15/02/2026: I had dinner here with my girlfriend on Valentine's Day. Even though we were a little late for our reservation, we were greeted with kindness and professionalism. The pizzas were delicious, perfectly leavened and made with quality ingredients. The selection is varied, with unique pizzas that are different from the usual classics. One of the best we've had in the area, we'll definitely be back.

04/01/2026: My boyfriend and I had lunch at Rifugio La Principessa, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful: she let us try truffles harvested that same day and welcomed us with great simplicity and attentiveness. The service is excellent, and the place is very quiet and surrounded by nature. All the products are locally sourced and produced by them, and you can sense the passion and authenticity of these simple, genuine people. The location is exceptional, easily accessible, and has ample parking. Their social media page is also interesting, where you can see all the activities they organize. Highly recommended!

15/08/2025: We went for lunch and the experience was decidedly positive. I wasn't in perfect physical condition, so the owner, with great kindness, prepared me a simple white rice dish. At the end of the meal, in a truly appreciated gesture, he even excluded it from the bill. The welcome was warm and the service very professional. A high-end restaurant, where the ingredients, especially the fish, are of the highest quality, among the best found in the Soverato area. The delicacy and care in preparing the dishes create a truly pleasant experience and reflect the chef's culinary philosophy. A place where you feel welcomed and respected. Definitely recommended!

19/04/2025: I honestly don't understand the negative reviews about the bill...fresh fish has its price, and for those who can judge without bias, it's clear that the quality of the ingredients here is top-notch. The service is discreet but punctual, and perhaps the wine list could be expanded with a few international labels, but it's not much.

02/11/2025: Beautiful and charming location in the heart of Tropea. But I really can't say enough about the deliciousness of the food I tasted. I didn't go for typical products, but for classic seafood and meat dishes. I don't recommend the seafood appetizers; they're really nothing special. The ravioli with shrimp and scallops were good. Otherwise, everything was normal, with excessive prices. The wait for the food was exaggerated, despite the good service and numerous staff. Worth a look.

30/10/2025: Found on a recommendation. The charming atmosphere begins right at the entrance, where you stand on a glass platform overlooking the old wine cellar. The tables are well spaced. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and conversation. Luckily, we reserved a table. Very attentive service. Delicious bread served in a paper bag. The €2 cover charge is reasonable. Good selection of typical Italian dishes. We enjoyed the food, and the meat was exceptionally tender.

02/02/2026: It's great to stumble upon a castle over a thousand years old along the way. The views are absolutely stunning! The restaurant is highly recommended; we had a seafood lunch and delicious, local wine. Michele, the owner of the castle, a wonderful man, escorted us and showed us around the castle. He shared the history and how his father began rebuilding it. A magical place, we wholeheartedly recommend it 🥰

Yes, definitely a stop for those who love beautiful things. The staff's hospitality is 10+ (I think the name is Vincenzo). I'll be back, in fact, I'll be back often.

07/10/2025: I went with my wife and son in September for dinner in the ancient cave. The seafood appetizer smelled bad and tasted nothing like seafood. The octopus was transparent and smelled bad—you couldn't tell it was octopus carpaccio; it was literally transparent, like tissue paper. The rest was anything but anything that reminded you of the sea. Everything was frozen and poorly treated. Parmigiana was the sore point!! It wasn't parmigiana, but a mixture of boiled eggs drowned in tomato sauce. I don't think they even know what eggplant parmigiana is; there were only boiled eggs. I wouldn't go back even if they paid me; it was a TERRIBLE experience that's hard to undo. They have no idea what Italian or Calabrian cuisine is. What a shame! These people were improvised and had never worked in a kitchen!
