20/07/2025: Yesterday my family and I went to a restaurant. The day before, I called the restaurant to reserve a table for six people. I arrived and discovered they hadn't listed us. Luckily, they fixed the problem. Then, when we ordered, I asked for a pizza without melted mozzarella on it because I can't eat it due to personal issues. And guess what? There was mozzarella when I specifically asked for it.

12/07/2025: Este lugar no vale la pena en muchos sentidos. Es muy caro y muy elegante para una comida extremadamente mediocre. El servicio fue muy extraño, había alrededor de 6 camareros apiñados en un comedor extremadamente pequeño simplemente mirando hacia nuestra mesa todo el tiempo que estuvimos comiendo. Uno de los camareros principales no dejaba de reprender a otro camarero que estaba delante de nuestra mesa y era extremadamente incómodo. La comida era demasiado cara como nunca antes había visto, y no valía la pena en absoluto (mi pasta también llegó muy fría). Nos pareció que fuimos muy mal recibidos y que nos estaban apresurando completamente durante toda nuestra comida. La mesa de al lado tuvo que despedir a un camarero 3 veces diferentes en un lapso de 8 minutos porque seguía intentando retirar platos que estaban llenos de comida y en los que todavía estaban trabajando. ¿También hablaban de nosotros delante de nosotros pensando que no podíamos oírlos? Algunos de nuestro grupo hablaban Español y otros hablaban Inglés y los camareros hacían comentarios como «por qué esta chica sigue hablando Español», lo cual era increíblemente extraño. 2 camareros también irrumpieron en el baño de mi amiga y de mí mientras nos lavábamos las manos y nos volvíamos a aplicar el brillo de labios para ver literalmente lo que estábamos haciendo. Entraron corriendo, nos miraron fijamente desde los lavabos, se dieron la vuelta, salieron y esperaron en el pasillo. No podría haber sido más raro y, honestamente, me alegro de que nos apuraran porque no podía ESPERAR a irme.

17/07/2025: Ich war für 2 Monate von Mai bis Juli 2025 in Rom und habe in dieser Zeit im Stadtteil Portuense gewohnt. Das La Ruota ist für mich und meine Freundin schon so eine Art Stammlokal geworden, in welchem wir uns von Anfang an sehr gut aufgenommen und wohl gefühlt haben. Es gibt einen großen Innenbereich und einen - für römische Verhältnisse - gut gelegenen Außenbereich, der zum Gehweg abgegrenzt ist. Das Personal und der Inhaber sind sehr angenehme und zuvorkommende Menschen, das Essen ist gut, ebenso der Hauswein und die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung. Besucht wird das Lokal vor allem von Einheimischen aus der Umgegend, dabei auch viele Familien. Das bedingt natürlich auch, das nicht selten spielende Kinder drinnen oder im Außenbereich hin und her rennen, das ist hier so.

05/07/2025: The place is a bit out of fashion but what else can I say? The food is good, the service is by expert waiters who know how to do their job well. I have always eaten well and never had any problems, the Roman low pizza is delicious, the first and second courses are the same.

27/10/2024: Excellent food, the owner and the waitress are kind, helpful and very professional people... very welcoming and well-kept place, I was able to bring my Pitbull dog and I will never stop being grateful for this possibility which is almost always rejected by other restaurants... thanks again for the final surprise for my birthday

15/10/2024: Really nice place, both for the summer with a well-kept outdoor environment in a not bad garden, and in the winter with an internal area that is not particularly large (so I recommend booking) but refined and well-kept. Wide selection of meats, sandwiches and beers. We ventured on sandwiches and appetizers that were not bad, and very original too! The very kind owner guided us for the best choice of food and beers... very prepared 👏🏼! Costs aren't exactly low, but for the quality of the food it's okay. We will be back for the meat 😎

26/07/2025: I'll be very brief. The staff needs a complete overhaul (except for the blonde lady, who was super nice and friendly). They're unfriendly and not at all kind to the customers. They rush to order because the kitchen closes (we arrived at 9:15 PM). Poor quality food, and even worse cooking. It's a typical tourist restaurant frequented by people who know nothing about seafood and restaurants. You'll find MUCH better in Gaeta. Absolutely to be avoided; we'll never go back.

25/07/2025: Recommended by friends. Restaurant in the center of Gaeta. We had a wonderful meal. The price was very fair. My wife and I shared an appetizer (mussel soup), a first course (fisherman's risotto), and a second course (small octopus), all mouth-wateringly delicious. Impeccable service.

23/07/2025: We visited here on a quiet evening and found the atmosphere welcoming and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a good meal. The linguine was wonderful. Cooked to perfection, full of flavor. We didn't want it to end. A big thank you to waiter Michele, who was always kind, smiling, and attentive, making everything even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back.

12/07/2025: We return to this restaurant every year and are always very satisfied. The staff is helpful and welcoming, the food is excellent, and so is the location overlooking the sea.

19/07/2025: Everything is delicious from Natalino and his wife, who passionately cook simple dishes with genuine, local ingredients, and above all, at fair prices. The owners are helpful, friendly, and welcoming...and their dogs are friendly to children. Recommended for a day trip.

02/05/2025: Natalino and Caterina, super kind and helpful owners. We had a problem and arrived at 10.30pm instead of the 9pm booking time. Even though we were the only customers at dinner, they waited for us and cooked much appreciated homemade dishes for us. Very nice place to park your camper, free but no services.

24/06/2025: Excellent quality meat, no doubt. Too bad for the total lack of transparency on the weight. They made me pay for a steak for 500g when it would have been 200/300g at most. The worst thing? They denied my request to see the weighing. Unacceptable. They lost a customer who had been coming for years.
