Pizzeria Cucina di mare Marinato

05/06/2025: I stopped by Marinato Trieste during a visit to the city and I was thrilled. The restaurant overlooks the sea, with a splendid view that alone is worth the stop. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is courteous and knowledgeable, always attentive without ever being intrusive.
The Neapolitan pizza is really well made: soft, digestible dough, with original proposals and quality ingredients. I tried the pistachio and mortadella one and it was one of the best I have ever tasted. The seafood cuisine also deserves a mention: well-prepared dishes, generous portions and very fresh fish. The appetizers and selection of local wines are also excellent.
Prices in line with the quality and location. Quick service, clean and very well-kept environment.
I will definitely go back on my next visit to Trieste. Absolutely recommended both for those looking for a good pizza and for those who want to enjoy fish dishes in an elegant but informal setting. Congratulations!

I went to this place to get take-out pizza with a friend of mine and they were very kind and the food was excellent. I sincerely recommend coming and trying the place🫶🏻

19/05/2025: The food and especially the service were soooo good! My partner has celiac disease and can't eat gluten for that reason. The waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us excellent advice. She even shared the information with her colleagues, and when we wanted to order dessert, she immediately suggested gluten-free options.
17/05/2025: Overrated. The pizza is not exceptional, in fact, a little heavy but in the evening.

01/05/2025: In via Torino, nella zona intorno a piazza Venezia pullulante di locali, è facile non sapere dove andare, e come evitare i bidoni. Venivo alle Botti da quando ero studente - parliamo dunque di trent’anni fa - e anche se la gestione è ovviamente cambiata da quella volta, è sempre un luogo che offre una garanzia. Il locale è un po’ fané, ma per i triestini questo è solitamente un motivo in più per venirci, anche solo per un’esperienza da tipico buffet triestino, con vari tipi di cicchetti, come polpette (fritte, non in umido) a più gusti, melanzane e zucchine fritte, e magari un buon panino col prosciutto cotto in crosta condito con senape e kren (rafano)! Ma è anche un ristorante, e qui racconto la mia ultima esperienza. Dopo l’immancabile polpetta, mi sono deliziato con una tartare servita su salsa di parmigiano, millefoglie di melanzane e burrata, e paccheri con salsa leggermente piccante al peperone. Finale con immancabile fetta di Sacher fatta in casa. Conto sugli 80 euro con vino.

03/06/2025: Loved every second of this restaurant. Service was brilliant, food was delicious &, although we sat outside, sitting inside would have been just as enjoyable due to the setting.

Having perhaps arrived at the wrong time, in the middle of another service, we were seated anyway but then a little "forgotten". Good dishes but prices a little high considering the portions. Fried to review.

02/05/2025: Unique experience, delicious pasta and fresh fish cooked with passion and experience. Grilled with space sea bass. The owner and chef are very welcoming and friendly. Price more than fair for the quality and quantity of fish.
Very welcoming and characteristic atmosphere.
We stumbled upon it by chance but will return on purpose.
Highly recommended for anyone.

02/06/2025: Abbiamo mangiato in questo ristorante pizzeria vicino a canal grande. Ci siamo trovati bene: pizza buona e anche i due.piatti di pasta con pesce erano buoni!
26/05/2025: We entered. We were taken to another room. We were given menus and... That was it. We left after 15 minutes. We couldn't even order drinks. The waiters walked around our table but forgot about us. We were afraid to risk ordering because they might forget about us again.

30/05/2025: This was a great place! The food was fantastic! Lovely atmosphere outside in the shade! The scallops were amazing and the pasta with wild boar was outstanding! Great service ! Would highly recommend recommend!
18/05/2025: Lovely restaurant with an excellent location. Service was good however the fish main courses were poor (not fresh) and rather expensive. Sides of vegetables were good and the salad was okay.

17/05/2025: This place has a truly unnecessary hype. We had two cappuccinos, which were served almost cold, which is never the case in Trieste or in Italy in general. The cappuccinos tasted only of milk. The service was also unpleasantly arrogant. The only nice thing about it is the ambiance.
Children are also not welcome. We constantly receive disparaging looks, even though our child was very quiet.

