01/07/2026: I've been coming to this restaurant since I was born. The quality of the dishes is always excellent, and the service is impeccable. If you want a great fish first course or second course, ask for Vladimiro. He'll be able to give you the best advice.

11/06/2026: Nowadays it is so hard to find a truly authentic, quiet and really so tasteful restaurant in Rome’s historical center. Evangelista is just that and all that. Everything we had was so delicious, beautifully prepared and served. Unfussy, just classy old school Italian historical establishment.

06/05/2026: An extraordinary experience in a historic, elegant venue, filled with, among other things, great works of art (Sughi, Chagall, De Chirico, Tofano). With professionalism, refined taste, and elegance, the owner guided us through the selection of highly refined dishes made with the highest-quality ingredients. The artichokes baked in a brick oven and the vignarola (a kind of tomato sauce) are particularly noteworthy...and everything else, right down to the extraordinary desserts! Bravo!

16/08/2026: 44 eur down the drain. Came over because we were starving. Ordered tomato pasta with bacon. Bacon was full of fat and tomato sauce was so tense, I couldn't finish the plate. Waitress noticed that and even confirmed if I didn't like the food. He didn't strike it off the bill though, so what's the point of asking then? My wife got the tiniest shrimps ever, possibly less of a size of a finger nail. Again waitress said it was perfectly fine and pointed at some of the average size shrimps on tge plate. Ridiculous coperto of 3 eur for such an underwhelming experience. Overall, a dissatisfying experience.

15/08/2026: Attention: tourist rip off. (I changed my score after having read further reviews. Our experience seems to not have been a „misunderstanding“ but more proof of a system. So I marked my original 3-stars down to one. Don’t go there!) Surprisingly ice cream cost 12€ per kid which i only found out upon paying —— felt a bit like a tourist rip off place. Place was great: shadow, cool air, terrace. The team was genuinely nice. Just the price was a bit of an unpleasant surprise and felt, well, a bit like a rip off.

16/06/2026: The atmosphere is very pleasant, it seems quite family-friendly, the carbonara is absolutely incredible, I highly recommend it (I ate it almost every day I was in Rome). The service is great, the owner handles everything from customer service to deliveries, haha, he's very friendly! I highly recommend it!

12/08/2026: We went there for dinner last night; a very cozy atmosphere! There are absolutely no downsides; the only thing was that the waiter doesn't speak English and we holidaymakers don't speak Italian. But that doesn't matter, we manage just fine! He is a very friendly young man, by the way! And there was also an older gentleman, I think the owner, who helped us out perfectly despite our language barrier and is also very nice! We had a delicious meal too! It is a fantastic place and we are definitely going again tonight!

18/05/2026: I went to the beach. A sun lounger was 8 euros, an umbrella 10. It was fine. The beach was dirty, with a lot of trash on the shore. I went into the water, and the first 20 meters were covered in sharp rocks and strange objects. Swimming was definitely not recommended. They didn't let us choose a spot; we were told where to settle ourselves.

22/12/2025: Very welcoming atmosphere and vibes. The staff is very friendly, especially Kaleth, and very professional and relaxed. The food is delicious and seems to come from Eden, and the cocktails are fabulous.

16/08/2026: We went for dinner on Sunday. There were two of us. As an appetizer, we ordered a mixed fried fish dish. The potatoes were raw and black. The gluten-free pizza was tough and difficult to cut, while the regular one tasted quite good. The service was a bit sloppy when it came to ordering, not specifying or explaining what was included in the dish.

12/07/2026: If I could give less than one star, I would have gladly done so. The guys in the dining room do everything except watch the tables and be attentive. Despite having asked for my order three times, it arrived wrong. Embarrassing service. A table of three people in a practically empty restaurant was left without food. They didn't even know why, in their opinion, the dish needed more time to prepare than the others, so they decided to leave me without dinner. I had ordered a tartare, the other two people ordered two cooked dishes, and I left without eating. At the end, when I pointed this out, the owner intervened in a very awkward manner and, instead of resolving the situation, claimed that the tartare was a dish that took longer to prepare than meatballs and a hamburger. It took about 55 minutes to wait for all of this. It's a shame because restaurants, or rather, those who know how to do this job, should have opportunities, not people who absolutely don't even know what this job is. Terrible. Flies all over me the whole dinner. Never again.

12/07/2026: The staff is slow and inattentive to customers. You can't seat people and then, after 10 minutes, tell them the kitchen is closed and make them leave without eating.

05/07/2026: I used to stop here often for the excellent coffee (Illy) and the delicious pastries! Now they've changed the staff and have lost a lot of money. The pastries are still good, but the coffee is truly awful (still Illy).

24/07/2026: The restaurant is well located and offers a pleasant setting. However, the service is lacking, and the food is nothing special. The pasta with tuna ragu was made with canned tuna… The menu wasn't up to date, we had to wait over fifteen minutes and even ask to order wine ourselves, even though the restaurant was practically empty.

22/07/2026: Simple seafood cuisine, rustic but well-prepared. You can arrive directly by dinghy or rented boat. Book well in advance to secure the best spots. Without a reservation, you can leave your name on the list, they'll call you, and only then can you approach by boat or from Cala Feola beach!

12/11/2025: Terrible experience, not recommended! We stopped here after visiting the Colosseum, feeling tired and hungry, and decided to give this place a try — what a mistake. No one came to take our order for a long time, and when they finally did, we had to wait ages for our food. Two other groups who arrived after us were served and even finished their meals before ours arrived. When we asked the waitress about our order, she seemed irritated that we didn’t speak Italian and told us it would be ready “in two minutes.” When the food finally came, it was awful. The pasta with mushrooms had thick, undercooked pieces of meat, and even the pasta itself was half raw. Absolutely not recommended — save your time, money, and nerves!

14/06/2026: Tasty, but the main course arrived while we were still eating our starters. One person had to ask twice afterwards to receive his main course because his plate had to go to the kitchen just as he was still eating his starter. Bizarre. Unacceptable. Ruined the whole evening. The quality was good. The fish of the day was very tasty. The service was friendly, but unfortunately this timing was terrible and unprofessional.

13/06/2026: After a full day wandering the sun-drenched streets of Rome — hot, dusty, and pleasantly exhausted — we stumbled upon a charming little outdoor bar tucked just off the main path. The moment we saw it, we knew we’d found our oasis. The staff welcomed us with warm smiles and immediately guided us to a shady table. Before we could even catch our breath, they brought over tall glasses of ice-cold water. Then came the star of the show: two perfectly crafted Aperol Spritzes, vibrant, refreshing, and exactly what we needed. That first sip, under the dappled shade with the gentle buzz of Roman life around us, was pure bliss. Simple, unpretentious, and wonderfully restorative — the kind of unexpected moment that makes a long day in the Eternal City feel magical.
