02/09/2025: We were looking for a local panini on the beach and found it at Samy's. It was rich with mozzarella, tomato, ham, arugula, and parmesan, and it was divine.

18/08/2025: Neapolitan pizzeria with a capital N. There were 5 of us, we had an appetizer, 5 pizzas, 2 draft beers, 5 cokes, 2 waters, 2 meloncelli, a limoncello, and 3 coffees... total 100 euros... a great price... you will find friendliness and professionalism. Try it, they accept credit cards.

18/07/2025: A group of friends went to this pizzeria to catch up after a long time apart. We found a room full of people with their children screaming like crazy. It was impossible to have a conversation, so much so that we came back with sore throats. There was only one waitress, assisted by another who came in sporadically, and no one in authority to ask these people to lower their voices. We were basically at a market. The appetizers were very good, but I would have something to say about the pizzas, which were poor in ingredients. Would I go back? Definitely NOT!

10/05/2025: Locale centralissimo a Fuorigrotta, personale molto gentile ma la pizza non mi ha molto convinto malgrado ci fossero pochi clienti: cornicione a tratti alto,a tratti sottile oltre ad eccessiva presenza di olio e senza basilico

29/09/2025: James and the entire staff was amazing. We had a perfect evening with our family and friends. The pictures don't do enough justice to just how wonderful everything was for us.

16/09/2025: We arrived around 9 pm and approached the manager, who appeared to be the one in charge, asking if there was a table for two. Initially refused, he invited us to take a table under the portico. We sat down, but it seemed as if we were invisible. No one even brought us water, nor a menu. About 15 minutes passed and still no one was in sight, so I went inside and complained to the manager about his behavior. After my complaints, he rudely asked me to leave and leave the table, a request I didn't hesitate to make. I can't judge the food, but rudeness and unprofessionalism abound in this establishment.

02/11/2025: We had passed by this restaurant which was right by our hotel, and dined at a couple of other restaurants. When we had dinner at ChezBlack, it was truly the best meal we have had, in Positano. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs, which she declared were excellent. I had the lasagna, which was I believe some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was superior and the atmosphere by the beach with children in Halloween costume was very Vibrante. I would highly recommend this to any travelers to Positano. I also had the distinct pleasure of being introduced to and visiting with Signore Black by Roman, the Maître d', a wonderful host. A wonderful dining experience.

02/11/2025: Horrible attitude, reluctant to serve. They are also there to loot unnecessarily. There are hidden charges, for example if you are ordering food and eating in the restaurant there is a charge of 4 euro per person and this was mentioned after we finished our food.

05/07/2025: Siamo rimasti colpiti positivamente da questa pizzeria. Essendo emiliani e per la prima volta a Napoli abbiamo scelto casualmente il locale e siamo rimasti soddisfatti delle varie tipologie di pizza assaggiate. Ottimo servizio e prezzo onesto.

27/06/2025: Ci ha accolti la gentilezza e professionalità di Raffaele, accomodati all'interno di una sala che sembra raccontare ai clienti il carattere di Napoli. Consigliati sapientemente abbiamo scelto una frittura alici, calamari e gamberi accompagnati da una delicata maionese al lime che ci ha stupiti. A seguire la pizza che era da provare doverosamente...e che vi dico? Una poesia! Consigliatissimo anche per il rapporto qualità eccezionale/prezzo. 16/10/2025: A truly enchanting place for the view it offers. Fixed menu for €45 on Sundays. Various appetizers, then a choice of first course and second course, finishing with dessert. I must say I ate well. We had a problem with a cut of meat. The owner apologized and immediately offered another dish. The atmosphere is not suitable for infants, but everything else is surpassable. Friendly staff. We'll definitely return to take some photos of the dishes.

29/09/2025: We had lunch with friends yesterday. I had high expectations for this place... but it was a disappointment. The food was poor. There was a set menu with a choice of first and second courses. The Genovese was a slop. The second course was a slice of beef with arugula and cherry tomatoes. It tasted like charcoal and was tough. The fried fish, let alone the fish, remained intact on the plate, limp and flavorless. The dessert was perhaps the only edible thing: baba with cream. The place is worth it, it has a spectacular view. I don't recommend it and I wouldn't go back. The waiters were top-notch, poor thing, they should have absorbed customer complaints. Improve the quality of the food... little but good.