26/05/2025: Excelente comida. Teníamos el pollo y la tagliata de ternera, ambos muy tiernos y cocinados por expertos. El vino de la casa era un delicioso merlot. Ambiente muy relajado y acogedor. Tenemos nuestro conserje del hotel para agradecer la recomendación, ya que desde la calle parece un bar de vinos. Está a dos cuadras del lugar donde atracan los cruceros, por lo que es muy céntrico.
09/03/2025: Como recomendó el conserje en nuestro (excelente) hotel en Trieste, esto fue acogedor, buena comida, super elección de vinos por copa y buena relación calidad-precio. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Tuvimos una comida variada y magníficamente ejecutada - el sarro de ternera y el pollo lento - cocinado eran ambos sobresalientes - y cuando el conserje del hotel y sus colegas llegaron para su almuerzo, entendimos su recomendación! No lo dudes.

23/05/2025: We were here two nights in a row and we were a very large group. Nevertheless, the pizzeria reserved a room for us and the service was fast. The waitress was very nice.
The first night we had pasta with tomato sauce and then chicken legs with chips. The second night they gave us pasta with tomato sauce again and as a second course we had hamburgers and French fries. The hamburger was not a great success... The tiramisu and the profiteroles are highly recommended.
I did not give the maximum rating to the environment because in the innermost room there is no cell phone reception.

10/03/2025: Di ritorno in questo locale dopo alcuni anni mi accorgo che purtroppo la buona impressione ricevuta la primo volta non viene confermata. Si puo' comprendere che due persone ,da sole, tra cucina e "sala" facciano fatica a gestire 5/6 tavoli ma il servizio è lentissimo...se entri con fame rischi di dover chiedere 3 volte il pane prima che arrivi qualcosa in tavola. Abbiamo mangiato un buonissimo primo piatto di gnocchi con gli scampi e due piatti di frittura di calamari molto elastici ...non mi sarei mai aspettato di vedere che gli stessi provengono da una busta del congelatore. Siamo al mare , il periodo è giusto ...se proprio dovete metterli congelati almeno scongelati a dovere e friggeteli come va fatto invece , purtroppo una delusione.
22/12/2024: Luogo perfetto. Ambiente accogliente e retrò, servizio ineccepibile e cibo ottimo. Cozze, pasta al granzoporo,gnocchi agli scampi e tocai. Sorbetto offerto. 56 euro ben spesi. Torneremo!!! Maoooo!

07/06/2025: HUNTING EXPERIENCE
I booked the table the night before on the online site, providing my credit card details, and was warned that if I didn't show up they would charge me the sum of Euro 75. I arrived promptly at the restaurant and was seated at a completely bare table and was brought a bottle of water. I waited 40 minutes and no one arrived..
Impatient, I turned to the Maitre who in a hasty tone told me that the water was on the house and that due to a problem they couldn't let me have dinner, in fact they shouldn't have even let me sit down... so why leave me waiting for 40 minutes without any communication? Maybe a phone call before arriving would have been enough, since I had left my contact details when booking... Unfortunately I couldn't have dinner, and I was rudely sent away, thanks anyway for the generous offer of the bottle of water... maybe to apologize for the inconvenience they could at least have offered me an aperitif (I was alone). The service at this restaurant and the handling of the "problem" they had that evening is mind-blowing...
06/06/2025: I don't usually leave reviews. Here I have to. I arrived for lunch with a colleague at 2 pm. I asked if I could have lunch. I was told yes. From then on, a series of pressures from the Maître d'. A tall, well-built man who I discovered had been there for a short time. I asked if I could have the wine list, he told me that we had to order first. And quickly. Because the kitchen had to close. A series of jokes made to me, like telling my colleague that women take a long time to choose... (3 minutes 3) In the end he made me take what he wanted due to lack of tranquility. He sat at the table and never left. Exhausting. Forgot to bring us the wine.
Which then took care of it, the wonderful boys and girls for whom I gave 4 stars to do this and more, otherwise I would have given 1.
I'll leave out other details because I would go on too long.
In short, everything is fine. But the restaurant is also and above all made by the staff.
If it weren't for the other guys I would have gotten up and left.

15/02/2025: Valentine's Day dinner: mediocre. I don't think I've ever eaten crepes with cheese and truffle that were sadder than those, empty and the cheese sauce was just cream. HORRIBLE.
