29/07/2025: Siamo ritornati dopo anni in questo ristorante e devo dire che è sempre convincente! Bella atmosfera anche all’aperto, molto soft, molto “calda”. Ottimi gli antipasti in particolare modo il tortino di melanzane, speciale la carne sia i filetti che la tagliata. Squisiti i dolci. Servizio molto professionale e gentile.

04/09/2025: We were staying nearby, so we decided to go to this restaurant that evening. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. For an appetizer, we ordered a meat and vegetable platter (terrible, totally not worth €13; you get two types of the cheapest mortadella ham and some vegetables). Only the bruschetta for €3 was worth it and quite tasty. For the main course, we ordered two pasta dishes. I can honestly say it was the worst spaghetti Bolognese I've ever had; it tasted like some cheap supermarket pre-made product. Not to mention the bread, which no one asked for, no one wanted, no one ate, and they charged us an extra €4. I should also add that we were served by a guy in tracksuits who was clearly bothered by us, while the rest of the well-dressed waiters sat inside doing nothing. I definitely don't recommend it; there are plenty of tastier and more pleasant places in Rome.

12/04/2025: Ci siamo andati per vedere la partita della Roma, il locale era pienissimo e già questo è un buon segno. Servizio giovane e frizzante. Abbiamo mangiato sia primi che pizza che antipasti, tutto molto buono e con prezzi moderati soprattutto con l'offerta thefork. Lo consigliamo.

15/07/2025: I stopped for dinner this evening. I come here often because finding a good seafood restaurant, being lucky enough to be able to walk there, is not easy at all. As usual, it never disappoints. Very good food at fair prices. What more could you ask for? The staff is very kind and knowledgeable, always very attentive. And the chef is excellent. He cooks really well, and that's a must. Congratulations!

13/07/2025: Food 7. Nice location with an internal garden, but poor service needs addressing. I strongly suggest lighting up your street sign, especially since you're not visible from the street. Add an experienced waiter who can train and coordinate the three young waitresses who don't even know the basics, which is a shame because you'll lose customers. There was a table with wild kids; they should have been reprimanded, and the adults present should have been made aware of this. Advertise online. Good luck.

27/07/2025: Una perla affacciata sul lago! "Ciccio e la Ristogatta" è un ristorante che conquista sin dal primo sguardo grazie alla splendida terrazza panoramica. Ma è solo l’inizio: il servizio è impeccabile, l’accoglienza calorosa, la professionalità e la cortesia sono di casa. La cucina propone piatti deliziosi, leggeri e realizzati con ingredienti genuini, spesso a km 0. Ogni portata riflette cura, equilibrio e rispetto per la materia prima. Un plauso particolare alla proprietaria Daniela, sempre garbata e attenta a ogni dettaglio. Ho avuto il piacere di cenare qui in diverse occasioni, ma la cena del mio matrimonio è stata davvero speciale: ogni invitato ha apprezzato la qualità del cibo, la gentilezza del personale e l’atmosfera accogliente. Un’esperienza che rimarrà nel cuore. Consigliatissimo!

24/07/2025: This restaurant has great food and a lot of it is locally sourced (including the wine, olive oil, ricotta, and wild salad components). We sampled 2 pastas and a main course, as well as dessert. Everything tasted great! The chef's wife was our server and she explained what went into our food in great detail. Highly recommend!

12/09/2025: This place is a gem. Best pizza I’ve ever tasted and I’m a pizza nut. Wafer thin Roman style pizza in Testaccio neighborhood of Rome. The thinnest pizza I've ever had with perfectly smokey charred crispy crust along the tastiest sauce and cheese you could imagine. Margherita pizza is best. Diavola is tastey too. Service is friendly and fast. Mostly locals. Get there close to 7pm opening for quick seating or prepare to wait.

10/09/2025: Good pizza, perhaps the best in Rome. Unfortunately, prices aren't as good as they used to be; they've raised the prices quite a bit.

10/08/2025: Probably the worst meal I ever had in Italy. It offers several precooked options, but the quality is really poor. If you are looking for survival food, better grab a slice of pizza somewhere else.

24/08/2025: What can I say? The dishes we ordered were worth the wait. The mixed fried food served in a crispy, non-greasy cuoppo, the rice ball and pasta frittata were excellent. The first courses were served in a pan, so you could taste all the flavors of the various ingredients. The only flaw, for my taste, was that the pasta was a little undercooked. The girl serving us was quick and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our dishes. I recommend reserving a table since there aren't many.

07/09/2025: My boyfriend and I were there last night. I'll start by saying I'm celiac, and he ate the gluten-free dishes with me. They're very accommodating for celiac disease, which is a plus. For our appetizer, we ordered a typical Gaeta dish: the calamari votipiatto. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients: the small, soft, melt-in-the-mouth calamari, and the crunchy texture provided by the flour (I think rice flour) contributed to the dish's success. We enjoyed it with their homemade gluten-free bread; the texture was more like focaccia, almost spongy, but perfect for eating the small calamari. For our first course, we ordered "il follaro," thick spaghetti with pistachio cream and swordfish. There was a small mistake when ordering because the waitress was about to bring us the dish with gluten, but, unsure, she quickly realized it and fixed it by having the first course prepared gluten-free. We were only informed afterwards that the gluten-free version of this dish doesn't have spaghetti, but pennette, and I think it would be nicer if they'd presented the available gluten-free pasta shapes first. In any case, the pistachio cream is homemade and very balanced, enhancing the flavor of the swordfish. The fish was fresh, flavorful, and tender. For our second course, we ordered the fried cod fillet with hummus. The fish was also fresh, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The frying was very light, and the hummus wasn't particularly impressive in terms of flavor and texture. Overall, a good dish, but I wouldn't order it again simply to make room for other courses that, in our opinion, deserve more. For dessert, we had a vanilla custard garnished with berries, meringues, and a black cherry syrup. It was a pleasant way to end the meal, but I wouldn't have used the syrup, as it overshadowed the delicate flavor of the custard. The service was quite good, despite it being a Saturday night and therefore a bit crowded. We'd especially like to thank Stella (the chef's sister), who was very kind and professional. The final bill, including a couple of glasses of wine, was slightly above average but nothing outrageous, especially considering the quality of the fish, which, based on what we tasted, was quite high. I think we'd also love to return in the future to try the tiella (a typical Gaeta dish), which they obviously also make gluten-free.

05/05/2025: I recently visited this place to enjoy a cocktail and was pleasantly surprised. Even if they don't offer the classic aperitif formula with cocktails and platter, their approach is equally satisfying: together with the drink they serve truly fantastic chips, crunchy and tasty at the right level. The cocktails are excellent, prepared with care and attention to detail, and the price is decidedly competitive. It is the ideal place to spend an afternoon with friends, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I am very curious to try their restaurant too, if the quality of the dishes is up to the level of the cocktails, it will certainly be an experience not to be missed. Highly recommended for lovers of quality cocktails and good company!
