Ristorante Pizzeria Turistico In Pompei

We were part of a tourist group that had the €20 set menu. However, we were not informed of what to expect. We received no menus and had to listen to the choices verbally, which was a challenge as the waiter spoke broken English (still many times better than my Italian). I was given the option between two types of pasta, and at no point made aware there would be a side dish or dessert. It maybe a good idea to give future customers a small set menu (print out) they can read and see what they will be recieving for lunch to avoid confusion. The food in general was o.k, but not really restaurant quality. I was unable to eat the dessert and offered a fruit salad, which I accepted. It arrived and was 2 small slices of melon. I know this place has a high turnaround of customers from the Pompeii tours, and they have to do their service at speed, but it just feels lacking and poor customer communication. It's in a great location and could be a great restaurant if they just addressed the problems in the comments.

Pizza and soda to go. The best I've ever had!!

The Pizza Capricciosa (€12) was tasty, but unfortunately, it had canned mushrooms. The mixed salad (€6) was fresh, but sadly, it lacked proper dressing; it only had a little oil and salt on it. Cover €2.50 per person. Service was okay. Conclusion: Perfectly adequate for a snack after visiting Pompeii.

We really enjoyed the Restaurant Touristico in Pompeii. It's located directly opposite the Pompeii archaeological site and next to the tour bus parking area. The salad was fresh, and the pasta and pizza were delicious. The waiter was also friendly and efficient. Our only disappointment was the olive oil. Italian restaurants usually serve very tasty olive oil. Here, the oil was in a bottle and tasted like supermarket oil. Everything was good. Luigi, the owner, is a very professional and friendly person.

We saw the reviews and were a little apprehensive, but our experience was fabulous. The lasagna was spectacular, the spaghetti delicious, and best of all, the pizza was the best! We'll be back! Oh, and the tiramisu was by far the best I've ever had. Great value for money.

A welcoming place, perfect for a break during a busy day of sightseeing. Friendly staff, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere. Recommended!

We ate very well, the staff were kind and above all it was an excellent lunch.
