08/01/2026: Our first taste of Rome’s espresso & ice cream magic: Terrazza Ciampini – coffee, gelato & Roman atmosphere at its best As tourists visiting Rome for only a week, we were looking for places that could give us an authentic taste of the city – and Terrazza Ciampini delivered far beyond expectations. It became our very first unforgettable experience with authentic Roman coffee and Italian ice cream, and we loved every minute of it. The location is simply perfect. After a walk through the beautiful Villa Borghese Park, one of Rome’s most impressive green spaces -filled with trees, paths, fountains, and a peaceful, classic Roman atmosphere-, we reached the elegant surroundings of Villa Medici. The café sits right in this charming zone. The terrace itself offers a refined yet relaxed environment. The service was exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming. The staff treated us with genuine warmth, making us feel comfortable even though we were first-time visitors and did not speak Italian. The caffè doppio was outstanding – rich, aromatic, and perfectly prepared. It was our introduction to Rome’s coffee culture, and we could not have asked for a better first impression. And then came the gelato. The menu describes it beautifully: “… ice cream is like a perfume. Everyone has his own. Mine has all the flaws of a homemade ice cream.” This sentence perfectly reflects the experience – artisanal, real, slightly imperfect in the best way, and absolutely delicious. The texture was creamy, the flavours were natural, and it felt like a handcrafted masterpiece rather than a commercial dessert. The ice cream alone is worth the visit. If you want great coffee, incredible gelato, and a beautiful setting surrounded by one of Rome’s best parks and piazzas, this is the place—a classy Roman pause in the middle of sightseeing – peaceful, scenic, and memorable. Highly recommended. A first excellent taste of Rome we will never forget.

Every course we were served was delicious, but... the atmosphere was very nice, and even though we had a reservation and the place was still empty, we were given a table near the entrance, which blew in unbelievable sewer smells. They didn't change our table or offer us a discount; the owner tried to rectify the situation by opening the door and letting it air out. Despite the limited staff, we were served discreetly. This is definitely not a cheap place; we paid €55 per person. One last tip: if you're a dessert lover, skip the crema catalana—it's delicious, but the portion is really small—and opt for the slice of cheesecake with dulce de leche, or the classic churros.

17/10/2025: I chose this restaurant because I had heard about it. Excellent welcome and good characteristic appetizers. The problem was the first and second courses.......overcooked and tasteless the first. Padta with clams.....tasteless the second...Pajella....I'm sorry because the place is very nice and the staff welcoming but something didn't work

18/02/2026: A very disappointing experience On Sunday, February 15, 2026, we visited this restaurant as a family of four. The day had begun peacefully, but unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by the service. After about a half-hour wait, we finally managed to order our entrees. However, after another hour, only three dishes arrived; my wife never received hers. We repeatedly contacted the staff without receiving a concrete solution. Finally, tired of waiting, we decided to leave without everyone having eaten. We were forced to grab a slice of pizza in front of the restaurant. A family lunch that was supposed to be enjoyable turned into a frustrating experience. Given the organization and the service we received, we won't be returning.

17/01/2026: Hotel is not fancy, but it is clean, has hot showers and is very convenient to Cassino, all the WWII sites and Abbey of Montecassino. Breakfast was OK - good base for the day.

13/01/2026: Modern and clean rooms, excellent customer service. They've also improved the restaurant, offering tasty, well-prepared dishes. Slightly outside Cassino but easily accessible.

23/08/2025: Customer service is definitely Blanka's top priority. We asked what type of gin they had and were introduced to us at the table in a professional yet informal manner. I'd add that the gin selection is EXCELLENT. Antony took great care of us. They promptly closed the awnings for us as soon as the wind picked up. We ordered a tasting appetizer, a fried fish dish, and a gnocchi with scampi cream. I can honestly say it's been a while since I've eaten such good fish. We felt truly pampered. 100% recommended

24/12/2025: We've never felt ripped off like we did at this bar. The prices were crazy, with NO INFORMATION, and NO DISPLAYED PRICES. If you touch the table, the prices double. I've never seen anything like it, not even in luxury places. A €4 cappuccino and a stuffed white pizza were charged at €4.50, which went from €4.50 to €7 because I dared to eat at the table. A €2.20 Coke went from €4.50 to €4.50. Be careful ⚠️ before setting foot in this place. These places shouldn't exist; it's shameful for this city.

25/05/2025: The place is welcoming, the food delicious and I appreciate that you can ask for a vegetarian paella.

15/05/2025: Quality ingredients. The ham platter was really good, and the service was very attentive, even after specifying any food intolerances. I would have preferred a selection of tapas on the menu, which seemed almost marginal, and the focus was on paella when in reality there are much more noteworthy dishes like roast suckling pig and beef meatballs, or other seafood options. Prices are reasonable.

Il Grottino (Paese): superb seafood pasta and impeccable service ​Review: ​We were passing through on our motorcycle and stopped at "Grottino" in the historic center of San Felice Circeo (be careful not to confuse it with the one at the port!). We just wanted a quick seafood pasta dish, but we were pleasantly surprised by how quick and, above all, excellent it was. ​The seafood pasta was incredibly fresh, expertly cooked, and incredibly flavorful—a true pleasure. ​Besides the excellent cuisine, the service deserves special praise. The owner, Federico, is the true soul of the place: helpful, attentive, and clearly trained to make every customer feel at ease and accommodate every request. A true professional! ​If you're looking for authentic and delicious seafood cuisine combined with top-notch service, this is the place. We'll definitely be back later to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended!

26/10/2025: A stroll and lunch with friends and kids. The place is rustic, perhaps a little spartan for some, but it has its charm. We loved it, and the fireplace creates a wonderful atmosphere. As for the food, what can I say? Everything was excellent! Delicious vegetables, you could really taste the right flavor in every dish. Truly delicious. The staff was also very kind and available to answer any questions. Thank you so much, and see you next time.
