23/06/2026: Last week my boyfriend and I went to dinner at this restaurant, on the recommendation of my parents who had been there three years ago (alas, things have changed a lot since then). I understand that the prices are a little higher than other restaurants because the sea view is beautiful and you pay for it but at least I expect to eat decently if I pay 18 euros for a dish. I give two stars for the simple fact that the pizza was good but in our opinion only that unfortunately. The spaghetti with clams had lots of clams but was tasteless, although this is not the worst part. There was sand and the pasta was inedible because I believe that simple things are sometimes the best. There is no need to add butter or anything else to make an excellent spaghetti with clams. For an appetizer we had fried calamari that were not calamari. My boyfriend is a fishmonger so he immediately recognized the defrosted squid rings, giant to add volume and super chewy (18 €). Given the competition of the place regarding fish, I did not expect to eat something like this since just the day before I had eaten an excellent one by the sea nearby. We also had a supplì, which was very well-fried, but unfortunately the mozzarella wasn't stringy. For another appetizer, we had a trio of fish balls, served immediately after ordering and reheated. They weren't crunchy, but the accompanying sauce was good. If I'm writing this review, even though we're not used to writing negative ones, it's for the spaghetti. Otherwise, I wouldn't have said anything. Mistakes can happen in the kitchen, but when it comes to the bill, you have to be good at fixing them and making customers want to return and give the place another chance. The waitress (or owner) realized something was wrong because I left ALL the pasta (and ate some clams, since I only had a bit of pizza and an appetizer that didn't satisfy me). I was honest, not specifying that the pasta wasn't the only problem, and she said, "Should I remake it for you? At least get some fried food so you can eat something." I refused because it's one thing to remake pasta if it's salty, and another to remake it when you're not capable. I expected at least a discount on the bill (the minimum was three euros to even out the bill), but instead they charged me the full price of the spaghetti as well... if I had remade the spaghetti, would they have charged me two? €73 (€40 for a totally unsatisfying dinner). I'm sorry because we came as a test to celebrate a birthday, but we won't be back... we don't want to make a fool of ourselves.

25/05/2026: Charming outdoor restaurant on a narrow, cobbled street. Seafood salad and grilled calamari were particularly good and servers were excellent.

07/07/2026: A welcoming and truly original atmosphere...all the food is freshly made, perfect for a quick lunch or a relaxing aperitif.

30/05/2026: Beautiful location, and an excellent restaurant for dining by the sea. Simple but delicious cuisine, with solid seafood and meat alternatives. Excellent wine, service, and location.

18/05/2026: I went to the beach. A sun lounger was 8 euros, an umbrella 10. It was fine. The beach was dirty, with a lot of trash on the shore. I went into the water, and the first 20 meters were covered in sharp rocks and strange objects. Swimming was definitely not recommended. They didn't let us choose a spot; we were told where to settle ourselves.

19/02/2026: Big, spacious place with lots of tables. Delicious pizzas and salads (I don't know the rest because I crave them every time I come here!)

02/05/2026: We went to this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a truly pleasant experience. The location is beautiful and welcoming, with a refined and well-decorated atmosphere. The service was attentive and precise, yet informal and friendly. The owner was particularly friendly and welcoming, helping to create an even more pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent, with high-quality ingredients and well-crafted dishes. Highly recommended!

27/04/2026: Family-run. The unique dining room and furnishings add something special. The service was friendly and attentive, even accommodating small special requests without any problem. The products are good, in line with expectations, and the bill is fair for what's on offer. Worth a try.

28/07/2026: A good place for seafood lovers; you can try everything here. The pizza was tasty, but not the best and lacking any wow factor. The prices are affordable: pizzas range from €8-€12, while seafood dishes are more expensive at €15+. The service is good, but you won't be greeted with a smile if you come in; they'll just wait on you. Service costs €2. I recommend this place for seafood. Regarding dessert, we ordered teramisu, but it was frozen (not ice cream). I wouldn't recommend it for dessert.

