We’ve heard it’s quite famous – often whispered about as a celebrity favorite and a must-visit spot on the island – but honestly, it didn’t feel overhyped or exclusive; instead, it welcomed us with a down-to-earth charm that made the evening feel personal and special. From the moment we arrived, we were transported into a fairy-tale setting under a canopy of vibrant lemon trees, with twinkling lights and the gentle scent of citrus filling the air. The scenery is breathtaking: nestled in a lush garden grove, it offers views of the surrounding hills and a serene, almost secluded vibe despite being in the heart of Capri. It’s like dining in a private oasis, where the natural beauty of the lemon trees overhead creates a canopy that sways gently in the breeze, making every glance upward a delight. The entire process was seamless and delightful. We made reservations well in advance through their website, which I highly recommend – this place books up quickly, especially during peak season, so planning ahead ensures you don’t miss out. The staff greeted us warmly and guided us to our table with such genuine hospitality that we felt like honored guests. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, offering thoughtful recommendations from their impressive menu. We started with fresh antipasti, including perfectly seasoned seafood and their signature lemon-infused dishes, which were bursting with flavor and highlighted the island’s local ingredients. For mains, we indulged in the homemade pasta – the lemon ravioli was a standout, light yet rich, and paired beautifully with a crisp white wine from their excellent selection. And oh, the dessert bar! It was a highlight we won’t forget – an abundant spread of fresh, house-made treats like lemon tarts, tiramisu, and seasonal fruits, all artfully displayed under the lemon trees. We loved wandering over to pick our favorites; it added a fun, interactive element to the meal and capped off the dinner perfectly. What we loved most was the whole experience: the magical garden atmosphere, the impeccable service, and the way every detail came together to create lasting memories. Da Paolino isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a destination that captures the essence of Capri’s charm. We can’t recommend it highly enough and are already planning our return. 16/10/2025: I took a pizza making class. The chef was so friendly & made everyone feel welcome. I loved the hands on experience. Rolling out the dough is not easy. It was fun to add the ingredients (sauce, bay leaves, cheese and olive oil) to the dough. My pizza was placed in the oven and it came out so tasty & crisp. Later, we were served a variety of pizzas along with wines. I thoroughly enjoyed the class!

18/01/2026: Several rooms adapted to different spaces, internal or accessible externally. I stayed in an external room accessible by wooden stairs, nothing serious; I can still manage it. Very spartan. The location is perfect for visiting towers and castles.

06/01/2026: Family vacation, 5 nights, half board: Family-run hotel, a bit dated but partially renovated... Simple and basic rooms Good breakfast and dinner, but there's no buffet, and service is a bit slow for those with small children... Very friendly staff Great location for traveling up and down the Aosta Valley Definitely worth considering for my next visit to the valley!

25/02/2026: For a lunch experience, I would say that the prices are excessive, the glass of wine is expensive, you'd better get a bottle, I would say that the location is very nice, welcoming and clean, but guys, I would revisit the prices, or have I fallen for the umpteenth time into being taken advantage of by tourists, who I don't see anymore anyway and so I round up, well, I don't know 🤷

25/02/2026: A very warm and welcoming restaurant, friendly staff, and fairly fast service! We ordered a house platter to share, which was very good and had a nice selection of fried foods. The highlight was the gnocchi alla Sorrentina, a generous portion and very tasty! As for dessert, it was a bit small and lacked a wow factor, but overall it was okay.

18/01/2026: I waited a few days before writing this review because I wanted to process it. The two of us went for lunch on Tuesday, January 13th. The bruschetta from Lazzari appetizer was passable but expensive. The menu also included a seafood sauté for €25, but they brought just a clam sauté. Perhaps they could have warned me it was a seafood sauté. I had octopus, which was tough and rubbery; a small portion cost €20.

26/10/2025: The beachfront location and bay view are beautiful... and that's about it. The reception was cold. The staff were unhelpful in choosing dishes. We felt unwelcome. The Italian guests are clearly favored; they even ran out of olive oil for us. The pasta with vengola was awful. Considering the service and quality of the food, it was overpriced. Surprisingly, our complaint about the poor pasta was accepted, and that was the only time we received any attention. The dish was replaced with a very tasty pasta with mixed seafood. Why wasn't it done immediately? We don't know, we don't recommend it, and we won't be back.

01/02/2026: I had the mussel soup. I absolutely don't recommend it: the lupini beans were closed, the mussels were few and skimpy, and the octopus was nonexistent. The freselle had sauce underneath for added volume. In short, a rip-off that cost €18.00.

06/01/2026: I was traveling in Italy and stopped at this restaurant. The marinade was very fresh and the pasta was truly delicious. I absolutely recommend this place if you're in the area!

31/10/2025: We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. The service was quick but not too fast, the food was excellent, and the view of the harbor and the sea was relaxing. It's reasonably priced for the quality and service (€90 for two people, including an aperitif, a main course, a dessert, and a coffee each). I highly recommend it!

05/07/2025: Recomiendo mucho este encantador restaurante. Increíbles vistas del atardecer con fabulosos cócteles. Luego cenamos en el encantador restaurante cubierto, la comida era increíble. Recomendaría el pulpo a la plancha (pruébalo, ¡el mejor que hemos probado nunca!), luego el risotto de marisco estaba increíble. El traslado desde y hacia el restaurante fue muy de agradecer. Un servicio encantador y una velada inolvidable. ¡Gracias!

24/01/2026: Truly a lunch to remember. After visiting the royal palace and botanical garden, while waiting for the train to Naples, we met Antonio, who invited us in. How lucky we were! The food was delicious, light and plentiful fried food, and the anchovies were fabulous. Delicious desserts. Reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back.
