02/11/2025: I had lunch at this restaurant on its last day of seasonal opening.
The view and location are spectacular. You literally eat your meal right at the sea: truly unique.
We had an appetizer (6px; part of the dish pictured) and then seared fresh tuna fillets with Tropea onions and balsamic vinegar (pictured), off-menu.
The bill was above average. The location and the rest were fine, but €27/person for the tuna was a bit too much considering it averages €50/kg, and when we ate it, it certainly wasn't 500g of tuna.
Overall, good, but needs revisiting.

The food and service, unfortunately, were disappointing.
If I were to return to Bagnara, unfortunately, it wouldn't be my choice to stop for dinner.
01/08/2025: I dined at Zefiro on two consecutive evenings, choosing from various à la carte menus. The appetizers are always made with seasonal, top-quality ingredients, expertly crafted and presented by the chef, and I was pleasantly surprised, whether they were meat or fish. The selection of first and second courses is quite extensive, and the pizzas are also tasty and generous, with perfectly leavened dough. The price is also significantly lower than I would have expected at a restaurant of this quality. I also appreciate the attentive and prompt service of the wait staff, their knowledge of the ingredients that go into the various dishes, and the varied wine list.

26/10/2025: Unfortunately, we can't rate the food. We didn't get past ordering water.
The table assigned to us was still dirty from the previous occupant...we then moved to another table...but after ordering water, things didn't go any further...they only had eyes for a group of Italian guests who then arrived...as tourists, we were no longer noticed...
That's life...we then left and didn't have to pay for the water...any consolation?
18/10/2025: A truly unpleasant experience. Another person and I came in just to get two coffees, but the barista told us he couldn't serve them to us because the owner had forbidden him to do so.
This is discriminatory and unacceptable, especially in a public place that should welcome everyone with equal respect.
The barista was evasive and initially pretended not to hear, but the owner's decision is shocking. We won't be returning, and we advise anyone against supporting a place that treats its customers this way.

19/08/2025: An excellent trattoria for spending evenings with family and friends. Good quality food and plenty of it. Efficient service with very friendly waiters. Pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. As for the bill, there were four of us. The appetizer was generous, and the four main courses were delicious and generous, and the price was very reasonable. Only €90.
Definitely worth returning.

During our visits, we often choose the platter, which offers generous portions for two. The pizza is also excellent. Prices are good value. On busy evenings, reservations are recommended.

20/09/2025: We visited this restaurant with some families and we all left thrilled! The fish was incredibly fresh, truly the catch of the day, and you could taste the quality in the dishes served. The owner, who is also the chef, personally advised us on our choices and proved to be kind, helpful, and very approachable.
The cuisine is excellent, dishes prepared with care and authentic flavor.
A nice touch that made lunch even more enjoyable? The presence of their parrot, Birillo, who won everyone over with his cheerfulness!
Highly recommended for those looking for good food, a family atmosphere, and an authentic experience in Pizzo.

16/09/2025: I've been from Catanzaro since I was born, and
since I love the sea so much, I should know every place, but I assure you, that's not the case 🤣🤣🤣.
I discovered this place purely by chance, and among the many beaches lined up, my "snack buddy" Nilde asked me which one inspires you? And I replied: "This one, definitely this one, because it has these elegant umbrellas, this tidy beach, and then I don't know, but this spot inspires me 🤣🤣." And so it was, 9 days of pure relaxation, thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend it, also for the kindness of Maria, her sister, and everyone else who helped make these days of vacation truly unforgettable.

07/09/2025: Very beautiful beach, well-maintained lido, excellent restaurant. Everyone is very kind and friendly, except for the guy (maybe the son?) who accompanies you to your umbrella. Prices are medium to high, but from my experience, it seems like even in Calabria they're overdoing it, thus hindering tourism growth.

18/12/2025: I discovered Serpente Rosso through a friend named Luigi Sarubbi. The decor and staff are top-notch, and the service is incredibly friendly from start to finish. The owner is also very friendly. We had a wonderful meal at what I consider a reasonable price for a fine dining restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area. I can't wait to return soon. Now we can travel better!
