19/03/2026: The place is very nice and the food is quite good. However, the main course arrived completely wrong for the entire table, clearly the fault of the person who took the order, with no intention of correcting it. In my opinion, the service was terrible and even very rude. We were very loyal customers, but after this mistake, I don't think we'll be back.

08/01/2026: Our first taste of Rome’s espresso & ice cream magic: Terrazza Ciampini – coffee, gelato & Roman atmosphere at its best As tourists visiting Rome for only a week, we were looking for places that could give us an authentic taste of the city – and Terrazza Ciampini delivered far beyond expectations. It became our very first unforgettable experience with authentic Roman coffee and Italian ice cream, and we loved every minute of it. The location is simply perfect. After a walk through the beautiful Villa Borghese Park, one of Rome’s most impressive green spaces -filled with trees, paths, fountains, and a peaceful, classic Roman atmosphere-, we reached the elegant surroundings of Villa Medici. The café sits right in this charming zone. The terrace itself offers a refined yet relaxed environment. The service was exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming. The staff treated us with genuine warmth, making us feel comfortable even though we were first-time visitors and did not speak Italian. The caffè doppio was outstanding – rich, aromatic, and perfectly prepared. It was our introduction to Rome’s coffee culture, and we could not have asked for a better first impression. And then came the gelato. The menu describes it beautifully: “… ice cream is like a perfume. Everyone has his own. Mine has all the flaws of a homemade ice cream.” This sentence perfectly reflects the experience – artisanal, real, slightly imperfect in the best way, and absolutely delicious. The texture was creamy, the flavours were natural, and it felt like a handcrafted masterpiece rather than a commercial dessert. The ice cream alone is worth the visit. If you want great coffee, incredible gelato, and a beautiful setting surrounded by one of Rome’s best parks and piazzas, this is the place—a classy Roman pause in the middle of sightseeing – peaceful, scenic, and memorable. Highly recommended. A first excellent taste of Rome we will never forget.

14/11/2025: A very pretty setting. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is closed outside of the summer season, however, you can definitely stop by for an ice cream on the terrace any time of year.

05/02/2026: A very disappointing experience. We wanted to have tea time, but we emailed in advance to inquire about the price and what the service and/or experience included (€25 per person). Once seated, we were confirmed with the tea package and its price and asked if we'd like water, but there was no menu at the table to see prices and/or extras. We were served a few savory dishes and then had to choose some desserts from the trolley, which were then served to us. For tea, we were only served a small cup of hot water, which barely filled the (small) teacup. When it came time to pay the bill, I discovered that the pre-bill was €63, which included €8 for a bottle of water (well over the cost of the tea time package) and, in addition, €5 for an unspecified "optional" service. In short, how to transform the desire to indulge into a disappointing experience and a mockery of customers.

23/08/2025: Customer service is definitely Blanka's top priority. We asked what type of gin they had and were introduced to us at the table in a professional yet informal manner. I'd add that the gin selection is EXCELLENT. Antony took great care of us. They promptly closed the awnings for us as soon as the wind picked up. We ordered a tasting appetizer, a fried fish dish, and a gnocchi with scampi cream. I can honestly say it's been a while since I've eaten such good fish. We felt truly pampered. 100% recommended

24/02/2026: I attended the Alterego evening organized by Emanuele and can say without hesitation that it was a truly extraordinary experience. The organization was one of its strengths: everything ran smoothly, and Emanuele demonstrated great expertise and passion, managing to coordinate every detail with precision and style. The event itself was a true success: a select audience, a positive atmosphere, and an energy that grew throughout the evening until it transformed into pure enthusiasm. The music was simply exceptional, engaging, capable of getting everyone dancing without ever being predictable. The DJ set maintained the highest level throughout. An evening that wasn't just an event, but an experience. Congratulations to Emanuele for creating something so special. I can't wait for the next one! ♥️

09/02/2026: I'm delighted that the company is hosting ALTEREGO, an evening I've been attending for years and which found a splendid and fitting setting here. I was there on Saturday with friends to celebrate a birthday. We took advantage of the dinner + disco option (a rare package for a Roman evening) and no one was disappointed. The dinner, besides being objectively delicious, was very well-curated and enlivened by some INCREDIBLE entertainment. Credit goes to the organization, which, present in the room, takes care of every technical aspect of the event, without ever neglecting the attention or kindness of the guests. The disco portion, which starts around 11:00 PM, offered us an unusual music selection; every single track was remixed by the DJ and not played on streaming platforms. I will definitely be back at the next event. Go guys!!

