20/03/2026: We chose this stay to be immersed in the Pollino National Park and easily explore the nearby hikes. The staff were incredibly welcoming, starting with our first phone call. Once we arrived, we found a lively restaurant with lovely people and traditional Calabrian music... dinner with entertainment included! The room was clean and super heated. The staff are available for any need, even after hours. These are the people and businesses we should cherish and develop! Thank you.

18/04/2026: We popped in for drinks and a snack, we were so impressed with the meals being served to other people and the friendly and professional staff that we came back the next night. The food was a very pleasant surprise, I had the Tuna Tataki , which was in my eyes done too perfection. Should we be in Tropea again then this will be our first choice.

18/04/2026: We've been traveling through Italy since January and have eaten at numerous restaurants. Last night, we experienced the absolute pinnacle of culinary delight at this restaurant. The tuna tataki was simply perfect. Add to that the friendliness of the staff, who always kept a watchful eye on the guests and spoke fluent English. One employee speaks eight different languages, so communication with most guests is certainly possible. Anyone who appreciates excellent ingredients and a truly wonderful experience in a small Italian restaurant should definitely pay this one a visit.

10/03/2026: I had dinner with friends at Riviera yesterday, and I have to say it's the best restaurant in Soverato, in my opinion. We were greeted by Domenico, the waiter, who was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to every situation. He presented us with the freshest fish of the day—truly excellent—and showed us every dish that could be made with the fish that was in front of us, which Domenico had previously explained to us. Everything was truly delicious; the fish melted in your mouth, and you could taste all the freshness and deliciousness. At the end of the bill, I expected to pay more, but I can say that the value for money is truly exceptional. I highly recommend it, and we'll see you again soon.

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏

My husband is still raving about how wonderful the Strangozzi al profumo di mare (fresh spaghetti with mixed seafood) was - incredibly fresh pasta and a great range of seafood in a delicious sauce. Large portions and served with bread (in a paper bag). I had the linguine with prawns and pistachio which was tasty. Local wine was easy drinking.

15/04/2026: We had dinner at this trattoria on Saturday evening, my husband, I, and our two children, ages 9 and 12. The staff was fantastic: friendly, welcoming, kind, and extremely helpful. The atmosphere was very informal and easy-going, just like a trattoria. But the trattoria-like characteristics stop there, in the sense that the quality of the fish, the presentation of the dishes, and their deliciousness are those of a true restaurant! They offer dishes based on the catch of the day, a guarantee of the freshest fish! We had their antipasto: ENDLESS! Cold, hot, and even raw dishes. Everything was exceptional! We had two appetizers that we shared with the kids, but those were already practically full. So many different but original, tasty, and excellent quality courses! Then we had two spaghetti agli scogli, one spaghetti with crab (the crab is caught alive from the aquarium!!), and swordfish rolls! They looked truly excellent, and the beautiful appearance confirmed the taste. Everything was exceptional, you could taste the fish was incredibly fresh, it melted in your mouth!!! And the portions were truly generous!!! And the price was truly competitive: 2 complete appetizers, 3 first courses, 1 second course, wine, water, and 2 sorbets for €120!!!! For what we ate, both in terms of quality and quantity, I assure you, it was really cheap! Really, congratulations!!!!! I've already recommended it to all my friends!!!
