12/10/2025: Surreal experience: we called to reserve a table for 15 at 11:00 PM on a Saturday night, and they confirmed we could eat. Ignoring the fact that half the dishes on the menu weren't available, we ordered drinks and, after being brought a few beers and five bottles of water, we were told they'd run out of water for the evening (12:00 AM on a Saturday night). We'd ordered a few portions of chicken nuggets, and what we received were inedible chicken strips (left there after just one taste), undercooked chicken, and rancid meat. The best part was the sandwiches, since as soon as the first three arrived (we'd ordered 15), we noticed that the bun was burnt, the bacon wasn't bacon, and, most importantly, that the burger had been cut horizontally and was COLD. Given the situation, we decided to pay and get up without having barely touched any food, and without the staff apologizing or saying a word about what had happened. I think it would have been enough to communicate that they didn't have the resources/staff necessary to provide dinner (and water). I've never had an experience like this before, so if you're thinking of stopping by for a bite to eat, it's definitely worth avoiding.

12/10/2025: On Saturday night, 15 of us sat down, ready for a quiet evening with friends... and instead, we found ourselves in a nightmare. We started ordering drinks: they didn't have still water, only sparkling water. That says it all. Okay, we adjusted and ordered 10 bottles of sparkling water. After a few minutes, the waitress returned to tell us that... they'd run out of that too. We ordered beers: we asked the same waitress for Weiss. After two minutes, the owner appeared to inform us that they'd never had Weiss. Perfect, by now we should have figured out where we'd ended up. Let's move on to the food: "Kitchen Nightmare" quality, and that's not just a figure of speech. All the fried foods on the menu were "unavailable" because—in their own words—"we removed the fryer, now we use the air fryer." Perhaps to save on electricity. We then ordered some fried chicken strips (so to speak). After an hour of waiting, they arrive: sour, inedible. The sandwiches are burnt, with bacon that probably went bad, and the meat seems to have been shared between multiple sandwiches. The quality of the food was simply disgraceful, and the kitchen management is appalling. At that point, we decide to get up and leave without touching practically anything. They also charge us 10 euros each without having eaten practically anything. And, as if that weren't enough, we see the uneaten sandwiches being set aside as if they intend to reuse them in the future. A place like this shouldn't even open its doors to the public. Zero organization, food worthy of criticism, and management that's embarrassing to say the least. I've never had an experience like this. But the final gem... they had a DJ playing outside... there wasn't any still water, but there was a DJ.

29/03/2026: I think it was a great experience, the food was amazing, the service from the workers was amazing, and as well I think the owner was there and he was very kind, I came back a few times even with my parents, and the everything was better and better. 14/03/2026: One star is even too much: carbonara with cream and bland cacio e pepe (a contradiction, right?). The term tonnarello should indicate egg pasta. However, we were specifically told that the local "tonnarelli" don't contain eggs and, moreover, were rubbery: they seemed pre-cooked or something. It was also difficult to roll them. A tourist trap.

10/04/2026: We ate outside, which was very pleasant. The place is unpretentious, but all in all, for a last-minute lunch on Easter Monday, it was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. We'll be back to try the wood-fired pizza! I've read other terrible reviews; I don't know what they were expecting. It's definitely not a 5-star restaurant. €50 for two, including half a liter of wine, two bottles of water, an appetizer, two first courses, and two coffees. The only caveat: artichokes should be on the menu. Those coming from outside Rome have the right to try them. 😁

06/04/2026: No need to visit, we did not try pizza it can be the reason to dine there. Service in status quo mode. Begetables only deep fried . Place is nicely decorated but food was under all expectatipns

02/04/2026: The lasagna was delicious. Everything was very tasty. It's lovely to eat at night by the warmth of the gas burners. I definitely recommend it. As for the prices... they're about average for what you'd spend in Europe.

24/01/2026: The restaurant is called Giardino Bonelli and is a pizzeria located just steps from Villa Bonelli. The owner also has an adjacent bar, and the two establishments complement each other. The place has a few tables inside and a pleasant veranda, with a corner furnished with sofas for drinking and listening to music. There's not a wide selection, but the pizzas are good, Roman-style, with an electric oven and truly competitive prices. It's hard to find a Margherita for €7 in Rome. The service is friendly and courteous.

08/03/2026: Found by chance, this place was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is simple yet refined and spotlessly clean. Very good dishes, authentic flavors, and portions like those of a traditional trattoria. Attentive and fast service. Not much to say, if you're looking for an honest trattoria, this is the right choice!

09/07/2025: Capisco il mantra della difficoltà nel trovare personale, ma far salire e scendere due volte i clienti per trovare un tavolo per DUE persone, prenotato, dicendo che non è disponibile, è veramente incredibile! Pizza buona, buona scelta di vini a calice, urge un po' più di organizzazione e professionalità.

18/06/2025: Cena con amici, due tavoli da 14 persone, uno per adulti e l’altro per bambini. Abbiamo ordinato alle 20,45. Alle 21,30 il tavolo degli adulti aveva già ricevuto antipasto e piatto principale. Il tavolo dei bambini alle 22,15 ha iniziato a ricevere le pizze…. Su 14 hanno iniziato a mangiare in 3. Gli altri aspettavano…Non aggiungo altro. Vergognoso. Non ci torneremo più.

03/03/2025: We sat down on "Fat Thursday" (of course, Italians don't know this custom) and left very happy.

01/03/2025: I stopped for a coffee, cappuccino, and a slice of pizza. There were two of us. I asked if we could sit there, and they pointed to some stools. Since they were uncomfortable, I asked if we could go to the dining room, and they said no problem, and we could go wherever we wanted. The space was cramped, and we were face-to-face with our neighbors. We asked for two glasses of water, which are usually provided with the coffee. A 10-minute wait. Finally, my friend tried to go to the counter and lure us to bring them to the table. The surprise came with the bill. Coffee was €2.50, cappuccino €3.50, and a slice of pizza (very good) was almost €10. It was as if at a pizzeria we would have gotten a round pizza and received better service. No one had mentioned the surcharge at the table. When I stood up and ordered a coffee, it cost €1.30. No menu was displayed, the staff were almost all foreign and colorful, perhaps intentionally placed because of their limited communication skills with Italians. My idea, eh... I don't recommend it because of the dishonesty, the customer service, and the prices. I recommend it because of the taste of the products. .... But what can I say? Tourists are their main target, customer service doesn't matter.

09/04/2026: It was a wonderful dinner, the most amazing service we've ever had in Rome. Our waiter was very kind, and we received compliments from the restaurant. The pasta was delicious, as was the tiramisu. Thank you so much, we highly recommend it to everyone who wants to experience the true Italian spirit! ❤️

25/10/2025: It's not worth it because the price is very high and the quality is terrible. The seafood spaghetti dish was awful, with a bitter taste, and the carbonara didn't taste good either. I don't recommend it at all. We were saddened to pay €45 for this meal.

19/11/2025: Their service was appalling: while I was looking at the menu and ordering, a waiter snatched it from my hand like a seagull, and then a group of three came over and demanded I leave immediately. Their reason was that I was holding an ice cream I had just bought from them when I ordered, and they even demanded I stand up and eat it, telling me I couldn't sit down until I finished. In the end, I threw the ice cream on the table (and left a small tip, of course), and left. If you're looking for lunch, never consider this restaurant!!
