11/11/2025: The food was very good, as was the service and prices (November).
We ordered homemade pasta with Tropea onions and stuffed squid.
The squid (video in the file) was amazing. I'll be back for it again and again.
The "Tartuffo" dessert wasn't worth the price, although very good; one piece is more than enough for two people.
My overall rating:
Worth coming back here, the best restaurant in Tropea :D

03/08/2025: Simply wonderful, elegant, and welcoming. The mixed fried fish and pizza were delicious. Impeccable service; the waiters and waitresses were very kind, courteous, and fast.
Perfect value for money! I recommend this place to everyone! ❤️
09/06/2025: The cold cuts appetizer was really really great. The service was always impeccable. I liked the pizza a little less because I felt it wasn't very tasty but it was certainly due to the excessive saltiness of the cold cuts.
Unique in some respects in the area.

13/09/2025: A magical location with a beautiful view. The owners are very attentive and attentive to their guests' needs. Delicious pizzas with a light, easily digestible dough, and what can I say about the goat with potatoes... simply AMAZING! See you soon.

09/08/2025: I'm giving it 5 stars because of the very friendly owner and everything I've tried in two consecutive nights going for dinner. I'd say it's the best place for good, quality food within a mile radius. It's worth getting in the car and trying it out.

Very kind and welcoming, this little family is offering their customers authentic food prepared with care and skill.
We've become regulars and always enjoy the dishes.
The music is appropriate and served at a pleasant volume.
The prices are fair and in line with the product.

22/09/2025: We went on a Saturday evening. It's a true, traditional trattoria, simple, and has the atmosphere of old-fashioned eateries. The host is extremely kind and helpful. The mixed antipasto, fusilli all'aietana, and grilled veal steak with eggplant and mushrooms were all excellent and the portions generous. The prices were more than fair. It was a pleasure dining here.

I piatti (tra primi e secondi) confermano la qualità e la passione che i proprietari mettono nell attività. Complimenti torneremo alla prossima ricorrenza. 03/05/2025: Una vera scoperta! Alla Buca del Re si mangia benissimo: piatti gustosi, porzioni generose e ingredienti di qualità. Il titolare è simpaticissimo, ci ha fatto sentire come a casa fin dal primo momento. Siamo andati con un gruppo di amici e siamo rimasti tutti super soddisfatti. Torneremo sicuramente!

13/10/2025: What a wonderful stay with comfortable accommodations, fabulous staff and chef and lovely spot to enjoy incredible scenery!
16/09/2025: A beautiful B&B. But only for those who can climb stairs easily and have no problems. It's located in the center of town and only accessible on foot. Excellent breakfast, though the restaurant is closing in September. Fortunately, there are other restaurants nearby. Definitely recommended if you can walk well.