25/04/2025: Se apri il ristorante durante giorni festivi ti devi organizzare di conseguenza, non è ammissibile avere una certa pretenziosità e scarsissima organizzazione. Se dimentichi un ordina non devi arrampicarti sugli specchi ma scusarti con il cliente.

19/10/2025: Don’t do it. As said in other reviews, this business is greedy. A reservation was made by our tour guide for lunch, when we got there the waiter asked if we were having just drinks. We said we intended to have lunch. We ordered drinks and realized my husband didn’t care for the menu. We said we changed our minds and wanted just drinks. The waiter said if we didn’t order lunch they would charge us 100€ for the little boat that took us from our tour boat to the restaurant (less than 50 feet). He said it was the owner’s policy. We had to eat lunch there. I also heard an older couple at the table beside us ask if they could split a risotto. The waiter said no. This place was not packed, and we were in fact the first people in the place. We told our tour company who said that little boat transfer was included in our tour cost and vowed to never recommend them again. Terrible service.

23/07/2025: We stopped by for a lunch during the trip in Capri, that was late March, just before the season opening so there weren't many places open yet. Al Capri was recommended by our Italian tour guide. The place is specious with lots of tables available, clean, with breath-taking views, decorated in Mediterranean style which is very welcoming. We ordered pizza and spaghetti al limone. That was best spaghetti I've had in Italy during the whole stay. The pizza was good, it didn't make in the top 3 out of 10 we tried though. Good selection of wine. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was served in timely manner. The places has lots to offer, including the beautiful decor and views, good food and location- it's off the main square so it's not so crowded but still close La piazetta.

18/07/2025: Attirati dalla musica romantica di un bravo pianista live, ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorante a pochi passi dalla famosa piazzetta di Capri. Subito accolti con gentilezza siamo stati accompagnati al tavolo a noi assegnato. Il nostro cameriere Angelo ( di nome e di fatto ) ci ha consigliato e coccolato. Il mio “Fusillone ai frutti di mare” è stato a dir poco sublime. Vista spettacolare e atmosfera incredibile. Super consigliato! Nancy B.

21/07/2025: Gran lugar para una buena cena en el centro de la ciudad de Amalfi, pero justo al subir las escaleras por la catedral principal que le da espacio lejos de los negocios de la plaza principal. Fuimos allí a cenar la primera noche en Amalfi y devolvimos nuestro abeto de ida y vuelta anoche. La comida era de lejos la mejor que tuvimos durante nuestra estancia en Italia. El aperitivo de pulpo (cocido lentamente durante muchas horas) fue el mejor pulpo que he probado. Los ñoquis de Nonna fueron los mejores ñoquis que he tenido (por suerte mi nonna no leerá esto). Están llenos de queso así que definitivamente para los amantes del queso. Mi compañero probó otra especialidad local, espaguetis con pesto de limón. Sin duda un plato muy único que disfrutó mucho (para los que les gusta el limón y la pasta). También probamos aperitivo de mariscos y fue impecable. El servicio era amable y acogedor y nos sentimos muy bien estando allí. Este sigue siendo nuestro lugar favorito en Italia y seguimos mencionándolo. Fue divertido, romántico, pero también un gran lugar para las familias.

30/06/2025: Gran lugar lejos de la locura de la plaza de Amalfi. A la sombra y menos mesas. Excelente comida excelente servicio muy amable. La mejor comida que he comido en mucho tiempo

18/05/2025: Terrible experience!!! I have never gone to a restaurant waiting 2 and a half hours and being left without food! Three times they told me that the fish was cooking and instead it wasn't even in the pot! They didn't even apologize, rather a rather presumptuous attitude!

07/09/2025: Tasteless food, average service and no atmosphere. A shame as the location is spot on with an incredible view but can see why it’s one of quietest restaurants in the area. Sadly won’t be recommending this place.

23/08/2025: Unfortunately, we didn't order anything because, despite having a reservation for 10 people, the restaurant was CLOSED!!! We still briefly enjoyed the view from the terrace WITHOUT food or drink. Unfortunately, the restaurant failed to score.
