03/02/2026: We had a dinner reservation and arrived about 15 minutes early. We were asked to wait in the waiting room, which was fine, but what felt odd was that no one spoke to us, offered water, or acknowledged us at all until exactly 6:45 on the dot, when we were then escorted to our table. During that wait, we could clearly hear a senior staff member from the hotel on the phone discussing a guest complaint about housekeeping allegedly stealing or mishandling something. Not ideal to overhear as a guest, and it added to the slightly awkward first impression. Once seated in the restaurant, things improved. The service during dinner was good and and the mocktails were genuinely very tasty. The food itself was good and nicely presented, but not everything really stood out or surprised us. Small but notable detail: the lock on the women’s toilet is almost impossible to use if you have medium or long nails. Not a huge issue on its own but one of those things that adds a little extra friction to the overall experience. It was a fine experience, but slightly underwhelming. Good service at the table and solid dishes, but the hospitality didn’t fully live up to expectations. Probably a one time visit for us.

01/02/2026: A complete restaurant in every way. An enchanting location, an elegant and refined atmosphere, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. The food is simply stellar: dishes crafted with great care and passion, offering the palate an authentic and memorable experience. But what truly makes this restaurant special is the human touch: a friendly, attentive, and sincere staff, and a chef who makes you feel at home, with a rare warmth, almost as if he's known you forever. A place that conquers the heart as well as the palate.

13/02/2026: A welcoming, experienced bartender offers drinks, excellent wines, excellent beers, sandwiches, and pasta dishes. On Sunday mornings, they serve delicious, fresh mini pastries, both at the counter and to take home. It doesn't have large dining rooms, but it does offer seating for 16 inside and 10 outside in the smoking area. It also has a sofa and a friendly, helpful staff. The bathroom is accessible, but the steps from the street are not. It also has public parking with a parking disc. I recommend it to everyone.

12/03/2026: Historic restaurant in Appio Latino. Friendly service, but the pizza is forgettable: the crust is too hard, almost like flaky pastry. The fried foods are good.

24/02/2026: A historic local spot for excellent Roman-style pizza. The outside service is a bit spartan, but the prices, fortunately still very affordable, justify this. I recommend making a reservation on weekends or be prepared for a long wait.

28/02/2026: AVOID. Takeout pizza, capricciosa with double mozzarella. The base isn't the usual portion of rolled out and worked dough, but a ready-made disc. In the center are 2 olives, 1 artichoke, 2-3 mushrooms, the rest EMPTY, a Margherita. On the side, 1 (ONE) slice of ham and a hard-boiled egg. We're tourists, passing through; the better you trick them, the better. At least let's help each other avoid the worst jokes.

31/08/2025: A good place for dinner, with a good atmosphere and music suitable for dinner with family, friends, or a couple. I had a sirloin steak for dinner, and the truth is, it was very juicy and cooked to perfection, just as I ordered.

01/02/2026: Non-existent table service, a half-hour wait in a half-empty restaurant just to clear the table occupied by previous customers, an hour-long wait to place the order. The fruit juice arrived in a supermarket cardboard box and without a cup. The staff was slow and unresponsive, completely disorganized. Takeout only is recommended. It's a shame because it would be a really nice place if the service was good.

15/01/2026: A beautiful area, part of an attractive park that is a major attraction in Rome, the capital of Italy, and one of the city's landmarks. A wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant has a convenient location. The restaurant offers: excellent and affordable food, as well as refreshing and inexpensive drinks. The staff is friendly, especially to tourists, and quick. I think that when visiting the park, it's worth stopping here to take a break from exploring the grounds, and also enjoy a delicious meal and a good drink. ;) I recommend it!

20/02/2026: I've rarely been treated so poorly in a restaurant. The food wasn't bad. The service was. Plates were slammed, comments (!) were made about uneaten appetizers, and one plate was left standing while clearing dishes. Main courses for different diners were served more than fifteen minutes apart.

29/07/2025: Wonderful visit to Ristorante Cecilia Metella! Family friendly, family run, and homemade family quality. We highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant if you’re in the area, or walk across from the Catacombs di San Sebastien. Cross the road, head to right and up the driveway. The staff were super friendly and fun. I felt like my grandpa was serving us, with his grandpa humour. Couldn’t stop laughing at his grandpa jokes. The food was amazing. I feel like this was my most authentic Italian pasta and cuisine during our stay at Rome. We ate outside on the their terrace. There were lots of tables and couod get quite busy. However, our visit was just right in terms of noise from other tables. No need to shout, but still enjoyed the energy of the restaurant with families and friends enjoying lunch out on a Sunday.

02/06/2025: Probably the best dinner we've ever had! We celebrated a couple anniversary in May. Very suprised by the amazing quality, freshness and textures of the food. The ambiance is like from fairytale - exterior and interior. We combined both. The service was impeccable - always present but not too intrusive. We had very nice, cozy talks, guys were just super polite and friendly, class. The Chef even proposed us wine for dessert and some suprise as a second dessert. After eating at NUMEROUS Michelin star restaurants, I must say this experience overcame them all not only relatively for the affordability but overally. Grazie Grazie Grazie !

11/03/2026: Good evening, We are a group of students who dined at this "restaurant" two nights in a row. The food was poor: when they served the pasta, it was overcooked, and we suspect it had been reheated several times. It took us two nights to determine whether it was amatriciana, because it was topped with sauce and ham that were not suitable for this dish. The first night, the second course was a chicken leg and potatoes. Many of the girls found hair on it; the potatoes were edible. The second day, they served us one piece of lasagna each, which was overcooked. For the second course, meatballs and peas. The meatballs were unsightly, and the peas were unseasoned. The waiters were very rude and inappropriate, and didn't even pay attention to the intolerances we had reported. The space was cramped (there were 95 of us), and we couldn't get through. We were forced by the agency to go to this place, but unfortunately, there are people who go there voluntarily. We didn't like anything and will definitely never return.

10/03/2026: We are a school group who had the opportunity to try the food at this "restaurant" for two nights. The experience was disastrous, if not terrifying: terrible, undercooked food, which caused various nausea and other symptoms for us kids. The staff was rude and unfriendly, and the place was quite dirty. We found dirty dishes, but not only that... Unacceptable, truly unacceptable! Don't come here unless you want to spend a sleepless night.

01/03/2026: A small, cozy, and quiet place. The food is excellent, with top-quality meat. Two of us showed up without a reservation, along with a small dog, and they found us a table right away after a few other rejections at more popular places. A fast, cheerful young man waits at the tables; we could have stayed until the evening. Our compliments!
