20/08/2026: On August 18, water cost €0.50 On August 20, the same water cost €1 without a receipt. Your thoughts. The price is ridiculous, but people don't take the piss. Tourists included.

25/06/2026: Friendly staff, I only ate a small pizza and it was good.

06/08/2026: The food is excellent: chicken cooked in a wood-fired oven, delicate and flavorful, well-seasoned. The service is excellent; the owner is friendly and exudes a unique sense of calm. The atmosphere is well-kept and clean, and you can choose from a selection of top-notch wines, liqueurs, and grappas. We always love returning.

22/07/2026: There were 4 of us and we asked to sit down, it was more or less 9.30pm and we very kindly asked if we could use the bathroom and we were told that there wasn't one. We ordered 2 chickens divided into 4 portions and the gentleman told us that next to each portion of chicken you have to pair a portion of potatoes. The chicken was very good the potatoes were dry and burnt almost as if they were frozen we ordered 2 sandwiches and 6 cokes. When we asked for the bill and the bill was 68 euros, we split the prices and we read that 2 portions of potatoes he made 4, leading us to believe that we had asked for it and on top of that half a kilo of potatoes cost us a whopping 20 euros. For me, holidaymakers should honestly be treated better than the locals otherwise I am forced to declare that this is nothing more than a tourist trap especially with the fact that two people were served before us and we were first

01/11/2025: Terrible experience, we ordered 2 scarparielli and when the bucatino arrived at the table it was raw and the sauce was acidic, not to mention the appetizer. Furthermore, the prices are sky-high, I absolutely do not recommend it.

05/07/2026: We had a very concerning experience with La Fontelina regarding their €400 no-show fee. Our guests had a confirmed reservation, arrived, and had lunch, yet our card was still charged as a “no-show.” When we contacted the restaurant, they initially claimed we never arrived and then became unresponsive. It was only after returning in person with proof of the visit that the charge was reversed. Be aware that if you leave the island, it can be extremely difficult to resolve issues, as they may not respond to calls or emails. I strongly recommend checking your bill carefully and keeping all receipts when visiting. If you put down your card when making a reservation, make sure to do so with a credit card that has good claim back and insurance. This restaurant will for sure try to squeeze every dollar out of you.

04/08/2026: We went in to get some ice cream/slush. After waiting 10 minutes, when I asked, "Do you have normal cups since my daughter is celiac?" I got an answer I'd never had before. "Ma'am, we don't SELL to celiacs," then she gave me the usual spiel about cross-contamination, etc. I asked if she couldn't have the slush either, and she reiterated that she couldn't. Perfect. I didn't think twice, I made my entire family of 4 people stand up, and we left. I wouldn't have even asked for a glass of water after an exclamation like that... and I've heard quite a few... Shortly after, you'll find a bar/ice cream shop that also caters to celiacs. Since I have 3 celiac grandchildren, the lady who served us...

06/06/2026: While waiting for the ferry home, breakfast at Mummolone is a must. The croissants are delicious. The owners are very kind.

05/04/2026: Two stars: one for the sea view, the other for the friendliness of the waiters. Everything else was terrible: I had a caprese salad for a whopping €16, which didn't even include a single whole mozzarella, just three slices of truly poor quality. I was very disappointed, as I expected much better from a Mediterranean place so close to Naples. My boyfriend, on the other hand, had a Margherita pizza (choosing from the only 6/7 pizzas on the menu). He received a watered-down pizza, lacking flavor, and made with low-quality ingredients. It's the perfect place to fool poor foreign tourists (obviously not in economic terms, since the prices are very high anyway) who have no idea what true, good Italian cuisine is. The quality-price ratio, as you may have already guessed, is TERRIBLE. A ruined and wasted lunch.

22/03/2026: Amazing margarita pizza and lemon sauce pasta from this very beautiful restaurant. The service was really good . Gnocchi with tomato , garlic and aubergine was fantastic . Overall a very good experience !!!

