17/05/2026: We went to Solomos for pizza. Two four-seasons pizzas and two draft beers came to €40. They're thick pizzas, which isn't really my style; I prefer thin ones without such thick crusts, but that's how they make them in the south. I thought it was expensive.

05/05/2026: The castle is now a restaurant and small hotel. I believe visitors can tour it for €5. They have only one room. Wedding banquets are often held there. We only had one soft drink.
05/05/2026: A great scenic spot with easy parking (at least in the off-season). But the castle itself was a bit disappointing even for the €5 entry fee. Filled with catering paraphernalia, low-quality prints of medieval artwork, and cheap looking replica armour. Very few, if any, genuinely antique decorations. Felt more like a bad amusement park attraction than a genuine historical site

16/06/2026: We stop at a little restaurant tucked away before the hospital, and, surprise, the appetizer is plentiful and exceptional, with fresh bread and exquisite olive oil. Immediately after, a plate of tagliatelle with sun-dried tomatoes is truly out of this world; it could have fed three people. Kudos also to the frescoed wall with the history of the Manfredi restaurant, and paintings that make one think of the Art Nouveau era. Kudos also to the kindness of the staff, and the waitress in particular.

03/06/2026: Great courtesy and kindness. It's a pleasure to talk to Clara and her son Riccardo, the owners of the business. They show uncommon care and attention, demonstrating exquisite hospitality. The food is excellent and expertly prepared, including using herbs from the garden. The food is light but truly delicious, and highly recommended. If you want to spend a few pleasant hours surrounded by nature and enjoy good food, this is the place.

You can choose coffee or tea plus some kind of croissant (filled with chocolate, marmelad,...). It was tasty and big enough for breakfast. The stuff was helpfull, english speaking.
