07/04/2024: I had booked a table for 1pm. We arrived slightly early as it was raining. We didn't get off to a great start...when we entered they snubbed us a bit, but once we were seated, everything changed. It feels like we've gone back in time. Courteous staff, good food, not a cheap place. We took 2 typical local soups, 1 bottle of water, a rather small glass of wine and 2 coffees.

06/04/2024: We didn't eat here. It reminded me of the bar in Cézanne's famous painting. Fabulous atmosphere. Also houses a book shop.

07/04/2024: The waiter at 10.45 said that the cafe opens at 11.00, but when there was an order for food, it was not accepted, they offered drinks, after 45 minutes at 11.30, they said that the kitchen is open from 12.00. This is an undisguised trick to lure customers.

07/04/2024: We went on Easter Sunday for a large family lunch, there were 12 of us. The service was attentive, thoughtful, kind and patient. Even though the place was full inside and out. We ate very well. The dishes prepared and presented with care. The starters are very good. The mix of fish is excellent and light! Excellent desserts. The place is clean and tidy despite limited spaces. Clean facilities!! A truly enjoyable lunch!

02/04/2024: Due to a mix-up in the booking, when we arrived the place was overbooked but they did everything they could to find us a table; Despite the crowds, the dishes arrived quite quickly. Varied and interesting menu, offers very particular dishes, well presented and tasty. Good quality/price. Advised!

01/04/2024: Its location makes it close to the attractions of the centre, small and welcoming. Its strong point is the friendliness of the staff and the authenticity of the products. Two of us had 1 starter, 2 first courses, 2 desserts, half a liter of wine, water and 2 coffees for a total of 90 euros.

27/03/2024: I had dinner and lunch with my partner in this wonderful place, kindness and excellent high quality food. Particular praise for the desserts which are spectacular to say the least and thanks also for welcoming our little dog, I can't wait to go back, thank you very much

27/03/2024: Warmly welcomed by friendly staff in a rustic atmosphere. The stylish wood-fired oven in the entrance immediately catches the eye. The fact that the restaurant is fully booked on a Wednesday lunchtime speaks for itself. The friendly service and the top pizza with fluffy dough, together with the above-mentioned ambience, only allow for a 5 star rating. 2x tuna pizza 2x Cola 1x mousse eau chocolate with cake = 32 euros More than fair. Definitely highly recommended for us. 👍🏻

30/03/2024: The best place in Trieste without a doubt. Quick, with great variety, delicious pizzas, gluten-free dough, fried pizza, special tiramisu with chocolate biscuit. Professional and attentive service. For me it's always a yes.

28/03/2024: A popular place, so make a booking. The quality is great. We got to watch them make the pizzas as we waiting for our meal. Didn't try the gluten-free pizza, but saw one and it looked incredible. Gluten-free pasta was delicious.

05/04/2024: I just had the coffee, but as soon as I sat down I was attacked by a bad smell from the sofas? Flooring? The waitress left us the 50x50 tray with the two coffees on the table without placing them on the table...maybe it's the Trieste custom? I don't think so... it has certainly lost a lot of the retro charm it had.

02/04/2024: A guarantee for an excellent Neapolitan pizza in Trieste. Cozy and centrally located place, helpful and attentive staff, clean facilities. Not only recommended for pizza, but also for delicious fish dishes. Overall 5 stars deserved.

02/04/2024: Really good aesthetic impact, central in a pedestrian area. Of the 6 dishes we ate, none satisfied our tastes. Bad luck or inadequacy? I don't know, the fact is that the scallop wasn't seen nor the sea cicada... maybe they were blended but do you know? We were hoping for sweets but they lacked balance. If you present me a dish in such an elaborate way I expect particular and successful combinations but (again in our opinion) this was not the case.

21/03/2024: Came by chance to this place in a secluded historic corner of Trieste, very elegant and refined interior environment. Service prepared in impeccable service, dishes to taste with food cooked with great professionalism , you can see that this place by looking at the service and the placing of the dishes on the table with great elegance. Very varied starters with excellent combinations from mackerel to sea bass fillet or cod. I ate a second course of very fresh octopus cooked on the grill combined with porcini mushrooms with a pumpkin base. I must compliment it, it was excellent, perfectly cooked, being a modest taster traveling around Italy. I must say excellent wine cellar, both domestic and foreign from the best wineries or brands. Price for what we ate and drank was fair Highly recommended
