24/07/2025: Locanda informale anni ‘80 con piccolo spazio esterno dove poter mangiare tranquillamente anche all’aperto. Abbiamo provato gli antipasti, la grigliata con patate, arrosticini, dolce. La vera tradizione casereccia locale. Nella semplicità, tanta sostanza e genuinità. Personale molto cortese. Il tutto a prezzi più che onesti! Un ottimo riferimento per la zona. 08/07/2025: Le Fiaccole was a favourite on its old site in L’Aquila. We have been so meaning to try out the new premises and the food. It was a very relaxed evening in the hands of people who know how to make people happy with food. A comprehensive wine lists, with many favourites.

25/06/2025: I'll give my review regarding the use of the pool... Yesterday my 15 year old son came to join some of his friends who were already there in the morning. He arrived at 1:20 pm and was told that either he had to wait for the half-day entrance at 2 pm or if he wanted to enter immediately he had to pay for the whole day... my son replied my friends are inside and I'll do 40 minutes outside, he was told then pay me the whole day and come in... now I'm not talking about the money but I say I'm a kid and for 40 minutes you're charging 4 euros... I understand the costs and everything, my wife and I are self-employed too but you made a fool of yourself...

17/08/2025: Very kind staff, comfortable room, water available, slippers, bathroom products, air conditioning (be careful, all windows must be closed otherwise it jams), very good buffet breakfast, nice swimming pool (even if we didn't use it), parking....!!!

20/07/2025: Posto veramente suggestivo e romantico, ideale per una cena di coppia. Menù fisso 70€ a persona con varie portate, buone ma non indimenticabili. Sicuramente non ci si alza da tavola con la fame. Piccolo appunto sulle canocchie, sempre servite non pulite, difficili da aprire e mangiare. Personale veloce e cortese.

15/09/2025: Worst restaurant in Ortona. Cold pasta, when reported, was returned cold in the same manner. High prices, very low quality.

14/09/2025: We happened to be there for lunch while three of us were strolling by. Attracted by the panoramic view, they reserved a table for us on the veranda. Excellent food, exquisite and very fresh fish, and delicious gnocchi handmade by the owner. The owner is superb, very friendly, and a true host. He even gave us a chili pepper he picked himself this morning, which we had carelessly left on the table. If we ever find ourselves in Ortona again, we will definitely stop by. 5 well-deserved stars

16/09/2025: A few weeks ago, a local friend recommended this place. A terrible experience...we ordered a (minimum) appetizer and a fish soup for three, which they claimed was a local specialty. Unfortunately, the soup contained only pieces of tasteless cod, except for a slipper lobster and two shrimp floating in a sea of ​​tomato sauce drowned in oil. As far as I know, the soup is made with 12 different seafood species, including red mullet, gurnard, and more. All for the modest price of €210 (without mineral water, dessert, coffee, or digestive). Bottom line: I will never return, and I advise friends and acquaintances against going there. The only positive thing was the service: the waitress and bartender were extremely helpful and kind, the only positive note.

15/09/2025: On our way back from a vacation in Puglia, we stopped for lunch. I think I ate the most insignificant first course of my life: spaghetti alla marinara with just a bit of calamari and three shelled, invisible clams. The pasta was overcooked and languid... unless you're truly hungry, you won't eat it. Two spaghetti dishes, two glasses of wine, not even coffee, €54... avoid it, people. Naio from Fano