04/08/2026: Very good, it has air conditioning, it's not hot and it's quite comfortable, the food is amazing and the service is very fast and attentive, the restaurant is very clean, and the price is good, I paid €53, nothing extravagant for the food, what I recommend most is the Gnocchi with sauce and cheese, I highly recommend it.

02/08/2026: Bad service and mediocre food in two occasions makes this place a hard pass. They favor locals to tourists you can see it in the service. Wrong order, uncut pizza, place is poorly run.

07/03/2026: The food, service, and atmosphere were terrible. It was cold inside, and we were offered a choice of dishes, including some rather nauseating fried fish. The portions were tiny (when we asked for second helpings of fries, they were almost counted), and the fish seemed almost raw. The staff was almost always rude. This was definitely an experience we wouldn't repeat. It's worth noting that we were kids on a school trip who had to spend the entire afternoon walking.

07/03/2026: Had the margarita pizza. Pretty large portion for only $8. Taste was about what you would expect. Would have it again!

02/08/2026: The service was great, the food was amazing – I highly recommend the gnocchi, and I wish I could take it home with me to Poland. Definitely come back after your sightseeing!

09/06/2026: The location was absolutely gorgeous. It is not close to much but the view is spectacular. The room itself, breakfast, and service were terrible. The beds are uncomfortable with sheets that had holes and felt paper thin. We stayed with several others who had ran out of toilet paper, were hesistant to give extra towels, the shower has so much build up that it is not usable unless using the hose. The breakfast was subpar with pastries that were not great and a coffee machine that didn't give espresso and the other options gave burnt espresso or coffee. The dinner service was awful. We had plans to eat two nights and ended up going somewhere else the next night in Sorrento. Great place to at least lay your head at night but definitely most basic of rooms.

29/05/2026: 2 Days: What can I say? A bad experience: nightmare rooms with no light, poorly maintained bathrooms, bar service, and buffet breakfast, with no attention paid to the coffee machine and the cappuccino, which were empty! The only positive thing: the friendly owner and the strategic location with a beautiful sea view. The rest needs to be reconsidered.

28/06/2026: Terrible food, waiting times that were nothing short of shocking, not to mention the suffocating heat inside the building.

21/06/2026: We stayed 3 days, now we're leaving, the food was very good, the room was clean, everyone was kind. Thank you.

16/08/2026: The ice cream here isn't very good. It's store-bought, pre-made ice cream.

12/08/2026: I've been coming to Scala on vacation for several years and always stop at this bar. Friendly staff. Welcoming atmosphere... an old-fashioned bar but very familiar. I always love coming back.

03/06/2026: The pizzas arrived almost instantly, which was impressive. Unfortunately, everything else seemed to be participating in a different event. The fries we ordered never showed up. The salad arrived whenever it felt like it. The drinks didn’t arrive at all until we reminded the staff that beverages are usually part of a restaurant experience. Then came the highlight of the evening. After asking about our drinks, a waiter disappeared, returned a few minutes later, and informed us that they didn’t actually have what we ordered. Fair enough. So I ordered a peach iced tea instead. A few minutes later, I was proudly presented with a lemon iced tea. At this point I realized that ordering here is more of a suggestion than an actual request. Communication throughout the evening was completely nonexistent. Nobody seemed to know what was happening, including the people working there. But the grand finale was truly special. When we asked to take our leftover pizza home, the staff generously placed an empty cardboard box on our table and let us pack everything ourselves. Thank you for the interactive dining experience. I always dreamed of working in a pizzeria after paying for dinner. Overall, the food was okay, but the service was so spectacularly bad that it became entertaining. If you’re looking for a restaurant where every order is a surprise and every interaction feels like a social experiment, this is the place for you. One star for the pizza. The rest belongs in a comedy show. 😂😂😂😂🍕

02/06/2026: The place and staff were ok... the food left much to be desired, we had a Genovese that tasted like it was pickled in oil, the salad was tasteless... there were 4 of us and we ate in batches every 20 minutes.
