03/07/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo locale su consiglio di amici. Premesso che dopo il caldo di Roma il fatto che si riuscisse a respirare era sufficiente a dare una super valutazione, ma il ristorante merita molto di più. Innanzitutto é presente anche il menu per chi é intollerante al lattosio o per chi é celiaco, mettono delle graziose bandierine per distinguere le portate senza lattosio o per celiaci al fine di evitare che una volta a tavola si possa far confusione. Siamo stati serviti da Valentino, unico nella sua professionalità ed estremamente gentile e disponibile, ha ispirato a tutti una immediata simpatia, qualità molto rare, abbiamo preso dei deliziosi supplì della casa, consigliati sempre da Valentino e da provare assolutamente, la pizza, anche qui provate quella della casa (pizza vecchia locanda) , e poi i dolci, fatti da loro! Una creme brûlé al pistacchio con pezzettini di cioccolato fondente, mitica, idem il tiramisù, se a tutto questo si aggiunge assenza di rumori della città e prezzi onestissimi, sicuramente torneremo per provare le altre pietanze !

27/06/2025: Ho contattato il ristorante tramite Just Eat ed ho pagato due volte quanto ordinato. Ho contattato il ristorante per il rimborso ed il proprietario è stato molto gentile e disponibile; onesto al punto da dire "non voglio sapere nemmeno cosa è successo, le renderò la cifra spesa". Quanto ordinato era molto buono quindi oltre alla massima disponibilità ed onestà, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Assolutamente consigliato!

24/02/2026: I attended the Alterego evening organized by Emanuele and can say without hesitation that it was a truly extraordinary experience. The organization was one of its strengths: everything ran smoothly, and Emanuele demonstrated great expertise and passion, managing to coordinate every detail with precision and style. The event itself was a true success: a select audience, a positive atmosphere, and an energy that grew throughout the evening until it transformed into pure enthusiasm. The music was simply exceptional, engaging, capable of getting everyone dancing without ever being predictable. The DJ set maintained the highest level throughout. An evening that wasn't just an event, but an experience. Congratulations to Emanuele for creating something so special. I can't wait for the next one! ♥️

09/02/2026: I'm delighted that the company is hosting ALTEREGO, an evening I've been attending for years and which found a splendid and fitting setting here. I was there on Saturday with friends to celebrate a birthday. We took advantage of the dinner + disco option (a rare package for a Roman evening) and no one was disappointed. The dinner, besides being objectively delicious, was very well-curated and enlivened by some INCREDIBLE entertainment. Credit goes to the organization, which, present in the room, takes care of every technical aspect of the event, without ever neglecting the attention or kindness of the guests. The disco portion, which starts around 11:00 PM, offered us an unusual music selection; every single track was remixed by the DJ and not played on streaming platforms. I will definitely be back at the next event. Go guys!!

It was they say, a really good, homely experience, don’t forget to try their tiramisu, made to perfection, in front of you & their dish of the day. My solo, lunch was delicious and an experience etched in my memories for times to come.

11/06/2026: Nowadays it is so hard to find a truly authentic, quiet and really so tasteful restaurant in Rome’s historical center. Evangelista is just that and all that. Everything we had was so delicious, beautifully prepared and served. Unfussy, just classy old school Italian historical establishment.

06/05/2026: An extraordinary experience in a historic, elegant venue, filled with, among other things, great works of art (Sughi, Chagall, De Chirico, Tofano). With professionalism, refined taste, and elegance, the owner guided us through the selection of highly refined dishes made with the highest-quality ingredients. The artichokes baked in a brick oven and the vignarola (a kind of tomato sauce) are particularly noteworthy...and everything else, right down to the extraordinary desserts! Bravo!

12/03/2026: The place is really cute and cozy, located just steps from the Colosseum, making it perfect for a break during a sightseeing tour. I ordered a classic supplì and a carbonara one, both very good and well-fried. For dessert, I chose the tiramisu, which turned out to be truly excellent. Unfortunately, the pasta was a complete FAIL. When it was served, I immediately expressed my discomfort, asking if it was really the right dish. Unfortunately, it was, so I politely asked to take away the dish, which was practically "untouched." The pasta was overcooked, and the guanciale was cooked directly in the sauce, giving it a flavor similar to stewed meat. Furthermore, the tomato sauce was very runny, whereas one would expect a thick, full-bodied consistency. What's called "amatriciana" here simply can't be called that; they should rename it "pasta with sauce and guanciale." Truly, very unpleasant to the palate. Finally, when it came to the bill, there was no discount, as I expected, and at least a "sorry" from the staff would have been appropriate. In short, I will NEVER go back!

16/06/2026: The atmosphere is very pleasant, it seems quite family-friendly, the carbonara is absolutely incredible, I highly recommend it (I ate it almost every day I was in Rome). The service is great, the owner handles everything from customer service to deliveries, haha, he's very friendly! I highly recommend it!

25/08/2026: The welcome was anything but warm, and during dinner, even a simple request for another cutlet for my niece was met with very rudeness. By 9:55 PM, we had already paid, so it certainly wasn't a late request. Even asking for breakfast at 7:30 AM provoked a clear annoyance from the owner. The room was clean but simple, with no air conditioning, uncomfortable mattresses, and a lot of noise from the bar below. Positive note: excellent breakfast, with homemade desserts. It's a shame about the lack of welcome and manners: a truly forgettable stay.

25/08/2026: A stay to forget! After booking at Cantinone, I called to inform them that there would be an extra child. A very kind gentleman answered, simply asking for the breakfast supplement. We arrived at 8:00 PM, a group of five (2 adults and 3 children) and asked for dinner, as previously agreed upon over the phone. Unfortunately, however, we didn't find the same level of hospitality or enthusiasm in welcoming us. We ordered our dishes, and once we'd finished the cutlet, my niece asked for another, especially since they were actually mini cutlets. The owner (very sour) and, in a manner I found very rude, told me she had already turned off the fryer. I suggested she use a frying pan, and she replied that she had also turned off the gas and would have to turn it back on, but that she would have cooked the cutlet anyway. I want to clarify that this was absolutely not a late request: by 9:55 PM, we had already paid and were given a preliminary bill (not a receipt, as required by law), which I'm attaching to this review. This clearly shows that we had arrived early, started dinner early, and had already finished dinner by 9:55 PM. Before going up to our room, I asked if it was possible to have breakfast at 7:30 AM, as we had to visit the local parks the following day. While the gentleman was saying yes, the lady, loudly and in front of us, kept repeating to her husband, "7:30, 7:30!!!" This attitude I found truly unprofessional and left us very perplexed. The lady may have all the problems in the world, but such behavior is inexcusable! The accommodation is simple and clean, but unfortunately, there is no air conditioning and the mattresses are very uncomfortable: we woke up completely exhausted. However, this was truly the least of our problems. During the night, we heard a lot of noise coming from the bar downstairs. I must say, however, that breakfast was very good, especially the homemade desserts. It's a shame, because I believe that with a warmer welcome, kinder manners, and greater attention to guests, the experience could have been completely different. You can tell the difference between people who work with passion and those who aren't even fit to hoe the land! I should add that the outside area where we dined smelled of animal excrement.
