the staff filmed customers with their cell phones without their consent, including some minors. The next day, even though we had already paid, we decided not to return to avoid eating there again. A negative experience in every way. Absolutely avoid. I only gave it one star because it's not possible to give zero!

01/06/2026: Stay away from this place! Zero hygiene and manners by the Indian staff there. One touched my ice cream with hands while adding a biscuit on the top. The other told me: “I said wait; you don’t have a mind.”

01/06/2026: I didn't try the food at the restaurant, so I can't evaluate it. However, I did try their ice cream, and the experience was quite negative. It felt like a low-quality product, with a gritty and unpleasant texture, so I wouldn't recommend it. Considering that it's part of their menu, this also affects my overall impression of the place. Furthermore, I used the restrooms, and they were in very poor condition. The cleanliness and maintenance clearly need improvement, which further detracts from my overall impression of the restaurant. In short, while I can't comment on their main dishes, my experience with other aspects of the restaurant leaves much to be desired.

10/08/2026: Not sure what all the bad reviews are about , me and my partner sat here for lunch , were server politely and promptly and the food was good and cheap, would recommend, nice view of a good fountain too

09/08/2026: Reading the reviews was a bad idea for me because i experience positive here. Okay at first they are not that approachable but it's not the case for me, the spaghetti bolognese is okay its delicious fresh meat, sauce, and pasta served hot. I hope people will give them 2nd chance they are quite nice the owner was very happy to know that i enjoyed their food. My experience was 10/10.

11/01/2026: Nemi 10/01/2026 The worst restaurant experience I've had so far! My partner and I, seeing the panoramic room with a lake view, decided to stay for lunch at 1:30 PM after reserving a table. Unfortunately, we began to see a couple of pseudo-waiters without uniforms, lacking a minimum of courtesy, bordering on arrogance, serving other tables that had arrived after us. When we complained, we were gestured from afar to stay relaxed because today was Sunday, so there were no rules. 🤔 After more than an hour, the first courses arrived... given the delay, we canceled our order for the second course, but the chef came from the kitchen, threateningly demanding that we accept the second course because it was already being cooked. At that point, we asked to take back the leftovers of the first courses because we were no longer hungry and also because my partner's carbonara was very salty. You won't believe it, but at this point, one of the pseudo-waiters takes the carbonara plate and, using my partner's fork, stuffs himself with a mouthful, drooling, and declares it's delicious! I would have reacted differently, but I paid the bill and we left, hoping to meet some traffic policeman to report the experience, but unfortunately, they were probably on their lunch break too. Anyway, it's a nightmare! These people should be wasting away somewhere else...not in restaurants!

11/08/2026: Tourist scammers!! They charged us €16 for two small single-scoop ice cream cones. Beware!

03/08/2026: As a tourist I was scammed with prices. Lady was very good at fool me with smooth talk.

08/08/2026: The food was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten—the staff scammed us attempting to have us pay almost €400 for a meal that actually cost us ~€160. We asked for bread then suddenly the waiter who spoke amazing English acted like he didn’t understand—he listed off a bunch of other thing along with bread we as stable said no only bread he said okay—next thing we know we get bread with plates of nasty mozzarella balls and plates of a variety of meats non of which we asked for. The meals came and no one could get close to finishing it was that bad. When our check came we realized they had the bread at over €200s and were refusing to take the stuff we didn’t order off the bill. We had to threaten to call the police and refused to pay the for what we didn’t order. In the end we didn’t pay for the initial amount but still more than we should have.

16/07/2026: - Dirty place. - Rude and intrusive waiters. - Wine glasses with lipstick marks from previous customers. - The risotto rice was very hard. - They served us the pasta and we had to ask for the cheese, otherwise they wouldn't give it to us. Everything was wrong.

22/05/2026: TERRIBLE experience here. A crooked establishment having separate menus and offerings for locals vs tourists and no price transparency. Will scam you if you let them. We came for “happy hour” as advertised but were told there “was no menu”. We asked to order the small plate of focaccia like the table beside us was having, and 2 glasses of wine. When we got the bill not even 10 minutes later my jaw hit the floor to see €52.80. €26 for 6 small pieces of stale focaccia, €9 per glass of wine and A 20% SERVICE FEE. After arguing with 2 different servers, a manager finally came over to confirm that we were correct and the price of the wines should not have been on our bill as that was the happy hour deal and corrected this. Had we not questioned or held our ground the servers absolutely would have scammed us to make more $$!! Disgusting and we felt very upset that there were many Italian ppl sitting who were obviously having a very different experience than any of the tourist tables.