14/03/2026: I arrived with high expectations given the online reviews. The menu offers maybe two vegetarian dishes (when you write "vegetarian options," you expect a wider selection), but the staff is willing to vary the recipes by removing the meat or fish components. I'm only talking about my two dishes: supplì (rice balls), I've had better ones—the rice was overcooked inside and the crust wasn't crispy at all, and the fried artichokes were rubbery and flavorless. I paid €28 and only drank water. (My friends also ordered a first course each, splitting a portion of fried artichokes, and drank water.) Wonderful view, friendly service, but questionable food quality and an outrageous price. For tourists.

31/03/2026: Stayed for the Rome Ostia Half Marathon. Also used by elite athletes. Strategic location in the EUR district. Comfortable room, but issues with the heating (difficult to adjust) and the bathroom (the shower was in the bathtub; the doors didn't cover enough space to prevent water from spilling out of the tub and getting wet on the floor; the entire room filled with damp after a short shower). Good breakfast.

03/07/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo locale su consiglio di amici. Premesso che dopo il caldo di Roma il fatto che si riuscisse a respirare era sufficiente a dare una super valutazione, ma il ristorante merita molto di più. Innanzitutto é presente anche il menu per chi é intollerante al lattosio o per chi é celiaco, mettono delle graziose bandierine per distinguere le portate senza lattosio o per celiaci al fine di evitare che una volta a tavola si possa far confusione. Siamo stati serviti da Valentino, unico nella sua professionalità ed estremamente gentile e disponibile, ha ispirato a tutti una immediata simpatia, qualità molto rare, abbiamo preso dei deliziosi supplì della casa, consigliati sempre da Valentino e da provare assolutamente, la pizza, anche qui provate quella della casa (pizza vecchia locanda) , e poi i dolci, fatti da loro! Una creme brûlé al pistacchio con pezzettini di cioccolato fondente, mitica, idem il tiramisù, se a tutto questo si aggiunge assenza di rumori della città e prezzi onestissimi, sicuramente torneremo per provare le altre pietanze !

27/06/2025: Ho contattato il ristorante tramite Just Eat ed ho pagato due volte quanto ordinato. Ho contattato il ristorante per il rimborso ed il proprietario è stato molto gentile e disponibile; onesto al punto da dire "non voglio sapere nemmeno cosa è successo, le renderò la cifra spesa". Quanto ordinato era molto buono quindi oltre alla massima disponibilità ed onestà, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Assolutamente consigliato!

12/03/2026: The place is really cute and cozy, located just steps from the Colosseum, making it perfect for a break during a sightseeing tour. I ordered a classic supplì and a carbonara one, both very good and well-fried. For dessert, I chose the tiramisu, which turned out to be truly excellent. Unfortunately, the pasta was a complete FAIL. When it was served, I immediately expressed my discomfort, asking if it was really the right dish. Unfortunately, it was, so I politely asked to take away the dish, which was practically "untouched." The pasta was overcooked, and the guanciale was cooked directly in the sauce, giving it a flavor similar to stewed meat. Furthermore, the tomato sauce was very runny, whereas one would expect a thick, full-bodied consistency. What's called "amatriciana" here simply can't be called that; they should rename it "pasta with sauce and guanciale." Truly, very unpleasant to the palate. Finally, when it came to the bill, there was no discount, as I expected, and at least a "sorry" from the staff would have been appropriate. In short, I will NEVER go back!

18/01/2026: The first course was very salty, cold, the fish was inedible and there was very little of it. No one liked the pizza. They had the orders mixed up for the tagliata. Those who wanted it well done were served cold because they were eating the first course. The only positive note was that the owner didn't charge for the first course, apologizing for what had happened. However, the price was too high for what we ate. We basically went home to have a spaghetti dinner.

06/01/2026: With the dining room practically empty, it took them an hour and a half to serve three appetizers and three pizzas. The cold cuts for the appetizer weren't good, and the dining room was cold. The bill was reasonable, just under €70 for three, but even the pizza was, at best, unremarkable. I won't be returning.

10/03/2026: The staff were friendly and helpful, and the mini pastries (which I bought on that very occasion) were truly delicious. Highly recommended