21/07/2026: The best restaurant in the area!!!!! The food is amazing; it's like a dream, the seafood and pizza are amazing!!!! And the mussels were the sensation of the evening! As for the owner of the place, I can only say this, a great MAN!!!! Thank you very much for a true Italian culinary evening! ❤️❤️❤️

12/03/2026: The place is really cute and cozy, located just steps from the Colosseum, making it perfect for a break during a sightseeing tour. I ordered a classic supplì and a carbonara one, both very good and well-fried. For dessert, I chose the tiramisu, which turned out to be truly excellent. Unfortunately, the pasta was a complete FAIL. When it was served, I immediately expressed my discomfort, asking if it was really the right dish. Unfortunately, it was, so I politely asked to take away the dish, which was practically "untouched." The pasta was overcooked, and the guanciale was cooked directly in the sauce, giving it a flavor similar to stewed meat. Furthermore, the tomato sauce was very runny, whereas one would expect a thick, full-bodied consistency. What's called "amatriciana" here simply can't be called that; they should rename it "pasta with sauce and guanciale." Truly, very unpleasant to the palate. Finally, when it came to the bill, there was no discount, as I expected, and at least a "sorry" from the staff would have been appropriate. In short, I will NEVER go back!

03/07/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo locale su consiglio di amici. Premesso che dopo il caldo di Roma il fatto che si riuscisse a respirare era sufficiente a dare una super valutazione, ma il ristorante merita molto di più. Innanzitutto é presente anche il menu per chi é intollerante al lattosio o per chi é celiaco, mettono delle graziose bandierine per distinguere le portate senza lattosio o per celiaci al fine di evitare che una volta a tavola si possa far confusione. Siamo stati serviti da Valentino, unico nella sua professionalità ed estremamente gentile e disponibile, ha ispirato a tutti una immediata simpatia, qualità molto rare, abbiamo preso dei deliziosi supplì della casa, consigliati sempre da Valentino e da provare assolutamente, la pizza, anche qui provate quella della casa (pizza vecchia locanda) , e poi i dolci, fatti da loro! Una creme brûlé al pistacchio con pezzettini di cioccolato fondente, mitica, idem il tiramisù, se a tutto questo si aggiunge assenza di rumori della città e prezzi onestissimi, sicuramente torneremo per provare le altre pietanze !

27/06/2025: Ho contattato il ristorante tramite Just Eat ed ho pagato due volte quanto ordinato. Ho contattato il ristorante per il rimborso ed il proprietario è stato molto gentile e disponibile; onesto al punto da dire "non voglio sapere nemmeno cosa è successo, le renderò la cifra spesa". Quanto ordinato era molto buono quindi oltre alla massima disponibilità ed onestà, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Assolutamente consigliato!

07/05/2026: Sitting in the square offers a relaxed and spacious atmosphere. The waiters are attentive. We had carbonara, it was good. The cheese platter and wine were also good. We paid €53 per person.

11/07/2026: The place is nice, too bad that when we ordered the wine, a woman came in, I presume French, who was chewing gum and when she removed the cork from the bottle, it crumbled and she blew/spat on the neck to get rid of the crumbs that still fell into the glass, I was shocked and asked her what she was doing and she calmly told me that it's normal, a little condensation, a little cork, my husband didn't want to raise an issue but I found it inconceivable that she would spit in the bottle as if nothing had happened, the sommelier failed and made us pay 10 euros for the glass of wine spat out

05/07/2026: Restaurant with a terrace overlooking the beautiful view of Cala Rossano and the new port. Friendly and helpful staff. Varied menu, primarily seafood. Both the tuna tartare and eggplant parmigiana are excellent. The mezzé paccheri are also good. The babà is good but not amazing (though light). Highly recommended, whether for couples or with friends. We'll definitely be back. 2026 Update: Must try the swordfish in porchetta and the cod with black garlic. The cats are adorable!

09/06/2026: A welcoming, historic venue with friendly staff and sublime cuisine. I can honestly say I ate the best spaghetti with clams of my life. I'll definitely be back.

09/06/2026: It was a lovely place. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. We had pizza, which was average in terms of taste, but our overall experience was positive. The atmosphere was pleasant, and it’s a nice place to spend some time.

11/06/2026: Nowadays it is so hard to find a truly authentic, quiet and really so tasteful restaurant in Rome’s historical center. Evangelista is just that and all that. Everything we had was so delicious, beautifully prepared and served. Unfussy, just classy old school Italian historical establishment.

06/05/2026: An extraordinary experience in a historic, elegant venue, filled with, among other things, great works of art (Sughi, Chagall, De Chirico, Tofano). With professionalism, refined taste, and elegance, the owner guided us through the selection of highly refined dishes made with the highest-quality ingredients. The artichokes baked in a brick oven and the vignarola (a kind of tomato sauce) are particularly noteworthy...and everything else, right down to the extraordinary desserts! Bravo!
