14/10/2025: Our experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing. From the start, the service was inattentive and unprofessional. Out of our group of four, one person received their dish well after everyone else had finished eating, and when it finally arrived, the pasta was undercooked and inedible. To make matters worse, we had to step away from the table just to find salt, as none was provided—and the server never once apologized or acknowledged any of the issues. No compensation was offered, not even a simple gesture to make up for the poor service. Overall, it felt like the staff was completely disengaged, and the experience left a bad taste in all of our mouths—literally and figuratively. Definitely would not recommend.

13/10/2025: The only positive quality is the very kind Mr. Alfonso, who single-handedly runs the entire place and makes you smile just looking at him, the manager is a bit fake, the dessert was good.

20/07/2025: Abbiamo trascorso una bellissima serata, per iniziare prima della carne ci hanno offerto una serie di antipasti davvero tanto apprezzati, la carne consigliata da loro ottima. Lo staff disponibile e il conto davvero onesto ,molto consigliato.

18/08/2025: Neapolitan pizzeria with a capital N. There were 5 of us, we had an appetizer, 5 pizzas, 2 draft beers, 5 cokes, 2 waters, 2 meloncelli, a limoncello, and 3 coffees... total 100 euros... a great price... you will find friendliness and professionalism. Try it, they accept credit cards.

18/07/2025: A group of friends went to this pizzeria to catch up after a long time apart. We found a room full of people with their children screaming like crazy. It was impossible to have a conversation, so much so that we came back with sore throats. There was only one waitress, assisted by another who came in sporadically, and no one in authority to ask these people to lower their voices. We were basically at a market. The appetizers were very good, but I would have something to say about the pizzas, which were poor in ingredients. Would I go back? Definitely NOT!

01/10/2025: I went to Masteria Sardo for a group lunch with several friends, and overall it was a positive experience. The location is stunning: surrounded by greenery, with a well-kept garden and a panoramic terrace overlooking the lake, creating a relaxing and evocative atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, even with a large group like ours. They gave us a warm welcome, even allowing us to enjoy an aperitif in the garden, despite it being a bit far from the restaurant. Regarding food, the quality is good, but—to be honest—I found the prices a bit high for a farm stay. The wines are above average, and even the set menu is quite expensive for the quantity: four good but not generous appetizers, then a first or second course (depending on the package), and of course water, dessert, and cover charge not included. In the end, a full meal easily costs over 50-60 euros per person, even more if you choose a good bottle. In short, a beautiful location and friendly service, but prices are a bit higher than expected for the type of food offered. Ideal for a special occasion, less so for a casual lunch.

28/09/2025: We booked a table on the restaurant's official website via QANDOO. When we arrived at the restaurant, the manager told us that reservations on the website were blocked (it wasn't stated anywhere, and it was the restaurant's official website) and teased us by saying there had been a virus and a problem with the terminals the night before. She then suggested we go to their bar, at 2:00 on Sunday, when we obviously wanted lunch. I definitely won't be returning, and the negative review is well-deserved. I recommend coordinating your phone reservations with online ones, since it's 2025. You can fool other people, not me.

29/09/2025: James and the entire staff was amazing. We had a perfect evening with our family and friends. The pictures don't do enough justice to just how wonderful everything was for us.

16/09/2025: We arrived around 9 pm and approached the manager, who appeared to be the one in charge, asking if there was a table for two. Initially refused, he invited us to take a table under the portico. We sat down, but it seemed as if we were invisible. No one even brought us water, nor a menu. About 15 minutes passed and still no one was in sight, so I went inside and complained to the manager about his behavior. After my complaints, he rudely asked me to leave and leave the table, a request I didn't hesitate to make. I can't judge the food, but rudeness and unprofessionalism abound in this establishment.

08/09/2025: Rude staff, mediocre coffee, and prices designed to squeeze tourists. Feels more like a trap than a café — definitely not worth your time or money.

03/09/2025: €20 for breakfast for three people (€4 for a cappuccino) because I didn't have any cash. Mediocre croissant. Never again.

05/10/2025: We visited in July during our Honeymoon. This was one of the most recommended restaurants in the area. Many famous people have been here and so of course we wanted to give it a try. The atmosphere and location are great. The ambiance is also great and the food was good. The 2x we went, it was for lunch. The 2nd time we visited, they seated us and then rushed us to give our order because the kitchen was closing. When we were being seated or when the server 1st came to us they could have told us. They also could have told us no and we would have understood but it wasn't nice being rushed. The food was good, portion sizes were nice. and just a heads up the tomato salad isn't a salad. its just a plate of tomatoes :)

02/10/2025: ⭐☆☆☆☆ I visited Chez Black on Monday the 29th at 2:00 PM to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends, and unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. Despite requesting a special table in advance for the occasion, we were seated at the very back of the restaurant, far from the lively atmosphere and with a poor view. It felt like no effort was made to acknowledge the celebration. Service was also below standard — we had to ask multiple times just to order drinks and request bread, and not once did anyone check on us during the meal. The entire experience felt impersonal and careless. Based on this visit, I would not recommend Chez Black, particularly for special occasions. A real letdown from a place with such a strong reputation.

12/10/2025: The food was excellent, except that our reservation was for 9:30 and they seated us at 11:30 PM, allowing dozens of people who arrived later and without reservations to pass in front of us, two of us. The pizza was excellent, and I recommend it if you're a calm person. The waiters were polite and helpful, except for the one who greeted us at the door, who decided who to seat based on his personal preferences. I recommend it, hoping it's better during the week; I strongly advise against it on weekends. Oh, and of course, the amaro after they've already brought you the bill isn't included.

12/10/2025: I wanted to share this experience with others that will decide to come over here. You are having a variety of other pizza places that you can eat a pizza for 1/3 of that price, and we just got one pizza for a 3 year old kid and were supposed to pay coperto for 4 people just because that was the number of people sitting at the table. For the context - we were visiting a number of other pizza places before, trattorias, ristorante etc, ordered much more than one meal and never had to pay coperto for the kid. Nevertheless, I strongly don’t recommend. Don’t make our mistake, choose the other places around.

27/07/2025: The carbonara was fine, but the clam pasta was just average and I'm almost sure the clams weren't fresh since I had a stomach ache afterward. They hit you with a €2.5 service fee per person that isn't mentioned anywhere, and they don't even bring you any bread. The server felt a bit shady, the music was way too loud, the extra fan in the corner seemed pointless, and my table wobbled. With fresher ingredients, clear fees, calmer music and a solid table, it could be a much nicer spot.

05/07/2025: Siamo rimasti colpiti positivamente da questa pizzeria. Essendo emiliani e per la prima volta a Napoli abbiamo scelto casualmente il locale e siamo rimasti soddisfatti delle varie tipologie di pizza assaggiate. Ottimo servizio e prezzo onesto.

27/06/2025: Ci ha accolti la gentilezza e professionalità di Raffaele, accomodati all'interno di una sala che sembra raccontare ai clienti il carattere di Napoli. Consigliati sapientemente abbiamo scelto una frittura alici, calamari e gamberi accompagnati da una delicata maionese al lime che ci ha stupiti. A seguire la pizza che era da provare doverosamente...e che vi dico? Una poesia! Consigliatissimo anche per il rapporto qualità eccezionale/prezzo. 13/10/2025: The pasta was completly raw, way far from “al dente”. They brought another one, but the portion was ridiculously small, as if I had eaten the first one (that I barely touched since it was raw). When I told them, they acted like they didn’t understand. Just go to another restaurant where they respect tourists
