22/09/2025: A true pearl of Ischia! At Trattoria da Peppina di Renato we finally felt we had found the real Italy. The atmosphere was a feast for the senses: authentic, steeped in history and tradition, with every detail in the décor arranged with taste and passion. Francesco, with his stories, guided us not only through the dishes but also through the soul of the island: its soil, its wines, and the deep roots of its cuisine. It felt as though we had been welcomed into the living memory of a family. The grandmother’s meatballs with pine nuts, in their rich tomato sauce, captured me from the very first bite. I truly felt as if they had been prepared by a nonna herself, with that love and patience only a grandmother can give. I can say, without exaggeration, that I had never tasted anything so delicious, so tender, so perfectly balanced. Then came the pasta with rabbit sauce and herbs. Wonderful! Followed by the traditional Ischian rabbit dish, which I had longed to try since arriving on the island. It was intensely aromatic, served with real, rustic fried potatoes. And yes, we followed Francesco’s advice: we even did "la scarpetta"!!! Dipping bread into the rabbit sauce was a revelation. We paired the meal with a local Biancolella, produced just a few houses up the hill: fresh, crisp, and mineral, with that volcanic rock note that gives Ischia its name as the "green island". The evening ended with two special digestifs. One was made of arugula, unique and vibrant, and the other was Piperna, a true spirit of the island. A must try! This was not just dinner, but a journey into tradition, authenticity, and warmth. Thank you from the heart for an unforgettable evening. We will carry this inspiration back to our own little Italian restaurant in Germany, and we hope to return soon, at least once more, to relive this magic.

12/09/2025: Wonderful evening. Professional and very helpful staff. Excellent food quality and absolutely reasonable prices. What more can I say... the tradition and history of Ischian cuisine with expertly combined reinterpretations. The place is beautiful and exudes joy with a hint of nostalgia... all accompanied by the greatest voice and guitar on the island of Ischia. Well done guys (did you give your lighter back?)

31/05/2026: Very nice, unique place, local food. We ate cavatelli with puleio, a local aromatic herb. Cod alla pertecaregna was excellent. Good cuts of meat and well-prepared vegetables. Guitar music played in the background with traditional Neapolitan pieces, kindly played by an elderly gentleman. We will definitely be back.

25/04/2026: A delicious lunch with a house antipasto, ravioli with walnuts and cheese, and a large 700-gram steak—all very good. The place is unique, resembling a small square with a fake balcony inside, where clothes are hung out to dry. Lunch was enlivened by the music of a kind gentleman playing the guitar.

01/07/2026: Good food, but the wait for food is excessively long. Prices tend to be high. A chicken salad, a Coke, and bruschetta with tomatoes cost €31.

29/06/2026: A young club with highly skilled instructors for both padel and tennis. A well-maintained location and excellent management.

18/07/2026: Pleasant atmosphere. They gave us a complimentary limoncello at the end of our meal. Our waiter, Antonio, was very attentive.

13/07/2026: Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the main courses. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a try.

10/07/2026: We were walking to find another restaurant we couldn’t find and when we passed by La Fenice we noticed the fresh fish outside in a cooler and decided to go here instead. I’m SO glad we did. Our server was lovely- suggesting things we didn’t think about and both of our meals were not only beautiful but tasted just as good as they looked! I had shrimp with lemons and melons drizzled in balsamic and my husband had fresh fish in a delicious lemon sauce. We will definitely be back!

04/05/2026: I had a wonderful time. I'm celiac, and eating gluten-free isn't a problem here; in fact, they're AIC-certified and understand exactly what safety means for us. I tried everything from the entree to the dessert, and I have to say everything was delicious, fresh, and authentic. I highly recommend it.

06/07/2026: The pizza was really good. If you like spicy, ask for the pepperoncino which is an olive oil ty infused with crushed red peppers

28/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An excellent restaurant in the heart of Salerno's historic center. Everything was simply perfect: the highest quality dishes, prepared with the freshest ingredients and with meticulous attention to detail. Every course was delicious, and you could sense their love for cooking and respect for the ingredients. The staff was extremely kind, professional, and welcoming. The atmosphere was also elegant, relaxed, and very pleasant. It's one of the best restaurants I ate at during my stay in Salerno. I wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely be back!

07/09/2025: Spectacular location overlooking the Aragonese Castle, beautiful sea. Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff, from the waiter Mario to the lifeguard. Average prices and excellent quality. We'll definitely be back.

11/05/2026: How can this restaurant post Michelin 2024, 2025 on their front and served such horrible food ? Though the finely staged and choreographed service was excellent, we had a terrible seafood dinner on a cold (11C) airy night (inside the restaurant with opened front door by the seaside) 2 weeks ago. Not recommended in wasting your hard earned money there.

09/05/2026: We had such an amazing meal at Soul & Fish! The servers were very kind and knowledgeable about the wine and food. We ordered the ceviche, seafood risotto, lobster ravioli, and sautéed broad beans and peas. Each dish was unique, fresh, and beautifully presented.

18/06/2026: One of the best meals we had during our stay. The pizza & pasta were delicious, and the caprese salad was one of the best I've ever had. The staff is so kind and attentive, the prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.

06/07/2026: I've been to Che Macello - Hamburgheria, and unfortunately, the experience wasn't entirely convincing. For my taste, I didn't find a flavor that really stood out, and I found the sandwiches a bit too salty. This is entirely my personal opinion, but it wasn't an experience I'd repeat. On the other hand, I'm very positive about the location, which is really nice and has a well-defined identity, and the staff, who are always attentive, kind, and helpful.

17/05/2026: The atmosphere is simple yet welcoming. The pizzas are light and easy to digest, truly delicious. The focaccia accompanied by sautéed vegetables is also sublime. All the ingredients used are top-quality. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. In short, a superb culinary experience!

When you first arrive, it's so simple you can barely believe it, but then... friendly staff, quality ingredients, and perfectly leavened pizza dough. The result was wow. Everything was delicious and the value for money was excellent. We'll definitely be back and I recommend it to everyone. The Diavola is sublime.

14/12/2025: Every time we return to this restaurant, it's a pleasant confirmation. The cuisine offers refined dishes, carefully crafted and prepared down to the smallest detail, showcasing the quality of the ingredients. The staff is always friendly and professional, making the atmosphere even more welcoming. The prices are fair and competitive, certainly more than adequate for the quality offered. A place truly worth recommending and, above all, one we'll keep returning to.
