03/06/2026: We were in Ischia over the June 2nd long weekend, and after several disappointing lunch and dinner experiences at other restaurants, we stumbled upon La Ruota, where we had an excellent experience: the welcome, friendliness, quality, service, and variety of dishes... what more can I say? Lunch at La Ruota was a complete surprise. We ate wonderfully and were pampered by Marcella, who delighted us. The zucchini and mussels specialties are a must-try, a superb combination of ingredients and quality.

02/06/2026: We ate very well. The atmosphere was family-friendly, and Mrs. Marcella was very friendly!

31/05/2026: Very nice, unique place, local food. We ate cavatelli with puleio, a local aromatic herb. Cod alla pertecaregna was excellent. Good cuts of meat and well-prepared vegetables. Guitar music played in the background with traditional Neapolitan pieces, kindly played by an elderly gentleman. We will definitely be back.

25/04/2026: A delicious lunch with a house antipasto, ravioli with walnuts and cheese, and a large 700-gram steak—all very good. The place is unique, resembling a small square with a fake balcony inside, where clothes are hung out to dry. Lunch was enlivened by the music of a kind gentleman playing the guitar.

04/07/2026: The lemon ice cream was delicious, the fresh fruit juice was very rich, and the iced coffee was also good. And all the staff were so handsome!

22/06/2026: Considering the high prices in Sorrento, it's reasonable. Excellent pizza, tasty sauce, good quality water, and Mimi's service was very polite and cheerful. We really enjoyed it!

31/03/2026: We were guests for a family celebration. The food was excellent, from the slice of pizza before the seafood appetizer to the cake. The staff was truly professional, experienced, and friendly. We'll definitely return on nice days to enjoy the view from the terrace.

15/06/2026: We enjoyed having dinner at this family-run spot. If we had more time in Naples, we would be regulars here. It is simple, authentic, and unpretentious, with excellent side dish choices. Hands down the best value in Vomero, topped off by a very friendly owner!

21/05/2026: What an evening, the servers really filled our night with laughter and good vibes. We had dinner at 10:30pm the food was so fresh! Would highly recommend having the mozzarella, the cherry tomatoes were so sweet. And the Gamberino was 12/10 wowww. Pasta was perfectly al dente, off menu simple pasta.

19/05/2026: An excellent, less touristy alternative, though now well-known, to more renowned establishments serving homemade Neapolitan cuisine. The appetizers, including fried foods, mozzarella, and parmigiana, are excellent. The Genovese and the spaghetti allo scarpariello are good, although the pasta with potatoes and provola (personal preference) are a good choice. The staff is friendly and quick to offer a joke. Recommended.

11/06/2026: La Pulperia is an excellent restaurant in Pozzuoli on Via Matteotti. It's not very large, but the dining room overlooks the Gulf of Pozzuoli. A friend recommended it to us, and we couldn't have recommended it better! The fish is incredibly fresh, beautifully cooked, from the appetizer to the main course, and everything was delicious. We went for lunch and ordered two tasting menus for €40. As mentioned, it's not very large, but there's an outdoor seating area. There are no architectural obstacles, so wheelchair users won't be affected. La Pulperia is also in an excellent location for parking, both free on the street (when available) and paid (two public parking lots very close by), plus two private parking lots nearby.

22/09/2025: A true pearl of Ischia! At Trattoria da Peppina di Renato we finally felt we had found the real Italy. The atmosphere was a feast for the senses: authentic, steeped in history and tradition, with every detail in the décor arranged with taste and passion. Francesco, with his stories, guided us not only through the dishes but also through the soul of the island: its soil, its wines, and the deep roots of its cuisine. It felt as though we had been welcomed into the living memory of a family. The grandmother’s meatballs with pine nuts, in their rich tomato sauce, captured me from the very first bite. I truly felt as if they had been prepared by a nonna herself, with that love and patience only a grandmother can give. I can say, without exaggeration, that I had never tasted anything so delicious, so tender, so perfectly balanced. Then came the pasta with rabbit sauce and herbs. Wonderful! Followed by the traditional Ischian rabbit dish, which I had longed to try since arriving on the island. It was intensely aromatic, served with real, rustic fried potatoes. And yes, we followed Francesco’s advice: we even did "la scarpetta"!!! Dipping bread into the rabbit sauce was a revelation. We paired the meal with a local Biancolella, produced just a few houses up the hill: fresh, crisp, and mineral, with that volcanic rock note that gives Ischia its name as the "green island". The evening ended with two special digestifs. One was made of arugula, unique and vibrant, and the other was Piperna, a true spirit of the island. A must try! This was not just dinner, but a journey into tradition, authenticity, and warmth. Thank you from the heart for an unforgettable evening. We will carry this inspiration back to our own little Italian restaurant in Germany, and we hope to return soon, at least once more, to relive this magic.

12/09/2025: Wonderful evening. Professional and very helpful staff. Excellent food quality and absolutely reasonable prices. What more can I say... the tradition and history of Ischian cuisine with expertly combined reinterpretations. The place is beautiful and exudes joy with a hint of nostalgia... all accompanied by the greatest voice and guitar on the island of Ischia. Well done guys (did you give your lighter back?)

01/07/2026: Good food, but the wait for food is excessively long. Prices tend to be high. A chicken salad, a Coke, and bruschetta with tomatoes cost €31.

07/05/2026: My wife and I made a reservation just after opening. The tables downstairs were already filled, as a light rain was falling. We were led upstairs through a half empty room of tables for two or four people, then into another room that was obviously for large parties. We were sat at the end of a table set for ten. The waiter felt the need to sing loudly every time he entered the room. We came for the history and the pizza, not dinner theater. We asked for the house wine, he said they don't do house wine. I asked for a wine list and ordered a very nice white and we ordered two pizzas. In the 50 minutes we waited for our food we noticed that almost everyone seated around us was a foreign tourist, like us. When the pizzas arrived, the margarita pizza was okay, but the second pie had the ham piled in the just in the middle, resulting in the center crust being under baked. We went down stairs to pay the bill, and my wife asked where the bathroom was. The staff laughed and said upstairs. I'm glad I paid more for the wine than the pizzas, as it was the best part of the meal.

28/05/2026: I arrived in Naples today, I tried this pastry shop, I ate maritozzo, sfogliatella nuvola, everything was excellent, impeccable service, very kind
