08/07/2025: Very kind and friendly, good food, quick to serve,

08/09/2025: Even though we hadn't booked, we were able to sit down. We ordered cavatelli with sauce and meatballs, linguine with scampi cream, mussel soup, a pizza for the girls, and a bottle of Coke. Total €70. The food was good, nothing to complain about. The service was a bit less so. You had to keep calling if you needed anything.

06/09/2025: I had the cavatelli with sausage, olive, and meatball sauce. I didn't like it because it was poorly presented and the ingredients were a bit thrown together. The prices were high for the quality.

04/09/2025: The pasta is incredibly good! Simple, yet perfectly prepared, and the ingredients are of the highest quality! Try the tiramisu; it's probably the best I've ever eaten. The custard is airy, super creamy, and melts in your mouth. The biscuit is generously soaked in espresso, and the whole thing is topped with the perfect amount of cocoa powder (definitely not too little!). A definite recommendation!

13/09/2025: Heading toward San Nicola Arcella, we stopped at this place, drawn by the €15 fixed menu. You can choose between two first courses, one fish or one meat, and two second courses, again one meat and one fish. We ordered three full menus (two meat and one fish) and a caprese salad. Aside from the caprese, which was good (it's not difficult to combine mozzarella and tomato), both the first and second courses were absolutely tasteless. The sautéed chicory was inedible. The wait was interminable. We definitely won't return, nor do we recommend it, but we hope the restaurant will take these criticisms as a starting point for improvement.

19/07/2025: Voglio andare controcorrente rispetto alla moda di cercare la modernità a tutti i costi, elogiando questo luogo che sembra sospeso in un tempo passato. Entrando nel ristorante-pizzeria Maris tutto, ma proprio tutto, sembra essersi fermato agli anni '80. Come sono apparecchiati i tavoli, il tipo di tovaglia (che non risale certo a quegli anni, ma li ricorda assolutamente), le luci, i bicchieri, le confezioni di grissini!!! Dove le trovate più?! E il menù non è da meno: risotto alla pescatora (che non è niente male), ravioli ripieni di pesce e conditi con un sugo a base di panna (altrove è quasi un reato!) e salmone, un antipasto di mare con il cocktail di gamberi in salsa rosa (un must degli anni '80!), l'insalatina di mare servita nella conchiglia, le frittelle di zucchine...etc etc. Un tuffo nel passato, ma molto piacevole! Atmosfera rilassata, anche il personale ha divise e modi cortesi di un tempo. In sottofondo musica, generalmente italiana, anch'essa vintage. In definitiva, un locale amarcord dove si mangia complessivamente bene, con un'ampia scelta di piatti e di pizze "alla calabrese" (senza seguire la moda degli impasti contemporanei, con tot ore di lievitazione e idratazione alla percentuale tot...che un po' hanno anche stancato). Consigliatissimo per i nostalgici e per chi vuole mangiare rilassandosi in un'atmosfera garbata d'altri tempi.

30/08/2025: The food is low-quality and poorly cooked. The atmosphere is nice, but cats get in your way while you eat. They don't replace the cutlery. I'd say it's far from the 4.2 average.

04/05/2025: Zeker één van de beste restaurants in Scalea. Gelegen op een sfeervol pleintje in het oude centrum. Beperkte menukaart maar meestal staat dit borg voor verse en kwaliteitsvolle producten én dat bleek ook zo te zijn. Zeer vriendelijke bediening. Een topervaring.

26/04/2025: Posto finora perfetto stasera tanta delusione. 2 paccheri all astice 70€ ove in questi non c era nessun connubio. Non è una questione economica ma solamente pura mancanza di combinazione culinaria/soporifera. Non so se tornerò x dare un ulteriore chance. Saluti e buona vita

22/07/2025: Bella vista sul golfo di Praia a mare e sull'isola di Dino. Parcheggio interno e veranda all'aperto. Buoni i piatti di pesce un pò sopra la norma il prezzo. Personale cortese ed estremamente preparato, accettate i consigli sui fuori menù e sul vino. Ho assaggiato uno zibbibbo locale ottimo

18/07/2025: Non fermatevi alle stelle delle recensioni, magari è frutto di chi ha visto solo il conto. L'ambiente è romantico, il pesce è fresco e le porzioni super abbondanti. Il personale gentile e il proprietario alla mano. Per la qualità che offre i prezzi sono nella media degli altri ristoranti di pesce. Quindi super consigliato

21/08/2025: The service is poor, the waiters are unsympathetic, the food is average, and the prices are quite high for the quality of the place. The real surprise at the register—unfortunately, I only noticed it when I was already far away—was that the receipt they gave us wasn't a tax receipt, but a "preliminary bill" with the words "Please come home to collect the receipt," a typical system used by tax evaders. For someone like me who has always paid and continues to pay full taxes, it's a real insult. Never again. Shame.

18/08/2025: We had dinner on Sunday evening with friends. The location was welcoming and well-maintained, the pizza was good, but the seafood spaghetti was undercooked and lacking in sauce. The wait staff was friendly but unprofessional.
