We felt like we were hosted at Marta's house because the cuisine was all home-made and made with love and passion, the starters were out of this world, the first courses were stratospheric and the dessert was a cream and strawberry tart and the tiramisu and chocolate cake was an unforgettable delight. I say two people.... and two plates of linguine with clams without any sense, you are presented with a bill of 85 Euros, without a second course, without a side dish, without coffee or liqueur... well then it will mean that the sense of logic has run out, the value of money and above all the sense of modesty that should exist when you find yourself in front of a customer and you present certain bills... well what can I say... we go to restaurants, for work and for pleasure, but this is the first time that I have been presented with such an embarrassing situation. Our mistake? That of not having looked at the menu with the prices... but it's part of the experience. I had a wonderful lunch there based on fish, the dishes are simple but with excellent raw materials and tasty combinations. I recommend it!

The location is very beautiful with internal rooms and terraces overlooking Capri. The owner Francesco is the plus of the structure with his friendliness and competence. Amazing staff Well done!!!

16/10/2024: Stayed here for 2 nights in Oct. And even though I did not get to use the sun decks everything was perfect. If you dine at the restaurant u have to order the mussels. It was the best we had the entire trip. Service was excellent, we had a room with terrace and it was the most beautiful sunset. (room 7) 4* for location as it’s not the most accessible! U need a taxi boat most of the time or if u walk it’s a hilly dark road to the castle/ponte area. Every single staff was so kind.

13/10/2024: Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti dalla receptionist Francesca che ci ha dato il benvenuto con un grande sorriso, ( al quanto difficile da trovare oggi altrove…) e ci ha fornito in maniera impeccabile tutte le indicazioni per usufruire del nostro soggiorno. Abbiamo iniziato dalle piscine, tra cui 3 di acqua calda e 1 temperatura ambiente, pulitissime e nuove. Poi ci siamo diretti verso il solarium esterno sospeso sul mare con vista mozzafiato sulla baia di Cartaromana, dove ci siamo concessi un po’ di relax e qualche bagno a mare. Nel pomeriggio abbiamo avuto modo di conoscere la signorina Emilia, gentilissima e super disponibile a qualsiasi nostra richiesta, che si è occupata dell' organizzazione della nostra cena , riservandoci un tavolo vista mare ed esaudendo ogni nostra richiesta sempre con il sorriso. Alla cena ci accoglie Emiliano, accompagnandoci al tavolo. Su suo consiglio abbiamo scelto un menu degustazione di 5 portate lasciandoci guidare dall’esperienza e professionalità di Emiliano e dello Chef. Prodotti freschi e ricercati, si sente tutta la passione e la ricerca del dettaglio; i crudi ottimi, per non parlare delle cozze alla griglia con intingolo alle 12 erbe isolane e gli gnocchetti con pesto, vongole e taralli. In particolare complimenti alla Pasticcera Roberta, pasticceria davvero di livello, tiramisù e torta a cioccolato da libidine.😍

Complimenti senza dubbio alla cucina: tutto quello che ho preso era ottimo, dalle bruschette con i moscardini alla grigliata mista, peraltro mai vista una grigliata così ricca da nessuna parte fino ad ora. Un abbraccio forte a Mamma Rosa che con la sua grinta gira per i tavoli e ti fa sentire come se fossi a cena dalla nonna!! Complimenti, tanti e di cuore. Tornerò senza ombra di dubbio.

23/02/2025: Purtroppo, l'esperienza da frate cosimo è stata molto deludente. Nonostante avessimo una prenotazione, abbiamo dovuto aspettare quasi un'ora per sederci al tavolo, non è un buon inizio di serata, ma capiamo che di sabato possa accadere. Quando finalmente è arrivata la tagliata a uno di noi, si è accorta che non era condita con l'aceto balsamico, come indicato nel menu, ma con una salsa di colore scuro immangiabile e con un odore pessimo, che a detta loro era una salsa di ceci. Come se non bastasse, abbiamo trovato un pelo nel dolce, cosa che può succedere anche nei migliori locali, ma la cosa che mi ha infastidito molto è quando lo abbiamo segnalato al cameriere, lui è andato a segnalarlo in cucina e un altro cameriere gli ha risposto in modo arrogante, dicendo che era impossibile che fosse accaduto. Non torneremo sicuramente e non possiamo consigliare questo locale a nessuno.

05/01/2025: Raggiungerlo è un impresa. Scesa dall auto quasi mi rompevo il piede, visto la strada dissestate. Abbiamo aspettato un ora e mezzo per la pizza. Pizza bruciata lateralmente , molto sottile , secca, e sotto tutta sporca di cenere. Abbiamo preso il vino della casa che sembrava aceto. Antipasto mediocre di salumi.

12/10/2024: On a recent trip to wonderful Capri (September 2024), we were fortunate enough to dine at the D’Amore restaurant, which has an exquisite and beautiful atmosphere! My wife and I were very well attended to, with excellent cordiality and attention from the Chef and Carmeriere. They did not spare any “treats” in the appetizers and the meal was spectacular, in quality, delicious and magical aromas and flavors, magnificent wine list (I chose wines from the Campanha Region). The dessert was also a show in itself! I recommend it to everyone!

14/03/2025: Bonjour, Nous avons diné un soir chez vous, voici nos impressions: - Belle salle - Très bon accueil - Cuisine plus que correct - Vins : coefficient multiplicateur un peu trop élévé, x0,75 de trop, bouteille commandée, au nez ça va, de la réduction, un peu d'oxydation, je fais un signe de de tête que ça va être bien, puis par contre en bouche rien de tout ça... un bouchon présent, vraiment dans le coté bois mouillé, armoire de mamie. Je lui dis " There is a cork, you should try it, maybe you'll tell me if it need some oxygenation?" il sourit, rigole, tourne les talons et part... Bon communication compliquée, je suis en vacances, je n'ai pas envie de me battre, je bois la bouteille en espérant vraiment que ça évolue, hélas non. - 2eme actions amusantes lors de la commande du dessert : Le serveur/ Barmen, arrive. nous tend les carte et dit " If you have some space for the dessert". Ma compagne prend le chocolat et je lui dit en reprenant sa formule " nothing for me, no space available, gracie", il revient avec deux desserts... On commence à se demander si vraiment ils nous prennent pour des pigeons. Le Personnel était plus attiré par leurs amis au comptoir On paye 200€ et on part. Ce fut une soirée quand même agréable, mais il est vrai que si des amis visitent la région nous les orienterons vers nos autres options.
